rofl do it Boss. Cowboys stadium is a dump, I wouldn't pick that one.

I think Yankees are gonna stay on top of Boston, but Boston has a good chance to regain it with the 5 game homestand vs the bombers.

Hmm...maybe, but I'll be tuning into Fox this weekend. DING! Johnny Damon just blasted a 3 run shot.

How about the Angels-Rangers getting mass suspensions

Got up late this morning and turned on the Yanks-Sox game in the 7th inning.

Boston just left a couple men on.  The Bombers may not need Mo after all.

If Sox lose this first game, the pressure is on to sweep the remaining four.

Are you a Bonds supporter Kulkulkan? XD

Bernie Williams gets the shit rolling with a solo blast! 3-0 Yanks leading :o

WHOA 7 run 7th inning last nite. Fucking longest 9 inning game evar.  Say what you will about this rivalry hype (WTF Fox with the 20 min pregame babble) injured players, players defected, etc. - Red Sox-Yanks is hella fun to watch.

And here's one for Foxy: Wang not ordinary

Mark my words: Wang won't last five years in the majors if he doesn't get his strikeouts-per-inning ratio up to 5.0.  All those groundballs will dribble past Jeter eventually (Jeter's an overrated fielder, too).

Just turned on the Yanks-Sox game on Fox.  What a disaster for Boston.  Yankee fans must be getting their gloat on at the moment.

 Kindof-sortof.

He's really sort of a distraction, the Giants have to learn to survive without him.  I don't think that he'll be back next year, nor will Felipe as manager.  There is a lot of talent like Omar Vizquel which I would like to see retained.  Really, I'm happy as long as they beat LA.

I know. WTF?? 6 1/2 game lead now...that's nuts. Jeter might as well get the MVP for his 10 HRs. Everyone was lighting it up but pitching, eh...Wang was struggling too.

On the other side, damn - I was wondering if the Mets could cruise into September but with Pedro and Glavine (numb finger?) going out....

What's been happening?? The race for the Wild Card spots are heating up!! Blue Jays (Ted Lily and John Gibbons fight) and Red Sox (Big Papi hospitalized, official scorer rants) self destructing. We got Yankees Wang handcuffing the Tigers!

Last nite's Vladdy Guerrero taking out Rafael Soriano with a line drive was brutal. Watch here: :O

Glad he's okay and outta the hospital...

As reported on ESPN.com (emphasis mine):

Cubs catcher Michael Barrett was placed on the 15-day DL Sunday after undergoing surgery Saturday night for bleeding in his scrotum. He was injured by a foul tip in Saturday's game.

Marlins rookie throws first no-hitter in two years
« Reply #399 on: September 07, 2006, 08:33:30 AM »

A 22-year-old rookie for the Florida Marlins named Anibal Sanchez pitched the first no-hit, no-run game in the major leagues in more than two years on Wednesday night, shutting down the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-0.

The surprise Marlins, dismissed at the beginning of the season with a team full of rookies (including its manager), are now tied for SECOND place in the N.L. Wild Card standings.  What a STORY this would be if the team even made it close to the post-season.  And what a wonderful thing for the fans in Miami and South Florida.

From the AP wire story: Announced attendance was 12,561, but the actual crowd was perhaps half that. The surprising Marlins are last in the major leagues in attendance even though are three games behind San Diego in the NL wild-card standings. (emphasis mine)

What a disgrace.
