Same thing happened to me in Oblivion Shirenu. Got vampirism somehow, I looked up the elaborate cure and went through all the steps only to find out the weird look is permanent. Had to start over again cause I just couldn't stand it. X_X

I googled and apparently if you load an older save pre-vampirism and then load your vampire game you can at least get rid of the weird face for each session. I haven't tested if I can make it last if my girl is cured and thus, shouldn't have the male vampire face loaded for her anymore. But I found a cheat for adding the potion to my inventory, tested it last night and it worked; but it was bed time so I didn't try messing with the save thing yet. HOPEFULLY I STILL HAVE SOME OLD SAVES LEFT LOL.

I'll let you know if it worked >o<

If I can't fix my character's face, I'm afraid that's it for me with this game lol, I don't love it enough to not be bothered by her changed face and don't feel like starting all over and having to avoid vampire places. (If anything, I now want to pay revenge to vampires for causing me all this trouble!!)

I DID get my lovely lady's face back!!!

Oblivion, curing vampirism~

What I did was...
Open the command window with the button under ESC (it's supposed to be ~ on some keyboards, but for me it's §½)
Write in player.additem 977E4 1 (note that pasting most likely won't work so write it on a piece of paper if you can't remember it)
Now you should have the vampire cure potion in your inventory.
Drink the potion and save.
Load a game from before you turned into a vampire - or a save from another character, I heard that works as well but I didn't test that.
Then load your cured character, and save. His or her old face should be back. And it should stay, like mine did! ^___^

So after a long haul in a dungeon, I emerge on the other side. A door with a bar across is blocking the way so I unlock it, open the door and reveal that the door is built into a mountain face. It's midnight when I emerge with a full moon right in front of me and just sweeping across my view, a hawk flies by. Stunning scene, I watched that hawk fly for a while. That is, until I decided to see if I can shoot it down with my bow. So in the dead of night, and the only thing remotely interesting I can do with a bow is to zoom in with it, I notched an arrow, the first of many I assumed, held aim for a while and let fly....

....And I got the fucker in one shot! I was hop skipping all the way down the cliff face as I saw it plummet down. I got down to the ground and did a little victory dance over it. Then I saw Lydia, in her infinite wisdom, decided to follow me, but all that heavy armor must have affected her descent as she was already dead by the time she hit the ground. *sigh*

Another funny glitch happened earlier when I killed a Silver Hand and his body was litterally spinning out of control, up, down and all around. Tried to follow it but it was going so fast and into the woods before I could catch up.

Wait....dragons can talk to you now? :o

Also unlocked a new dragon shout and used it in a city to try it out, only to have a guard run up to me and tell me to stop shouting in the city as it's making people nervous. He was very mean though, it hurt Timeon Waters feelings.  :(

Know what else is weird? I've put in over 80hrs now into Skyrim, and there are still 4 major cities I haven't explored through yet. Think I'll go to Windhelm next. It's the closest to the mission I was just on and I believe the Imperial/Stormcloak quests are kicked off from there?

I've collected many gems on my travels! Flawless garnets, rubies and emeralds that would be befitting of a lady of your stature!

Would those be Rhaegar's rubies, Ser? I'll be sure to let my sister know they have already been found, so she can stop playing in the mud looking for them!

I killed my first giant and mammoth today!

I was walking along a path and saw a giant camp in the distance so I thought why not?! To my luck, I saw only one giant and one mammoth there, and the giant had strayed from it so I took my chances. After all, I had Lydia with me and Unrelenting Force at full power, so the strategy was to test out my new weapon, 'Oathkeeper' (which I thought was a pretty cool name for an Ebony Bow with the soul trap enchantment) and keep him at distance as I was on elevated ground, using Unrelenting Force if he was getting too close. And I did it! Mammoth soon followed. They ain't got shit on me now!

The new 1.5 patch is out now for console and PC btw. The ranged and magic killcams are pretty sweet.

^ I would love to see the new kill cams. Don't have the game now (been over a month since I last played) but I'm thinking of getting my own copy.

I've been thinking about the games' weapons a lot lately, and decided to share my favorite.

The Ebony Sword. This is my baby. This is my "master sword." Beautifully crafted, isn't it? I didn't acquire it till later in my journey, though I believe I had come across it before when I faced a boss Draugr. I guess the fact that I discovered mine in a tightly locked chest made the weapon appeal more to me. As though I removed Excalibur from the stone.

Before the Ebony Sword I was rocking the Blade of Woe. I think it fit my character's image more; bandit/thief Nord.
And before the Woe, I rocked two maces. Now that I think about it, my guy looked a bit ridiculous with them. When I first started playing, I knew I wanted my character to be a sword guy, but a mace was the first weapon I came across, and I just went with it.

Annoying glitch time. Aela is stuck as a follower. I couldn't get rid of her nor could I finish the quest that I began with her. I know why it happened, but sucks that I really can't do anything about it. Just gotta wait for a patch (if they ever decide to fix the problem). I guess the one cool thing about her following me 24/7 is that I have guaranteed protection. Also, she carries a torch during the night/in dark places. How cool is that? Being accompanied by a friend/bodyguard that's raising a torch by your side.  I felt like royalty.

Hell yeh the Ebony Sword is a beautiful weapon. I have the Mace of Molag Bal, which by definition is my best weapon, but like you mode, I am a sword guy, and the Ebony Sword just looks so cool. Plus, when you have it enchanted with a Paralysis effect, you have a pretty powerful weapon indeed. All of the Ebony weapons/armor sets look gorgeous. The mace, the warhammer and now using the bow. Shame it's a Heavy Armor type, as my guy is Light Armor focused, but I did pick up a full set which I have Lydia wear instead.

I used my trusty Wuuthrad for a long time. But eventually I found Volendrung. For the rest of the game nothing else ever matched it's awesomeness. Plus people on the streets tell you how awesome your hammer is. XD

Of course being a sneaky sneaky type my beastly Ebony bow with over 200 damage plus frost damage and stamina absorb was my go too.  ;)

For armor nothing beats Nightingale. I mean it's got a freaking cape so it makes me feel like Batman roaming skyrim (I had to substitute Captain Valmir's bear head helmet thing). That along with enchanted dragonscale gauntlets and boots was SWEET.

Skyrim gets Kinect support in the next update. No, you won't be waving your arms about casting magic or dual wielding, rather the microphone interprets voice commands as seen in the trailer.

Gotta admit, being able to actually shout FUS RO DAH and work is pretty cool.

Had another great experience earlier which I should share. Myself and Lydia climbed up a mountain only to find an Elder Dragon guarding a dragon wall. Tried a bunch of times to scrape a victory, trying to hide and pop shots out but it wasn't working. At one point I was hiding in a shack and the dragon got close enough to actually eat me through the shack which was funny. So I thought about getting more reinforcements nearby, but the closest majory city was Whiterun, quite some distance away. But I asked Lydia to stay in the mine we came out of, and I got the dragon to follow me. Once I descended down the mountain, I legged it towards Whiterun, in a Pheidippides-esque feat of endurance.

Along the way I found a mammoth in the field so I hung around hoping the dragon would aggravate him. Turns out it just stood there and took the dragon fire. So I ignored it, and eventually made it to Whiterun where some guards came and helped out. Felt kind of bad that I just arrived at their front door with a dragon at my back, but not for long  Anyway, me and my guard homies were attacking it when the dragon just kinda, flew away back where I came. So I followed it, went over the hill and know what I saw? The mammoth had followed me and the dragon was attacking it! Managed to kill the dragon in the end, now there's just a dragon skeleton humping the Whiterun bridge.
