Chapter 69 “Good morning, everyone!” Eri exclaimed, skipping into the meeting room with Reina right behind her.
“Good morning to you too, Kamei-san,” Tsunku laughed. “Did something good happen?”
“Something
very good happened,” Eri giggled, glancing at her girlfriend who was trying to seem indifferent. “But it’s a secret.”
“You can’t even tell me?” asked Risa, who was already sitting in her seat with Ai across from her. “I thought I was your best friend!”
“I’ll tell you later,” Eri smiled. “But for now, we have a meeting to go through, don’t we, Tsunku-san?”
“Yes we do, please leave personal conversations out of this room, Niigaki-san,” Tsunku grinned.
“Sorry…” Risa mumbled. Ai laughed under her breath while Reina smirked.
“So, let’s start off by congratulating High-Queen for topping the charts again with ‘Cinderella Complex’,” Tsunku announced. “Good work, girls.”
“Arigatou gozaimasu,” the singers said in unison.
“So before we start planning out the next single,” Tsunku continued, “I decided to give you girls a vacation.”
The room fell silent. Eri gasped excitedly while her friend nodded approvingly. But Ai and Reina scowled.
“We’re not buying that, Tsunku-san,” Ai muttered. “Last time you said we were going on a vacation, you sent us out to Hokkaido for a PB. We didn’t even have time to enjoy ourselves.”
“Well, it’s for a PB this time too…” Tsunku mumbled.
“Annoying old man,” Reina grumbled under her breath.
“But I’m sending you girls to Hawaii this time,” the producer announced brightly. “You’re leaving in one week, and you’ll be staying for three days, so you girls will definitely have time to enjoy yourselves this time.”
“How many staff members?” Reina questioned.
“Couple cameramen, make-up artist, fashion coordinator...” Tsunku pointed at Eri when he said the last staff title. “The usual bunch.” Reina leaned back into her chair, satisfied with the subtle mentioning of her girlfriend.
“What about Risa?” Ai said in a low voice. “She’s not going?”
“I don’t have a reason to go, Ai,” Risa whispered.
“I’m not leaving any of my friends behind,” Ai said, giving a determined look to her producer. “I’ll pay for Risa’s expense, if I have to.”
“No, Ai,” Risa said through her teeth.
“You
don’t have to, Takahashi,” Tsunku grinned. “I believe Niigaki-san deserves a lot of credit for High-Queen’s recent success; she’s going to go with you.”
“Really?” Risa asked, her eyes widening. “I’m going to Hawaii?”
“Of course you should be going to Hawaii,” Tsunku chuckled. “You deserve it. But I would like it if you think of this as your raise.”
“I’ll take it!” the bean yelled happily.
“Good,” Tsunku grinned. He checked his watch and started to walk out of the room. “I have a different business to attend to now. Meeting over.”
“That’s great, Risa-chan!” Eri squealed. “We’re all going to Hawaii together; it’ll be so much fun!”
“I’m sure it will be,” Risa laughed. “But before that, why don’t you tell me the reason you’re so happy today, hm?”
“Yeah, Eri, why don’t you tell her?” Ai smirked. Eri blushed and looked away to the side.
“Ai, can I talk to you for a moment?” Reina growled.
“Fine,” Ai laughed. “We’ll be waiting outside.”
The two idols walked out of the room and closed the door behind. Reina whipped around and glared at her leader.
“You will
not tease Eri about this,” the yankii growled. “It was her first; give her a break.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Ai said innocently. “Why would I tease Eri? Could it be… you two did something… inappropriate?” She made an over-exaggerated gasp.
“Drop the act, Ai,” Reina rolled her eyes. “You know what happened last night between me and Eri; you’re not stupid.”
“No, I’m not,” Ai laughed. A devilish grin appeared on her face. “So how was it? Did she like it? Did her skin feel smooth and soft~?”
“Don’t talk about my girlfriend like that!” Reina yelled, lightly punching her leader on her shoulders. “Besides, you and Gaki aren’t so far off on that topic either.”
“We’re almost there, I guess,” Ai sighed. “Self-control is just so hard sometimes.”
“I know what you mean,” the yankii grinned. “Lucky I don’t have to hold back anymore.”
“Sometimes, I just want to do it right then and there,” Ai said. “But I want her to be prepared as well…” She paused, then smiled. “But it seems like your lover might be educating my girl about this topic a little. Maybe that’ll convince her…?”
“Well…” Reina hesitated, staring down at the floor, “Eri did seem pretty satisfied… she was happy, I think.”
“Aw, how cute, Reina~” Ai teased.
“Shut up,” the yankii mumbled.
“Well,” the leader laughed, “if Eri can help Risa relax a little, maybe we can get to that level soon…”

“You
what?” Risa yelled, her face turning red. “You… and… Reina… had… that… last night?”
“You know, ‘sex’ isn’t a bad word, Risa-chan,” Eri giggled.
“Wow,” Risa breathed. “You guys went that far already?”
“Because I feel like Reina-chan really is the one, you know?” Eri sighed contently, a big smile on her face. “I don’t regret giving myself to her at all.”
“Wow…” Risa breathed again.
“You and Ai are also along that stage, aren’t you?” Eri questioned.
“… We’re almost there…” the bean mumbled. “Kameha, can I ask you something?”
“What is it?”
“Did it… did it hurt?”
“It hurt a
lot. It was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced.”
“Oh, that makes me feel better,” Risa squeaked.
“Well, it only hurt at first,” Eri laughed. “You get used to it. Then it starts to feel really good, and then you can’t help but start crying out—”
“I don’t need details!” Risa complained. “It’s just… I love Ai and I really do want to give her my all but… I’m scared.”
“I was scared too,” Eri whispered, taking a more serious tone of voice. “But I knew Reina-chan wouldn’t do anything to hurt me; she loves me too much. And Ai loves you too, so I’m sure she’ll be gentle with you.”
“I guess… I do trust her…”
“And the perfect chance for you and Ai to take the next step is coming up!” Eri grinned. “I think Hawaii is a pretty romantic location, don’t you?”
“Next week?” Risa said, her eyes widening in shock. “But, but I’m not ready! It’s too soon, I think, I—”
“Risa-chan, if you put it off any longer, you’ll never get to it,” Eri said firmly. “You and Ai love each other, probably more than heaven and earth itself. You’re ready and Ai is
definitely ready, I think.”
“… I guess you’re right,” Risa answered. She clenched her fists. “
Okay! I’m going to do it; I’ll let Ai make me hers when we go to Hawaii… If I truly love her, I shouldn’t be scared.”
