So half of you seemed to be angry with Jun while the other half seemed to pity her. Whatever your view is, you have a very good reason for it.
Junjun is such a good-natured girl that killing an ant would hurt her. She considers Ai, Risa, Eri, and Reina her friends too. That's why it kind of split her up inside to know that she couldn't give Sayumi what she wanted because that would bring TakaGaki some sadness. But in the end, she made the
wrong choice of deciding that Sayumi was first and above everything on her agenda. But it still kills her inside to know she's brining misery to somebody else

One thing to know about Sayumi: She's just pure evil. Mark my words.

One thing about Risa's current state: Guilt, guilt, and more guilt.

I think that does about it. It's rather quite interesting to hear different opinions on the current plot, i'm enjoying myself

Chapter 80 “Are you sure you don’t need to eat anything?” Ai asked. “It’s almost lunch time.”
“I’m not hungry,” Risa mumbled, keeping her gaze on the ground.
The two girls were sitting together on the park bench. They had been on their way to the bean’s house but Risa had wanted to stop by the park despite the cold weather. Her entire body was stiff as she clenched her fist and bit down on her lips, overly conscious of her girlfriend sitting next to her.
“You’re clothes are thin too,” Ai sighed. “Maybe we should just go home…”
“No, stay a little longer,” Risa insisted. “I… I need to… tell you something…”
“What is it?”
“… I need you to…”
“… Risa, you can tell me anything you want,” Ai encouraged. She smiled sadly, knowing what was to come. She was thankful that her younger girlfriend was not looking up to witness her miserable expression.
“Ai…” Risa choked out, breathing slowly to calm herself, “I want you to break up with me.”
“… and why should I do such a thing?”
“Because I don’t have the right to leave you like this!” the younger girl yelled. “And… you don’t deserve to be dumped.”
“Why are you saying this so suddenly, Risa?” Ai said in a low voice, already knowing the answer.
“Because someone else needs me more than you do,” Risa mumbled. She could feel the tears jerking out again but she bit down on her lips to stop herself. She knew she didn’t deserve to cry.
“… You’re being quite cruel right now, Risa,” Ai said bitterly.
“I know I am,” the bean said, choking on her words. “I know I’m hurting you by doing this—”
“That’s not why,” the idol cut in. “First of all, you’re asking me to break up with you because I don’t deserve to be dumped. Is that really why you’re giving me the chance to be the dumper? … Or is it because you don’t have the courage to leave me so you’re making me do it?”
The younger girl looked up in shock. Ai was looking straight forward, her lips pursed tightly while revealing no specific emotion. Had her words really come off that way? Was Risa really asking Ai to initiate the split-up because she wasn’t brave enough to leave her love behind?
“Second of all,” the singer continued. “You say we need to break up because there is someone who needs you more than I do. How do you know that? Do you have any idea how much I…”
The older girl turned her head to meet her girlfriend’s wide eyes. Ai’s lips were quivering a little while she gazed desperately at the younger girl. Her emotions were completely revealed for the bean to read now; she was in pain.
“I’m sorry,” the singer said quietly, looking away. “I’m being very immature right now. Forget what I said.”
“No, you’re right,” Risa said, placing her hands on top of the idol’s which caused her to turn around. “I… I’m scared to leave you. I would want nothing more than to stay by your side forever. And I need you as much as you need me.”
“But…?”
“… But I can’t.” Junjun’s cries echoed in the younger girl’s head once more. Her tears, her pain… which led back to her own guilt.
“As much as I want to do whatever you tell me to do,” the singer sighed, “I don’t think I can get myself to break up with you. So how about we call it a mutual thing?”
“Ai…”
“I will respect whatever choice you’re making,” the leader continued. “And even if we’re not in a relationship, I’ll always be here for you. Whenever you need a shoulder to lean on, or just a friend, you can come to me anytime.”
The older girl smiled at the bean; but Risa could tell that something was off. Although Ai’s lips were curved up, her eyes were filled with distress and pain.
“Stop that…” the younger girl whispered hoarsely.
“Stop what?”
“Stop being so nice to me!” Risa yelled, the tears finally bursting out. “I don’t deserve your kindness; I never did and I never will! So stop forcing yourself for me…”
“You think I’m forcing myself?” Ai questioned. “I’m really not kind at all, Risa. If you knew what I was thinking right now…” The singer closed her eyes for a mere second, but thousands of ideas flashed through her mind: love towards Risa, hate towards Sayumi, resent towards Junjun, and the pain at her heart…
“I never should’ve involved myself in your life,” the bean sobbed. “I never deserved such a big place in your heart.”
“Don’t say that,” Ai whispered. “These past weeks and days have been the most wonderful time of my entire life. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
“… I’m so sorry…”
“Shh. Don’t say anything anymore.” The leader cupped the younger girl’s face gently and lifted it to meet her eyes. “Before we officially split… may I ask for one last parting gift?”
“I’m so sorry…” Risa mumbled as she nodded, clenching her teeth.
The singer smiled sadly as she leaned in closer. She pressed her lips as gently as possible against the bean’s pursed lips. Risa started to loosen up, little by little, as they slowly moved against each other. They both wanted to savor this last kiss; the warmth, the softness, the gentleness… Ai sighed one last time before backing away.
“That’ll be enough to keep me going for a while,” she whispered.
The leader stood up from the bench, followed by the younger girl. Her smile did not fade away as she faced the girl she was still in love with.
“If you truly made the right choice, Risa,” she said, “I don’t want to see you cry like this after we part. Whenever I see you at work, I expect you to be in your most energetic state, understand?”
Risa nodded wordlessly. Ai smiled and gently stroked the younger girl’s cheek one last time.
“Good-bye, my love,” she whispered. “Be happy.”
Without waiting for a response, the singer turned around and walked away from the younger girl. Risa watched her exit the park and turn the corner, disappearing from her sight. She stared at the empty spot for a little while before slowly starting to leave the park herself.
She went through the gates and turned into the street. She walked around aimlessly as the cold air dried her tears. She soon arrived at the shopping district where little stores were lined up, side by side. Distant memories of her now previous lover flashed through her mind; her confession, her voice, her smile, her kiss, her touch…
“
This is my responsibility,” she thought monotonously. “
I just hurt two of my most important people in the world… I will not ask to be forgiven.”
When she finally looked up to analyze her surroundings, Risa realized that she was in front of a hair salon. A different voice zoomed through her mind… something that Eri had told her back in their teenage years…
They say when you break up with someone, you’re supposed to cut your hair. It symbolizes change and future hope… Something inside Risa’s chest burned. She knew she didn’t deserve happiness, yet Ai had asked her to be happy. She knew she didn’t deserve forgiveness but Ai had already forgiven her. Even though she couldn’t expect a bright future… there was still the faintest wish for a little bit of light. As much as she knew she wasn’t worthy of such a thing, Risa wanted that change; she wanted that future hope.
The brown-haired girl swallowed as she clenched her fists tightly. She then walked up the small steps and pushed through the salon doors.
