@kawaii beam: lol I get that a lot

@kurosawa87: yes, keep hope...

@Haruka: omg yes, you should still go to work!

Althought I'm honored by the fact that you missed a day to read my fic

@Swtme03: OMG i kno, short hair sexiness

@xanimefreak13x: Agh~ I'm trying to stop it from going down the K-drama road! Although if it does, i can't help it, cuz i'm korean so it's kinda in my blood...

@rnmdnwierd: yes, Sayu taking advantage of everything is the exact train of thought

@fallenxangel: would Sayu listen?

@oddball: Ai usually keeps her composure, except when it comes to Risa. that's why she feels resent towards Jun, even though she doesn't show it

oh, and TanaKame will get involved again soon

nice set of analysis there, i enjoyed it!

@kano-chan: I am so sorry.... I was trying not to cry while I was writing it too

@aussie: well, Sayu's in the fantasy world while Jun is just blinded by Sayu, even though it still pokes at her conscience

So I realize my chapters are getting shorter and shorter...

\AGH I'll do my best! especially during weekends though, can't wait till friday

Chapter 81 Something felt warm. She couldn’t move an inch of her body but she could tell someone was next to her. Who was it? Who was touching her hand? She wanted to see the mystery person. She tried to open her eyes but it felt as though something heavy was pushing down on her entire body, preventing her from doing anything. But she just needed to check who was next to her!
“Look! Her eyelashes just moved; she’s starting to wake up!”
She could never mistake that voice. It was
her. She definitely had to wake up now; she had to see her face!
She was greeted by the bright florescent light above in the ceiling. Somebody sighed in relief next to her. She turned her neck as much as she could— which wasn’t a lot— to see who the owner of the voice was.
The girl she was in love with was sitting by her bedside; their hands were tightly curled around each other’s.
“Risa-chan…?” the patient whispered.
“I’m right here, Sayu,” the older girl answered, smiling. “Welcome back.”
“How long have I been out?”
“Just a couple days.”
“It feels like weeks.”
“That’s because you were the one sleeping, silly,” Risa chuckled. “Junjun and I’ve been visiting you every day.”
Only then, Sayumi spotted the Chinese girl in the corner of the room. She was leaning against the wall, staring at the tiled floor. Her face was hard with no expression; she made no indication of wanting to join the conversation. Of course, Sayumi really didn’t care about that so much with Risa sitting right beside her.
“Why are you here?” the younger girl whispered, slipping her casted hands out of the bean’s grip. “Shouldn’t you be with your
girlfriend?”
“What girlfriend?” Risa grinned, taking her friend’s injured hand back into her hold. “Sayumi, I’m next to you right now because I’ll always be next you. I’m here to stay.”
“… You’ll stay with me?” Sayumi gasped, her eyes widening. “You’re accepting my feelings?” She tried to get up from the bed. Risa quickly pushed her back down.
“Yeah, I am, so don’t try to get up,” the older girl warned. “You’re entire left side of the body should rest, so don’t do anything funky.”
“Risa-chan!”
The patient weakly tugged on the bean’s arm, trying to pull her down. Risa laughed as she bent down to give the bunny the hug she wanted. Sayumi embraced the girl she loved as tight as she could without stretching her muscles too much. Then, she realized something was missing as Risa backed away.
“Risa-chan!” she cried. “Your hair!”
The bean’s light brown hair was cropped short, all the way up in between her ears and shoulders. Sayumi had been too preoccupied with the mere fact that Risa was next to her to realize such a big transformation.
“Oh, I thought it was time for a change… you know,” Risa grinned, flipping her non-existent hair strands.
“
I’m not an idiot, Risa-chan,” Sayumi thought, pursing her lips. “
Eri told both of us about the meaning behind cutting hair. You may be upset about leaving Ai-chan, but now you’re with me. I’ll never let you go… and you’ll learn to love me as time passes.”
The bunny smiled as she took the older girl’s hand again. Risa squeezed back, grinning.
“I’m going to be here every day,” she said. “So your part of the deal is to rest and get well as soon as possible, okay?”
“Okay,” the younger girl nodded. “I love you, Risa-chan.”
“I love you too.”
As Sayumi continued to chatter on with the bean, the pianist stood still like a statue in the corner of the room. She glanced at the two girls talking by the bed.
“
Shige-san is happy now,” she thought, “
so I should be happy. But… why does my chest still hurt? Is it this painful to let go of love...?”
She pounded a fist over her right chest as she wrinkled her forehead in deep thought.
“
Then how much pain did I give Gaki-san…?”
