Like I said in the other thread, the game is not as bad as some reviewers make it sound.
I have no problem with the controls and haven't encountered any big glitches yet,  I'm just in chapter 3 though.
The only big issue is, that you can't save during a chapter, would be nice if this gets fixed with a patch.
I'd suggest playing the demo first.

Some very exciting news here. Frictional Games, the developers behind Amnesia, have basically come out with a statement that they're making a sequel. This site here takes you to a page with the Amnesia logo, the phrase 'Something is emerging' and if you click on the blurry image, it takes you to a Google maps view of China.

Ok this is cool, I heard of this 'game' called SCP-087 otherwise known as the 'Staircase Stimulator'. The aim of this game is to go down a continuous flight of stairs. And that's it. Thing is, I can't tell you if there is more to the game because of all the videos I've seen, nobody lasts for long  I don't believe the scares are scripted either as it randomly generates when to trigger events. And obviously the deeper down you go, the scarier it will be...

Best of all? It's free to download at only 31MB, and you can download it here. Turn off the lights, put on the headphones and play it!

[noembed]I got to the 70th floor wondering if anything was gonna happen... Reminds me of that game for some reason, maybe just because they are free indie games, although that was a door opening simulator.[/noembed]

This new Source engine game Dear Esther, do want. Looks like quite an experience. You just walk around exploring and take in the story.

This game was recently released and I've been watching 2 separate walkthroughs and I'm really digging it, it's pretty freaky.

So I decided to play SCP 087 and never again. EVER.

Even without sound the shadows jumping out at me freak me out and I really hate just seeing that thing standing at the bottom of the steps, my fear of the dark has increased...

I really liked the sound of the Silent Hill HD collection, both 2, 3 & Origins included, and was tempted to buy it, but then I saw they've tampered with one of the core aspects of the game. They've messed with the fog textures!! So much so that you can see unfinished sections of the environment. WHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYY?!?!

Speaking of Silent Hill, I finished watching Downpour on youtube yesterday 8) I thought it was pretty good, I was entertained watching it from start to finish - only the monsters were annoying because it looked like it took a while to get one down and if I was playing it myself, I probably would've been crying. Haha. And there were certainly moments that would've freaked me out if I was playing it. Not the best game for someone who has a fear of heights, for instance :D

Too bad the player whose game I was watching didn't do much exploring and just about no sidequests. It was his first SH so I guess he didn't realize that everything's there for a reason. Or he didn't just care, I dunno :D But because of this the playthrough was only 22 parts long, so that was good, and also he didn't babble over the game

Hard to say if this one is a survival horror or more of an adventure game, but it looks to have elements of both. Republique is a game exclusively for the iOS platform, but don't let it discourage you, because the graphics look really good, as good as anything for 3DS or Vita. Think it's under a Kickstarter project so it will need some donators to get more money for development in. But still, one to look out for, looks like an interesting concept.

^ kind of reminds me of this PS2 game called Lifeline (Operator's Side in the japanese version).

You have no how idiotic I looked like yelling into a headset to tell her to kill those enemies.  :nervous

The game has its share of problems with voice recognition. Also depends on how good the headset you're using.

Waaaah, I've been looking for the name of this game for ages!!!!!!
Back in the PS2 days I saw a trailer of this game once, but forgot the name of the game.

^ See I told you. The voice recognition wasn't that good. I remember there was this one part of the game where you and Rio had to speak in-sync in order to get access to a room.

Let's just say I have a good enough patience to get through and finally finish the game.

Oh and I also remember watching this X-Play review:

*sigh* If only she agreed to go into the shower as I told her to do. Or strip.  :smhid
