Third Person POV
Yuki sat alone in her study, staring out the window as she watched the clouds glide across the sky past the full moon. She suddenly heard a loud howl, and clicked her tongue in frustration.
“Damn werewolves… filthy creatures…”
“My, my. I wonder what could’ve caused that.” She heard a familiar voice come from behind and saw a certain, strawberry voiced girl standing by her bed side.
“Tomomi?”
“I could hear that all the way from here,” another voice called out. A young girl with black hair stood by Yuki’s side at the window. “It came all the way from the Miyazawa household.”
“M-Mocchi… Is that true?”
“Ufufu, that look on your face is so adorable. Could it be that you’re jealous?” Tomomi giggled. “That wolf could be a number on your precious Sae-boy right now.”
“Sae’s not a boy, or my lover.”
Tomomi giggled, letting out a small, “Chiyuu~”, as she walked up and rested her hands on the window.
“So, what’s is she?”
“She was nothing but a mere puppet. It was fun at first, but I got bored.”
Mocchi hugged her from behind and nibbled at her ear. “I’m surprised someone like you would deny a puppet praising you. She must’ve loved you with all her heart.”
Yuki pushed her off her ear and sneered.
“Sure, but she had family members that really pissed me off, too.”
“Like whom?”
“Two younger sisters; one by blood and one adopted.” Her eyes narrowed as the visions of the two remained in her head. “The blood sister was very ill-tempered. She really hated me, y’know? I can tell even if she doesn’t show emotion.”
“And who’s her adopted sister?”
“Ever heard the legend of the vampire that fell in love with a human?”
The two nodded.
“She’s her. The former heir of the Matsui clan’s throne.”
“Eh~? A Matsui, huh?”
“Don’t you two have something better to do than harass me?” Yuki asked, wanting to be alone.
The two girls shrugged and decided to leave.
Yuki, still curious about what they said, called for her glittering butterfly companion and sent her off. After flying for about a good hour, it arrived at Sae’s mansion and flew in the window to her room.
Yuki looked at her crystal ball and saw Sae caring for another girl she’s never seen before.
“A human?”
She saw Sae’s face turn slightly red. And saw how she held her chest. Something inside Yuki ached and she banged the table.
‘What vampire would care for a human like that?’ she thought as she saw Sae laying next to her in the bed and caress her hair.
She then snapped her fingers.
The butterfly flew up and circled on top of the boyish vampire girl, sprinkling the magic dust on her.
Sae’s head became light and clouded with a thick fog that couldn’t process her thoughts. She yawned and closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep.
‘Let’s see who you dream of, Sae-chan.’ Yuki thought to herself, expecting it to be a dream of her and Sae.
Sae’s Pov
“I knew you’d come back to me, Sae-chan.” Yuki’s voice floated into my ears, as I felt her arms wrap around me, her head resting on my shoulder. “I know you can’t resist my touch.” She purred into my ear. Her hands that were once on my waist traveled up to my toned stomach.
“Turn around for me.” She instructed. I did as she said, and not a second later her lips were on mine. Always dominating in the kisses, until she allows me to take over. I opened my eyes to see if her eyes were closed, they were, but it wasn’t Yukirin I was kissing….It was Sayaka!
“Sae…” She moaned my name, as she pulled away from my lips, a shy on her face.
She looks so cute.
But then she morphed back into Yuki, then Sayaka again, the process kept continuing, until it stopped halfway. Half Sayaka and half Yuki.
“Sae/Sae-chan, who’s in your heart?” Both of their voices blended in with each other.
I backed away in shock, unsure of who I was supposed to say.
“I-I…”
“Sae/Sae-chan...” her hand reached up and held my cheek, looking deep into my eyes. “I love you.”
I jolted up from the bed from that strange dream I just had. I held my head, it was still pounding from all the confusion and chaos.
‘Oh God… What is wrong with me?’
I was interrupted from my thoughts when I heard soft moaning. I looked down and saw Sayaka fast asleep on my lap.
‘She… moans in her sleep? ...Or, maybe she’s just a strong breather. Either way, that’s kinda…. ..different.’
I slowly got up, replacing a soft pillow for my lap and decided to head up to the roof of the mansion to try and clear my head.
I stared up at the moon, trying to process what’s been going on.
‘Half Sayaka, half Yuki…’
What does that mean? I… I hate Yuki. I’ve hated he ever since that day. And Sayaka… she’s a werewolf. I’m just trying to help her.
…..
But… then I thought of something I never had before… I didn’t even think to consider their feelings.
Yuki, well, I know she hates me with all her heart. She’s just toying with me again…
But, Sayaka… There is a BIG chance Sayaka could be in love with me. But, that could also all change when she gets her memories back.
As I thought about it, I felt my eyes grow heavy again and I fell asleep once more.
However, this time instead of a sweet dream, I had a nightmare. I saw Sayaka chained to a wall, being tortured by Yuki. She kept beating her until she finally lost it and her eyes glowed red, releasing a large howl.
I tried to stop her, but there was some kind of wall between me and the current scene I was witnessing. Neither of them could hear me, but I thought for a moment, Sayaka looked at me and was crying, yelling for me to help, but continued being tortured. I kept pounding on the glass-like wall, trying to break through to save her.
I finally caused it to crack and was able to break through. I rushed over to Sayaka’s side and was about to protect her, when….
….Well, nothing happened.
Yuki was gone and Sayaka sat there with her head low.
“Sayaka..?”
Her head slowly raised up and she looked at me. Her eyes were burning red, filled with darkness and hate. A low growl could be heard.
She broke off her chains and pinned me to the wall, strangling my neck. I tried calling for her, but it was useless.She was lost in all that pain, that anger, that darkness clouding her mind and leaving only her killing instinct.
“S-s-s-sa… yaka… N-n-no…”
As my vision was fading, I could’ve sworn I saw Yuki’s figure in the back, smiling as she saw me die. Also, I thought I saw strings tied to Sayaka’s wrists, like she was a puppet.
‘No….. No…!’
“No!”
I opened my eyes and saw the burning sunlight penetrating my eyes. I covered my eyes quickly and sat up on the roof. I must’ve fallen asleep.
I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms. I couldn’t sleep at all, what between Sayaka’s chaotic behaviour, and all these weird dreams.
I felt a tap of my shoulder and saw Jurina standing behind me.
“Jurina? What are you doing here?” I said, trying to hide my frustration. I’m ruining my own cold reputation.
“I came to check on you. What happened? You were up here all night.”
“I just needed some time to think alone.”
She chuckled. “Well, you better head back down, and quick.”
“Wha-? Why?”
“Cuz Sayaka’s having a panic attack.”
“WHAT?!” I suddenly rushed down and found my bed was completely empty. I ran all over the house looking for her, then I heard something coming from down the hall.
“Sae!!! Sae!!!”
‘Is that Sayaka? She’s looking for me?’
I rushed over and saw Sayaka shaking Yuko like mad, who was holding some leftover steak in her hand.
“Sae~~!!!”
“Sayaka-chan, please calm down~! I’ll give you half my steak, but stop!”
“SAAAAEEEE!!!!”
“Sayaka?” She looked over and saw me, and looked back and forth from me and the steak. She grabbed the steak from Yuko’s hands and ran up to hug me.
“Sae~~~!” She hugged me tight, rubbing my cheek. “Sae~. Sae~~.”
It seems the only thing she can say is my name.
She held the steak in front of me, pointing at it and saying, “Sae!”
“HUH?!”
“Sae, Sae!”
“Eh……? Hey, stop calling it ‘Sae’. Sae is my name. THAT is a steak. S-T-E-A-K. Steak!”
“Sssssssssssae?”
I groaned. She’s confusing me and a steak. I don’t believe this.
“That’s unfair, Sae-chan. How come she’s only saying YOUR name?”
“Like I know!”
“Sae?” Sayaka pointed at me, cutely tilting her head.
I nodded.
“Sae!” She chirped happily.
“Yes, I’m Sae. You’re Sayaka. Sa-ya-ka.”
“Sa-Saeyaka?” She tilted her head.
I laughed a bit at that….. why?
“Close. Sa-ya-ka.”
“Sa…. Saaaaa…. Saya.. Sayaka?” She smiled widely, pointing to herself. “Sayaka?”
“That’s right!”
She jumped up, hugging me around the neck and spinning us around.
“Sayaka~! Sae~! Sayaka~! Sae~!”
I looked over and saw Yuko smiling. “What now?”
“Saeyaka…. huh?”
“Eh?”
Jurina’s POV
I smiled faintly at the scene before me. But the smile quickly faded, as I remembered the Rena’s dream from the night before. I’m still confused on why I was doing such a thing. One moment we were...almost making love, and the next I’m tearing her heart out.
“What’s wrong?” I heard Mayu ask, I didn’t even realize she was beside me.
“What do you mean?” I asked, trying to avoid her probing look.
“You’re upset about something. What’s wrong?”
Should I tell her the dream? Then she’ll wanna know how I was able to see Rena-chan’s dreams. Sorry Mayu, but I can’t tell you.
“I just miss Rena right now.” I lied, I felt uncomfortable lying to her.
“Oh. She’ll be back a little later today won’t she?” She asked, remembering how Rena mentioned heading to her apartment after work to pick some things. With Yuki reappearing, Nee-chan invited Rena to stay with us. Rena’s not safe out there anymore.
Though, with that dream she had, I wondered if she’s safe here too.
“Nee-chan?”
“Eh?” I saw her standing beside me with a worried look on her face.
“Are you okay? You’ve been silent for a while.”
“Oh, I-I’m fine…”
The next thing I heard was a growl. The she-wolf was once more eyeing me. But instead of her normal attempts to attack me, she just scoffed and hugged Sae.
“Sae is Sayaka’s!”
“Eh?!”
“HA!!! She’s marking you as her freaking property, Sae-chan! Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!”
“It’s not funny, Yuko!” Nee-chan screamed as Sayaka kept squeezing her tight, eyeing all of us.
“Don’t sweat it, Nee-sama. You were like that with Yuki.”
Her face turned blood red…. Then….
Third Person POV
Not pleased with her recent piece of information, Yuki stormed through the halls of the palace, until she reached the Vampire Lord’s throne room. Upon entering, she dropped to one knee until addressed.
“I’m assuming you have more news?” Mariko’s bored voice broke the silence. The female on her lap was playing in her hair, a soft smile grew on her face, as the Lord tucked a bit of her hair out of her face.
“Yes, my Lord. Another female has entered their home, but something seems to be off about her.” Yuki gave her report.
“That’s it? You’re really disappointing me, Yukirin.”
“My...Apologies.” The lower ranked vampire said.
“Leave us.” Mariko instructed with a flick of her wrist.
Rising to both feet, Yuki turned and made her way out of the room.
“She’s hiding something.” The woman on Mariko’s lap hummed, looking down at her nails in displeasure.
“And what’s that Nyaro?” The Lord asked her partner, using her free arm to run it through her short hair.
“Well for one, the girl she mentioned isn't human. She sent out her companion, and it returned smelling of wolves. We know that there is currently a Beta wolf in the Miyazawa residence, but this wolf smelt stronger.” Haruna started, taking her gaze off of her nails, and moved it to cup Mariko’s face.
“Meaning what, my love?”
“There’s an Alpha near by.” She finished, placing a kiss on the Lord’s cheek.
“Ah, you’re too smart for me love.”
“And, y’know, maybe this Alpha girl that was with them developed feelings for Yuki’s ex, Sae. That would explain why she looked so mad.”
Mariko tapped her chin a bit. “Hm… I wouldn’t think she’d still be hung over that.”
She then heard a giggle at her right ear and was suddenly hugged by someone from behind. It was none other than Tomomi.
“She can’t help it if she’s like that. No one can. Love can do very strange things to people.”
“I understand that, Tomomi.” her Lord chuckled. “But, you’re certainly one to talk. You, who charms men and plays with their hearts before taking them into darkness.”
“Those foolish humans do anything for love.”
Haruna watched as the sexy vampire continued hugging the handsome Lord, then she felt something biting her lobe and saw Asuka behind her, playfully eating her ear.
“H-hey, Mocchi~”
“Sorry, Nyan-nyan, but I couldn’t resist anymore.”
“Yada~!!! Mari-chan, help me!!!!” she screamed and shook Mariko’s shoulder madly as Mocchi stuck on her like glue and continued her “feeding” on her ear.
“Asuka…”
Asuka pouted and removed herself from Haruna. “Fine~”
“Now, you were saying, Nyaro?”
“Oh. Well, anyways, I don’t think Yuki would go about this silently. She’s planning something.” She leaned over and saw Yuki walking out of her room. “I can feel it.”
Yuki stormed down the hall, a dark aura surrounding her as her eyes became black as night. She gripped her fists tightly and gritted her teeth, remembering the image of Sae and that girl.
‘Damn that girl… That human girl! How can Sae turn her affection to that…. that THING?!’
She punched the wall and flew the doors of the large mansion open.
‘I’ll show you… Miyazawa Sae.’
Rena’s POV
Surprisingly there wasn’t much work to be done today, so I managed to clock out early today. Which worked perfectly, since I had to make a pit stop at my home and pick up a few things. To my surprise, outside waiting for me was the driver who also brought me to work.
“Were you here all day?” I asked, slipping into the back.
“Yes, Sae-sama instructed that I wait for you.” She nodded, waiting for me to give her an order.
“Can you take me to my apartment? I need to pick up a few things.”
Nodding, the driver began driving me to my destination.
It didn’t take us long to arrive, I soon exited the car, denying needing any help with my things. Grabbing an elevator, I soon arrived at room door, unlocking it and slipping in. I soon felt my jaw drop.
Everything was a mess.
Both of my hands went up to cover my mouth, as I walked around, surveying the damage. The mattress and blankets were torn and stuffing was everywhere, there was lots of broken glass on the ground and my mirror and the windows of my apartment was shattered badly.
“Who… Who did this?!”
I looked at the shattered mirror and saw black ichor in between bits of the glass.
“What IS this stuff?” When I touched it, I felt my skin burn a little and quickly retracted. The black blood-like substance was stained on the floor like ink and wouldn’t come off no matter how much I tried to clean it.
But…
“Only a demon could….”
I then heard a knock at the door. When I opened it, I saw an unfamiliar girl wearing a camouflage uniform, black leather boots and matching gloves. What shocked me the most was she had a gun at the side of her waist.
“Are you Matsui Rena?”
“Y-yes…”
She entered the room and looked around. She picked up a piece of the mirror and scraped the black ink into a container.
“Looks like demon activity. I’ll have to relocate you to a safer area, ma’am.”
“Oh, no! That’s fine. I-I have a friend who lives near here. I’ll stay with her until you, uhh, fix everything up.”
“Alright.” She bowed and started leaving. “Take care, Matsui-san.”
“Wait. W-what’s your name?”
“Ah! I’m Takajo Aki, 6th generation demon hunter. See ya~” She waved at me cutely and left, confused and a bit shocked.
Well, I guess I have no choice but to go back to Jurina’s place.
Sae’s POV
“Yaaaaaaa!!!” I watched as Yuko let out a loud battle cry and kicked off the trunk of the tree. She moved from tree to tree, swinging around from each branching, clawing the wood, and flying off until she reached the top.
“Yuko, are you sure Sayaka’s ready for this?”
“Hey, she’s gotta learn SOME time! Climbing trees may be my thing, but it’d be cool if I can finally have her come up here.”
“Not a climber?”
“Yeah! Uhhh…. Sayaka’s bad with heights.”
I facepalmed, groaning. “Then don’t teach her this!”
“C’mon~ I’m just trying to help her face her fear. C’mon, Sayaka, try to climb up here!”
Sayaka was over here fidgeting, a bit nervous about climbing up there. She looked at me cutely. “Sae…”
“Well…. I guess I have no choice.”
I ran up towards the tree and jumped up, flying to a branch not as far up as Yuko went. I looked down and saw Sayaka whining while clawing the tree. She’s close to tears.
“Don’t be afraid, Sayaka! Just climb up here!”
Sayaka nodded and tried climbing the tree trunk, but kept sliding back down. She tried again and again, each attempt coming closer bit by bit, but kept failing.
Finally gaining the courage, she backed away a bit and ran straight forward before jumping up…
And… smacked right into the tree.
She fell to the ground, holding her head and crying like a baby. I had no choice but to jump back down and comfort her.
“Shh, shhh, it’s okay, Sayaka.”
“Sae!!! Ueeeeeee…!!! Sae!!!”
No matter how much I tried to calm her, she continued crying.
‘Mou~ what do I do?’
Yuko jumped and down and looked down at the bruise on Sayaka’s head. It was right smack dab on the scar from who knows how long ago, when she lost her memory.
She hissed. “Ouch. That had to hurt.”
“Hey, you’re the one who persuaded her to come here and climb trees.”
She looked back at the crying girl in my arms and grinned.
“There is ONE thing you can do.”
She leaned forward and whispered her idea in my ear. I turned bright red, my eyes widened in shock.
“Are you SERIOUS?!”
“Hey, which do you want? Calm, cute, puppy Sayaka, or this?” she pointed to the loud, crying, baby Sayaka in my arms once more.
Pursing my lips, I sighed and held the girl up, holding her neck and waist. I stared into her eyes and wiped away her tears. Slowly, I moved up and kissed her forehead, soft and tender.
I watched as Sayaka just stared at me with a shocked expression and her face slightly became pink.
“S-Sae…” She touched her forehead and looked at her hand. She must’ve not felt the pain anymore.
“Uh, Sayaka, that…” I touched my lips and blushed harder. “Th-that… was a kiss. Yeah, that’s all it was. A kiss.”
“Ki...su?”
“Uhhh… y-yeah… It’s what someone does when they… r-r-really… really love someone.”
“Ra..bu?”
“.....Yeah.”
She blushed and smiled at me. Slowly raising herself up, she gave me a small kiss on the cheek and giggled at my surprised expression.
“Sayaka… love… Sae…”
I felt the heat creep up to my face entirely and there was an immense pumping in my chest.
‘Wha… What is this?’
“Oh, how cute. Is this your replacement for me, Sae-chan?”
I turned to the direction of the voice, and there she was, walking between two of the trees.
“Yuki…”
At both of her sides were two more familiar faces I haven’t seen in a while.
“My, my, this is quite a scene we have here.”
“Indeed, Aneki.”
“Eh~. You got the Kabuki Sisters as your little puppets. That’s low, Yuki-bitch,” Yuko chuckled sarcastically.
Yuki just glared at her as the two girls laughed back at her.
“Now, now, Yuko-chan, don’t be like that.”
“However, if we have to, we will use force.”
“Girls, take care of my ex and the Beta, but that girl over there is mine.”
“Yes, ma’am.” The two said in unison, before vanishing.
The older sister reappeared in front of me, a bored look on her face. “I don’t really wanna fight you, but you know how it is when she gets pissed.” Tomomi shrugged, dropping to her fighting stance, both palms wide open.
“The woes of being a lower tier vampire huh?” I smirked, when her face flattered, contorting to rage, as I mentioned ranking. Without warning she came at me, but I managed to dodge her attack. “It’s like” I dodged another attack. “you’re trying.” I backhanded her away, causing her to cry out.
“Shut up!” She charged at me once again.
I rolled my eyes, as I knew this wasn’t going to last long.
Third Person pov
“You’re really cute you know. It’d be a shame to hurt you, Vampire or not.” Yuko sighed, as she looked her opponent up and down.
A faint blush grew on Mocchi’s face. “Flattery won’t get you out of this fight.” She growled, cracking her knuckles, before charging at the Beta wolf. Her eyes widened when her target vanished, she soon felt two hands groping her behind. “Oho~ These are soft.” Yuko laughed.
“W-what’re you doing! Fight me seriously!” The younger vampire yelled, turning around to punch the she-wolf, but once again was met with nothing.
“Trust me kiddo, you don’t want me fighting you seriously. But for now, I think I’ll just play with you. Oh by the way, cute panties.”
“Huh?” Mocchi said, as she looked downward, just to see the wolf lifting her skirt upward, a perverted grin on her face.
“Eh, you’re no fun you know. Maybe you should sleep.” Yuko smiled, unlike before there was something creepy about this smile. “Nighty Night.” She hummed, before chopping the female in her neck, causing her body to stiffen before falling to the ground.
“Now to check on Sayaka.”
“AHHHHH!”
Sae’s Pov
“Are you done yet?” I yawned at the eldest one, she had yet to land a single blow on me, just barely able to touch me half of them time. I watched in amusement as she panted, before letting out another shout, as she charged me once again.
I sidestepped, grabbed her arm and flung her onto her back, this time she couldn’t get back up, due to the fact she was out of energy. “This is why you’re never going to rank up. You’re weak.” I leaned down and whispered into her ear, before standing back up and dusting myself off.
“AHHHHH!”
I whipped my head in the direction of the sound, there I saw Yuki standing there, her hand wrapped around Sayaka’s throat.
“Let her go!” Yuko yelled, running at her, only to be swatted away.
“You’re getting in the way. Both of you are nothing but pests.”
Sayaka whimpered, before glancing over at me, she was breathless, but she moved her mouth, wordlessly I knew what she said.
“Sae.”
Rage.
I felt it consume me, as I approached the scene, but Yuki payed no mind to me, until my hand grabbed her arm.
“Let. Her. Go!” I yelled, gripping down with an unnatural amount of force, I could feel the muscle on her arm sinking. I watched at it became weaker and weaker, until it dropped Sayaka. At that point I threw the arm out of my grasp, as if it had burned me.
I glared into Yuki’s eyes, and I saw three things: Anger, Fear, and Jealousy.
What is she jealous of?
“Why am I always the one being smacked around.” Yuko grumbled, standing up with a frown on her face.
“It seems that it’s just you now.”
“I don’t need them to do this!” She laughed, before vanishing.
“Sae!” I turned towards Sayaka, and I watched in horror, as Yuki opened her mouth and sunk it into her neck….
Or so I thought. She looked back up and stared at Sayaka.
‘What’s she…?’
Yuki’s POV
I was ready to sink my teeth into this girl’s neck and drain all her blood dry out…
But, right when I was about to sink my fangs into her, I caught her scent. It was an incredibly strong scent, and one I definitely found familiar.
‘A wolf?’
I looked at her and saw nothing but fear and sadness in her eyes. She kept shaking and trembling against the tree in fear, softly calling out Sae’s name.
Why is she scared of me if she’s a wolf?
‘So… Sae’s replaced me with some worthless, filthy werewolf?’ I grabbed her shoulder and was ready to punch her across the face. She flinched, shutting her eyes and wincing.
Watching this girl made me sick. She’s just a filthy dog.
“....Hmm…” But… seeing as she’s in such a weak state, and that she has some affection towards Sae…
Perhaps I can use her.
I unclenched my fist and slowly held her head to face me.
“Look into my eyes.” I locked straight into her gaze and dived deep into her soul. “Give up your mind. I will command you.”
Her eyes widened and slowly turned red before they drooped down into a sleepy gaze.
‘Didn’t take long at all...’
Sae’s POV
“What are you doing to Sayaka?!” I ran up to stop her, but Tomomi stepped in front of successfully hit my chest, sending me flying.
“No, no, Sae-boy. You’re my opponent, remember?”
‘Damn it… Sayaka…’
“Take this!” She speeded forward and prepared to punch my stomach, but she suddenly unclenched her fist and hit me with her bare palm rather than her fist.
I felt like my stomach was gonna fly out of me.
“Why you…”
“LOOK OUT!!!!”
Before we knew it, Mocchi came flying past us and ran into a tree, bruises and scratch marks on her face. We looked and saw Yuko only half transformed, with a silver tail and ears to match her white turned hair. She wiped the blood off her mouth and smiled.
“Not too shabby…”
Tomomi ran over to take care of the wolf girl, while I turned and saw Yuki standing all alone, a smile on her face.
“Now then, where were we?” I chuckled. Clenching my fist tight, I ran up and screamed I was about to punch her. “I’ll make you PAY!!!”
Then, I felt something grab my fist and stopped my movements. I was surprised to meet intense, red eyes angrily staring at me.
“Sayaka?!”
She grabbed my arm and threw me behind her, making me hit the ground. I tried to get up, but she quickly grabbed me and pinned me to the ground, her claws digging into my arms.
“Sayaka-chan, stop!!!” Yuko ran up and tried to stop her, but Sayaka swung her arm and scratched Yuko’s face. “Hey!”
Sayaka transformed into her lycan form and used me as a bat to hit Yuko. The two of us fell to the ground and were driven into the dirt. I angrily looked at Yuki, who was just standing there and enjoying this.
I was ready to beat her up, but once again, Sayaka moved in front of her and growled at me.
“Sayaka, it’s me! Sae!”
“Don’t even try, Sae-chan,” Yuki said evilly, almost sadistically. “She’s too far gone to even hear you.”
“Sayaka, no...”
Rena’s POV
I arrived home, but to my surprise Jurina was waiting for me at the door. “Something wrong?” I asked, as she held the door open for me.
She nodded, grabbing my hand and leading us to her room. Once the door was closed, she let go of my hand, and went to sit down on her bed.
“Are you afraid of me?” She asked.
“Where’s this coming from? Of course I’m not afraid of you.” I responded.
“But your dream tells me other words.” Jurina huffed.
I felt my eyes widen at her statement. “What do you mean? Y-You’ve seen my dream? But how?”
She pointed to necklace I was wearing, before responding. “It allows me to see your dreams. I was worried, so peered into your mind.”
“J-Jurina… Are you.. spying on me?”
“Wha-? Rena, it’s nothing like that--”
“It’s EXACTLY like that!!! You don’t have any right to do that, Jurina. I love you, but...”
“Rena-chan, I only did it for you. Y-You have to understand.” She explained, reaching out for me, but I backed away. I could see the hurt in her eyes at my movements. I removed necklace and tossed it towards her.
“I’ll be staying in the guest room for now.” I turned and placed my hand on the door.
“I understand. I’m sorry, Rena-chan.” I heard her whisper before I closed the door.
I held my chest, feeling a heaviness in my heart take over. I sighed and started heading towards the guest room.
Third Pov Person
‘Where are you?’ Aki wondered as she kept her steps light, she had been tracing a demon down for a few hours now. She managed to track down it’s den, but there was a possibility of it having friends.
Seeing movement from the front, she lifted her gun and shot, there was a large scream, before something collapsed to the ground.
Standing from her crouched position, the demon huntress jogged over to the fallen beast. A Fae, she thought to herself.
Confirming the kill, Aki pulled out her phone and hit a special button on the side.
“This is headquarters.” A voice drifted through.
“Takajo Aki reporting in, Assignment has been completed, but it seems that I might of found a breeding ground.” She whispered her report.
“We’re tracing your location, please wait one moment.”
After waiting a few seconds, her phone lit up.
“We’ve successfully gotten the data from your phone. Please return to base.” and with that the call ended.
“Alright, guess I should clean up around here...”
Concentrating her energy, she formed a ball of light in her hands and slowly lowered it into the Dark Fae’s chest. Slowly, he faded away into black dust and disappeared in the wind.
“There...”
Sae’s POV
‘Sayaka...’
I wiped the blood off my mouth as I saw the almost completely untouched werewolf facing me. Her glazed, red eyes were locked on me as she growled in anger and insanity.
‘Sayaka, please wake up,’ I silently pray to the hypnotized wolf.
We circled each other, waiting for the first attack to come, then she charged at me, baring her teeth and foaming. I was able to stop her, but not for long as her claws slashed my shoulder and I was thrown back.
I wanted to fight back, but a part of me was telling me no. It was screaming it and making me stop fighting and run away from her to dodge her attacks.
I shook my head, trying not to face her as she charged to me again. ‘I can’t do it… I can’t hurt Sayaka...’
I saw her body flash in a gold light as she charged towards me and I found myself flying backwards the very next moment. I opened my eyes and saw Sayaka’s blood thirsty eyes as she growled at me and picked me up by my neck. She pushed me against a tree and started strangling my neck.
Damn, it hurts…
I looked and could see Yuki smiling as she watched me suffer, but only for a few short seconds as my vision slowly started to blur as I could feel my strength slip.
‘C-c’mon… gotta… k-keep… b-b-breathing….’
With all my strength, I grabbed her shoulders and tried to free myself from her grasp, weakly kicking her. I wanted to release my fangs on her, but it was too painful to try. Plus…
I still can’t bring myself to hurt her.
I raised my hand slowly to grab her hair and pulled her head down. As I did, I was able to make her release my neck…
…..
But, at the same time, I kissed her forehead, the exact spot that hurt her so much for so long.
After a few seconds, she limply fell into my arms and turned back into her human form, fast asleep. I slowly set her down and stared at Yuki.
“Leave us alone… you have no business here anymore. I never wanna see your face again. EVER.”
Yuko came up, dragging both of the Kabuki Twins behind her. “Yeah, get out and stay out, bitch!”
Yuki glared at her confused. “Huh?”
“Saeyuki’s time is over! Now, it’s Saeyaka!”
‘....Ha? Yuko… bakayaro...’
Yuki clicked her tongue and grabbed her two friends, helping them up.
“My, my, things have sure changed.” she chuckled sarcastically. “Until we meet again.”
She left and there was a painful silence that left me riled up in more anger.
That silence soon disappeared as I heard a small groan from Sayaka. I instantly rushed to her side and held her close.
“Sayaka, please, wake up...” I softly prayed as I hugged her tight, hoping she was okay.
I felt her sniff my neck as her nose nuzzled against me.
“...Miruku...” I gasped as I heard her voice. I slowly broke away and saw her clung onto my shirt, a slight tear falling down her cheek. “Smells like… milk.”
“Sayaka!” I hugged her tightly, tears falling freely down my eyes.
‘Wait… why am I crying?’
“Sae… g-gomen...”
I patted her head and comforted her as much as I could. “Don’t. Please, this is all my fault.”
“But...” she looked up at me with such beautiful innocent eyes. “Sae… hurt. Sayaka hurt Sae.”
“I know, and I forgive you. But, Yuki came here to hurt me. She just used you because she knew how I cared for you, and I let my guard down.”
“Sae… care?”
I smiled and patted her head. “Of course I do. I...” I looked out of the corner of my eyes and saw Yuko’s eyebrows dancing with a look that said “Say it~ Say it~”
I sighed and looked back at Sayaka.
“I… I love you, Sayaka.”
“....Sae… love Sayaka?”
I heard Yuko slightly squeal as she watched everything like a romance movie.
“Y-yeah… I do.”
Sayaka blushed a bit and looked away, covering her mouth and looking around nervously. Now, this looks just like a teenage school drama!
‘You happy now, Yuko?! YOU HAPPY?!’
“Sae...” I heard her voice break me from my annoyed thoughts and she looked at me again. “..A…. a-ari… to…..”
“Eh?”
“....Arigato…. Arigatou!” She jumped up and hugged me tight, crying into my shoulder while repeating that one word over and over.
Yuko finally let out a high squeal of happiness and had a bit of a fangirl moment. Sayaka looked at her a bit confused, then chuckled.
“Yuko...” She got up and walked towards the squirrel girl. Yuko stood up happily.
“Yes.”
Then, she got a karate chop to the head. “Bakayaro.”
I covered my mouth as I almost burst into laughter. Yuko rubbed her head and looked up at the Alpha. She smiled.
“She’s back.”
“Yuko...” Sayaka ruffled her hair and smiled. “Bakayaro.”
“Ah~ I love you too, Sayaka-chan!!!” she said in a baby voice as she hugged her waist and rubbed against her chest.
“Sayaka love Yuko, too.”
“Cuz I’m an idiot?”
“Yuko kawaii bakayaro.”
“Thank you~” Why do I feel like this is a Beat Takeshi and Shimura Ken manzai being played out right before my eyes?
Rena’s POV
‘Where am I?’ I glanced around my surroundings, but all I was met with was darkness. I got up from the floor, and reached out, only to feel a wall. I used it to guide myself towards the exit.
It didn’t take me long to find it, wrapping my hands around the doorknob, I pulled it open. A bright light engulfed my whole body, as if it was transporting me somewhere.
When the light died down, I realized I was somewhere else...somewhere familiar.
Wandering around for a bit, I realized where I was.
Jurina’s old home.
“Rena-chan! Hurry up!” I looked behind me, to see a mini Jurina tugging...a smaller verson of myself.
“I’m moving as fast as I can.” Mini Rena panted.
‘This must be a memory.’ I realized, as I followed the duo around, a small smile on my face. I was enjoying the nostalgic feeling of reliving my childhood though my dream.
“Jurina! We’re home!” A loud voice entered the home.
Immediately, I noticed how the younger Jurina froze upon hearing the voice.
“Jurina? What’s wrong? Who’s that?” Mini Rena asked, noticing how her friend had frozen up,
“N-nothing. Rena-chan you have to promise me something. No matter what, don’t leave this room. Okay?”
Still confused, my younger version nodded her head.
Placing a kiss on my younger version’s cheek, Mini Jurina exited the room, and went down stairs. I followed her, since I too was curious to what was happening.
“W-welcome home.” Jurina stuttered, her head low to her parents.
“Jurina, what’s wrong? You seem down…”
“What’s that smell? Have you been around the humans again?”
Jurina lowered her hair more and shook her head. It was obviously a lie.
The Matsui head simply walked past his daughter, climbing the steps.
“Father! Wait a moment…” Mini-Jurina chased her father up the stairs. But it was already too late, he found my younger version sitting alone in Jurina’s room.
“So you lied to me huh?” He turned, his eyes flashing red.
“Father, I...”
*Slap*
Jurina was sent flying into the wall behind her, any other child her age would of been crying or out cold, but she sat there.
“Get her out of here, and then come see me.” With those words, the Elder went back down stairs.
“Rena, I’m sorry. You have to leave now.” Jurina stood up, her cheek was bright red and already starting to swell. She slowly reached out for my smaller version, who after seeing the mild punishment to Jurina, had tears welling up in her eyes.
‘I used to be quite the crybaby.’ I watched, as Jurina comforted me, before escorting me out.
Another bright light consumed my body, this time I was back where I started, except there was light inside of the room.
A dungeon?
“What did I tell you about being around humans?” A loud and harsh voice broke the silence in the room. I turned to the source, Jurina’s father.
He was standing before her, a deep frown on his face, his eyes were blood red.
Jurina was bound to the wall behind her, her face was bruised worse than before, fresh blood dripping from her mouth. “She’s harmless, father.”
*Smack*
“Wrong answer. I’ll give you another chance.”
Jurina remained quiet for a moment before raising her head, her eyes locked with her fathers.
“You can punish me as much as you wish, but that won’t stop me from seeing her.”
“Insolent brat! I’ll put you in your place!
*Punch*
Hit after hit was throw at Jurina, but she still had a smile on her face, after what felt like forever of watching the punishment, her father left. Not soon after he left, did Jurina’s mother come rushing in.
“You really are hardheaded.” She scolded her daughter lightly. “Why is that girl so important to you?” She asked, as she released her from the shackles.
“She makes me feel so alive...I think I love her.” Jurina responded.
Even from such a young age, she already fell in love with me.
I soon found myself awake from my... dream? Memory? I’m unsure of that was.
Glancing at the time, I soon discovered that I slept most of the day away, as it was nearing night time. The time this house starts to get lively. It’s so weird living with people now, since I’ve lived alone for such a long time.
Once I left the bathroom, I started wandering down the halls I’d become accustomed to, following the sound of yelling and laughter. Upon entering the room, I found Yuko teasing a pink faced Sae and Sayaka sitting beside each other.
“Chris, what are you doing?” I asked, when I noticed them both sending me looks for help.
“Oh nothing~” She smiled innocently.
“What happened?”
“Oh not much~” she said again. But, I feel she’s hiding something. I looked over at Sae.
“Uhhh...”
“Kappuru seiritsu~” Sayaka giggled as she held Sae’s hand.
“Eh?!” I felt my face turn hot as I realized what was going on. “C-couple?!”
Sae’s face turned bright red.
“I’ll leave you guys alone then.” I said, turning around, retreating back my room. Before I reached my door, I bumped into something, more specially someone. Glancing up, I locked eyes with a familiar pair brown eyes.
“Jurina…”
“Rena-chan…”
“......................”
“Are you two going to stand there all night?” Hearing Mayu’s voice broke our stare off.
“Mayu...”
“I’m going to bed.” I said to avoid anymore of this awkward, painful silence.
Mayu’s POV
“Did something happen?” I asked, once Rena closed the door to her room.
“A mild disagreement.” Jurina mumbled.
“About?”
She just remained silent and shook her head.
“Will I have to see more of this awkward silence from you two from now on?”
“No…. I hope she’ll forgive me soon.”
I nodded my head and headed back to my room.
‘Something’s suspicious...’ I stared and saw the mirror in front of me, seeing my reflection. I gulped. ‘I guess I have no choice….’
Gazing into the mirror, I began casting a spell I learned years ago.
“I call upon the being of light, the being of darkness, the being of mind, my counterpart, show your true heart, you are mine, show me your mind!"
Black smoke formed in the mirror as a saw a dark shadow slowly appeared.
Her full figure appeared as she looked up at me and smiled.
"It's been a while... My dear sister..."
"Nezumi..."
