It's cool, and it looks like they worked hard on it. In terms of editing and effects, it probably has some of the best. That said, I thought it was over the top

There were too many things going on for a song that's relatively slow.

So, what did you think of the novels? The anime seems to have captured the characters quite well. I'm up to book 6 (The Wavering(?) of Haruhi Suzumiya). At this pace, I wonder if Kyon will make it to graduation

I'm slow, so I've only read to book 3 or 4 since about the time the anime was still airing

. It's a fun read though. The anime is a really great adaptation of the novels. The non-linear retelling of it made it a very different experience with a different direction on focus, with modern twists and references.

I'm reading the Chinese translation that I rented.
I have to return it by Friday
If I can get a soft copy, I might start a translation, but it will be slow tho.
