26 Mil is a far more sensible price than the 40 mil mentioned before, and if he's really that passionate about playing united as reported, then it would be great if we get him. Having only Ole as a backup in the forwards is scaring me me a bit.

lol, I can't believe Wenger said that. I think Crouch is good, its just weird, and kindof funny, seeing him run around. Nice goal against Galatasaray though.

Muh ha ha ha. N.Ireland FTW! Denmark are tied with us for 2nd place at the moment purely on goal difference. We're in a good position now regardless. And as for England...well, the less said the better.

I didn't get to see the game, but the sports news showed the results and I was quite surprised.

Rooney was back to his best against Wigan...and what a difference Giggs made to our structure when he came on! We really can't afford to have both Giggsy and ronaldo out of the side

So much for Rooney's loss of form...

And apparently the tabloids have already got their headlines at the ready if Chelsea's 3rd choice goalkeeper 'Hilario' makes any mistakes on Wed. Wouldn't be hard though

Huh? What did pundits say before the start of the season? Liverpool were the only team that looked strong enough to compete with Chelsea? Man United has a faulty team? That we had no hope of winning the title? Uh, I think the result from today shows otherwise. 2-0 to United, who are top of the Premiership, tied with Chelsea, and Liverpool are in 11th place with 11 points behind us. Early days but I can safely say Liverpools title run is over.

^ The way I see it, Liverpool are 11 points behind Man Utd/Chelsea. Both teams are on top form at the minute with consecutive wins both home and away. It's safe to say, Liverpool haven't been that lucky this season. Both Chelsea and United will have to make some serious slip ups of epic proportions, just for Liverpool to catch up.

Chelsea believe they have hijacked Manchester United's £25m move for Spanish striker Fernando Torres. (The People)

God, I REALLY hate Chelsea.

^ I know I wouldn't want United to play Lyon in a hurry. Very strong side, I think, and could go a long way.

3-0! Far too easy. Here I was, knowing Ronaldo prefers power over accuracy would do another kick that lands into Row Z, but that free kick was a peach.

I read the biggest pile of crap on Wednesday from a newspaper sports 'journalist' who said Sir (note Oliver Holt: Sir) Alex Ferguson achieved little after the 1999 treble and should have resigned after that. Who are journalists and chairman alike so trigger happy to say when a manager should resign or get fired? Ferguson clearly has a love for the club, the players and most importantly, the game, so why should he be forced to leave if he loves what he's doing? He's one of United's greatest managers and whom even rival managers like Wenger and Mourinho have the utmost respect for, and I find it disgusting the way this journalist and others like him are talking about Ferguson in that manner.

^ Hardly! United are having the best start to the season since they've ever been in the Premiership, are top of the table, 3 points ahead of Chelsea and have the best attacking and defensive record of anyone in the Premiership. Yes I'll always miss Ruud, but this team seems better suited without him with Saha and Rooney up front (certainly something I didn't expect to see). :D

What do you Liverpool supporters have to say about your title bid now? :P

RVN is thirty and had looked uninspired at times last year, what Saha gives us is much greater mobility through his endless running. So even when he's not scoring goals, he gives us much better link play makes our attack much better.

As good as RVN was, he was a predator and a predator only, so in hindsight, it was a good for both sides. What cocnerns me more is loaning out Smith, for goodness sake, that leaves Ole as our only backup!

I bet when Smith is on loan, Saha will get injured the very next day :P. Well we still have Rossi to come back in Jan, I think. And if the rumours are true we could have some extra support

I'm wondering if Freddy Adu will make an impression on Ferguson during his 2 week training session. Certainly looks United worthy to me, but I did hear him say he would go the club that would offer the most money. Knowing Chelsea, they'll simply buy out of spite.
