Chapter Three - Encounters

“Good morning!” said Yuko energetically to the staffs as she walked toward the changing room. She was assigned to be acting in Haruna’s new single PV, starting today. After the blooming of her first drama "Ikemen desu ne", now she is releasing her new single. Takamina’s latest single “Jane Doe” was a great success. She managed to claim the top first place of various charts and stayed for whole eight weeks. The members were grateful and now is the chance for Haruna to have her new single, which is written by no other but her girlfriend herself, Takahashi Minami.
The naughty squirrel sneaked into the changing room to see a daydreaming Haruna. She walked slowly behind Haruna and placed her palms over Haruna’s eyes, “Guess, who is it~?”
Haruna jolted by surprise and pouted, “Stop doing childish thing, Yuu-chan.”
“You don’t like?” Yuko removed her hands and sat next to Haruna, she smiled brightly at the airhead singer, “Me like being childish~~” Haruna slightly hit Yuko’s head.
“Kojima-san, Oshima-san, be ready, we gotta start shooting in 10 minutes” said the staff.
“Hai!!” Yuko answered the staff and bowed slightly. “Me go change first” she picked up her bag and winked at Haruna, “You can take a peek if you want~”
“No one is interested to see you changing.” Haruna stood up from her seat and walked out of the room.
“So fun teasing her.” Yuko hummed a song , while changing.

They’re all gathered under a big sakura tree. The director was explaining the story and what’s their position and how Yuko and Haruna are going to interact with each other. In the story, Yuko will take the role as Haruna’s bestfriend. The scene will show them being together, laughing, chatting, studying, cheating in exam, getting scolded by teachers, running all the way home, lying on the grassland with the wind blowing gently on their skin and how they enjoy the smile of each other.
Yuko was playfully taking the act and sometimes, intentionally made a mistake and trolled on Haruna. The staffs also enjoyed the cheerful side of Yuko and the moment Haruna got mad and almost high-kicked Yuko. Although Yuko got slapped on the head several times, she kinda of enjoyed it.
“Let’s take a 30 minute break!” said the director.
Haruna and Yuko, accompanied by their manager and other staff, took a rest right aside of the shooting area. They sat on two chairs and hid under a big umbrella. Their manager brought them towels and cold drinks, also some snacks. Yuko took the drink and then opened the potato chips. She glanced at Haruna, the girl has her eyes closed, while sitting silently, it seems like she is taking a nap.
“Nyaan nyaan, want some?” Yuko offered the snacks. Haruna simply shook her head. Yuko felt annoyed because Haruna is ignoring her, she moved her chair closer. She was intentionally crunching the chips with hard sounds and drank her beverage with rude attitude. Haruna started to get infected by Yuko’s behavior and glared at her.
“Want some?” asked Yuko innocently.
Haruna sighed as she knew Yuko will not stop doing that if she didn’t take a piece of the chips. She opened her palm, asking for some. Yuko grinned and put all the remaining potato chips into her mouth at once. Now, her mouth full of the chips and she really looked like a squirrel hiding her food inside mouth.
“Uone (gone).” Yuko said with full mouth, she looked away and slowly crunched the chips. Haruna smiled when she saw the puffed face of Yuko.
“Be prepare, we are gonna start soon.” one of the staff was reminding all members.
Haruna got up from her chair and walked behind Yuko, mischievously slapped the back of Yuko’s head so hard that caused Yuko to chock on the chips inside her mouth and started to cough hard.
“Yuko, are you okay?” Haruna pretended to care and grabbed Yuko’s drink. She intentionally shoved it in Yuko’s mouth, “Drink it, will feel better.” Haruna forcefully poured the drink into Yuko’s throat and Yuko had no choice but to swallow the drink.
“Are you okay now?” Haruna clapped her hands together and put back her cute face.
Yuko let out a long breath and rubbed her stomach, “FULL!” she yelled.
“Pfffttt” Haruna tried to hold her laugh and smacked Yuko’s head, “Try to disturb me again, and… I’m gonna do something worse than this” Haruna gave a threat with smiling face.
“Huh?” Yuko pretended to not understand, “I wanna see a scary Haruna.. hehe..” Yuko grinned, widely.
“I wonder how can you put that cheerful face everyday. Your schedule is almost as full as Atsuko’s, sometimes you need to work ‘till 4 am”
“Because I am Yuko!!”
“Child…” Haruna offered her hand to Yuko, “Let’s get ready.”
“Hai!!” Yuko held Haruna’s hand and they walked together to shoot the next scene.

Minami was done writing her new song, stretched her arms and yawned from sleepiness. She looked at her watch, indicating it was 8 p.m. “Haruna is almost done with the shooting, I guess.” She took her phone out and dialed Haruna’s number. The phone ringed for a while before Haruna picked up.
“Haruna?”
[Yes, speaking.]
“Umm… are you done with today’s shooting?”
[Yes, it ended just now.]
“Where are you right now? I’ll come pick you up.”
[Ah.. I’m with Yuko right now. We’ll go back together, no need to worry about me. Work hard on your new song.]
“Okay then, if you say so. Come back soon, I miss you.”
[Miss you too.]
The conversation ended but both of them haven’t hung up the phone. They’re waiting for the other to hang up the phone first. Waiting and waiting, both of them suddenly laughed.
“You’re not gonna hang up the phone?” asked Minami.
[You first.]
“You first.”
[Okay then, see you at home, Takamina.]
“Come back soon.” after Minami answered, Haruna hunged the phone up.
“Let’s get something to drink.” Minami got up and walked out of her room. She went downstairs, on her way to the kitchen. In the middle of the way, she heard someone play the piano, but the melody was missing something. She made her way towards the studio. She found Tomochin, trying to compose her new song. “Need some help?”
“Takamina!” Tomochin was happy to see Takamina come to help.
“You’re working on your new song too?” asked Takamina as she walked in.
“Yes, I kinda messed up the melody” Tomochin stuck out her tongue.
“Let me try” Minami took a sit next to Tomochin and took a look at the piano chord chart. She kept reading for a while and staeared at a particular note. “You need to change the key a bit lower here.” Minami snatched the pen from Tomochin’s hand and refined the note on the chart.
After some minutes, Minami played the melody and stopped and played again and finally got the harmonious melody. The melody seemed to like dance in the air within Minami’s touch. She is really good at playing the piano. Meanwhile, Tomochin can’t keep her eyes of Minami, the serious look on Minami’s face while she’s playing the piano is so sexy and cool. She moved closer and closer to Minami. In the distance, Minami can feel Tomochin’s breath.
“Too close.” Minami stopped playing and turned her head to look at Tomochin. Their nose were almost touching but Tomochin stayed still, not moving a bit.
“It’s not like we’ve never been this close before.” Tomochin smirked.
“I have a girlfriend now.”
“She’s so lucky to have you.”
“Minami…” suddenly, Haruna’s voice appeared out of nowhere.
Minami and Tomochin turned to look at the entrance and saw Haruna was standing there with shock written all over her face. Her eyes were red and her face was obviously showing anger.
“Haruna, it’s not what you see…” Minami tried to explain but Haruna closed the door and ran away.
“Haruna!!” Minami got up and chased after Haruna.
“Ooppss, looks like I created a problem” Tomochin scratched her neck, “Good luck, Takamina.”

“Haruna!!” Minami knocked on the door repeatedly, but no answer was coming out. She sighed and sat down on the floor with her back leaning against the door, “Please, let me explain. Please hear my explanation.”
Atsuko walked by and saw a rather desperate Minami. She decided to stop by, but doubted to ask what happened. Minami raised her head and saw Atsuko looking at her, eyes met eyes. Both of them don’t know what they should do neither what they should say. This awkward silence stayed, until Minami decided to be the first to speak.
“Something happened, she misunderstood me…” explained Minami.
“I see…” answered Atsuko.
The conversation ended and both of them stayed in silence again. Atsuko has no intention to walk away and Minami has no intention to move. Again, Minami tried to break the silent moment.
“Going to sleep?” asked Minami.
“No, I’m going to take a shower.” Atsuko answered.
“Have a nice shower.” Minami replied. Atsuko nodded and walked away. Minami smiled a bit, remembering how awkward they were just now. Atsuko is such a cute girl, but things were a bit weird on herself too. Why did she explain to Atsuko? And something felt really weird.
Suddenly the door opened, which made Minami fall back on the ground. Haruna’s face appeared in front of her, still angry. She threw a small package on Minami’s face, “I bought that to eat together with you, but what are you doing there? Are you always doing that when I’m not home?”
Minami immediately got up to explain, but Haruna didn’t give her a chance. She hurriedly closed the door. “Ouchh!!! My hand!!” Minami put her hand between the door and pretended to get smashed by the door.
Haruna immediately pulled the door and Minami took this chance to sneak into the room. Without giving Haruna time to think, she grabbed Haruna’s hand with her left, while her right hand closed the door. Minami pushed Haruna againts the door and leaned forward to kiss her. Not giving Haruna a chance to push her away, she deepened the kiss. When she felt Haruna stopped pushing her away, the kiss became slow and gentle. Minami pulled away and her eyes kept looking at Haruna.
“Please let me explain. It’s not what you think.”
“What if I don’t want to hear it”
Minami rubbed her neck and pretended to be think something. She looked up and smirked, “Want me to kiss you again?”
Haruna stayed silent and looked away, “I don’t want your kiss.”
“But I want yours.”
