Here goes teacher/student Yuiparu. I'm not sorry that I suck at this type and cannot write long OS

Shimazaki Haruka, aka Paruru hated school, which was an established fact in Akihabara Girl High School. The girl was not the brightest crayon in the box – her highest academic rating was C+. The only one to score lower than Paruru was her friend Ricchan, formally known as Kawaei Rina; however, not only Ricchan was excellent at sports and got scholarship offers from famous sport universities, but she was also dating the student council president Iriyama Anna, whose icy glare could stop anyone from making a funny comment about her girlfriend. Because of the unresolved tension between her and school, Haruka didn’t show up very often for class – she would rather stroll in the school garden or stay up on the roof. When she did show up for class though, she would look out of the window and daydream.
The teachers had tried almost everything to get her to work hard, but Paruru was salty enough to ignore their efforts, so they had given up on her. Even when she had great risks of repeating high school. They had stopped reaching out for her after they failed to breach her emotional walls.
Things changed, however, when she showed up for class on the first day of the second semester. The class representative announced that they would have a new teacher, since their last one was too frustrated to continue facing the salty girl. Everyone began whispering, curious to know about the new teacher, probably Paruru’s new victim of “salt-poisoning”. The main character of the gossips, however, just silently sat in the seat next to the window, watching the scenery outside.
The bell rang, and the new teacher came in, much to everybody’s expectation. The school had assigned a young woman to be their teacher this time, not a 50-something guy like the previous years. They would have cheered, but there was this aura coming from the teacher that stopped them. Yet, to Paruru, that same aura had something very attractive.
The new teacher wrote her name on the board, and said in Kansai-ben: “I will begin teaching you from today on, the name’s Yokoyama Yui. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.”
“This woman is so beautiful. I can’t take my mind off her.” Paruru thought. She was so focused on the new Yokoyama-sensei that she didn’t hear her own name.
“Shimazaki-san? Is Shimazaki-san in this class?” Yokoyama-sensei was doing a roll call, and it took a few seconds for Haruka to realize that.
“H… hai.” Embarrassed, the salty student raised her hand. The class began snickering like usual at her lack of focus. Unlike the previous teachers who would have made fun of her already, the new teacher just signaled the class to keep silent.
“I know you probably wouldn’t be interested in this class, Shimazaki-san, but at least be concentrated while I’m doing the roll call. Wouldn’t it be a shame to be marked as ‘absent’ while you’re actually in class, no?” Yokoyama-sensei just smiled at Paruru softly. “Now, class, please open your book to page 148 to continue what you have left off last semester.”
At the smile of Yokoyama-sensei, Paruru felt warm. It was a long time since anyone smiled at her like that.
After the first meeting with sensei, Paruru found her new motivation to go to class – she wanted to look at her teacher every day. The problem was that, because she spent more time looking at Yokoyama-sensei, she did not actually learned more than she did before. The result was that the first test she took from her crush (yes, you heard it right) was a D. Paruru felt like kicking herself for yet again embarrassing herself in front of sensei.
After class ended that day, Yokoyama-sensei kept Paruru back after everyone else had gone.
“Shimazaki-san, we have something to discuss here.” The teacher was not satisfied with the student’s result, but she didn’t scowl like Paruru’s teachers used to.
“As my colleagues have informed me, you academic performance is a little bit… you know. Don’t you have any worries about your future?”
“I do sometimes, but somehow I couldn’t bring myself to care.” Paruru answered honestly, didn’t even bother to lie. “I’m not going to make it anyway.”
“Don’t say that, Shimazaki. You can make it, if you try hard enough. I once thought like you when I was your age. Back then, I was a yankee; and studying was the least of my priority. But I realized I could not go on like that forever and had to make a change. Nobody expected me to be able to get into university, but I did.” The teacher shook her head in disappointment. “And here I am, standing in a prestigious high school teaching; this is much better than working at a supermarket or massage parlor.”
Paruru remained silent. Yui continued: “As a teacher, I don’t want to see my student working hours in unfavorable conditions for a few yen a day; and I’m sure nobody among you wants to work like that. But in order to achieve your dream, you must get your act together and go for it. If I could, then you can.”
Yokoyama-sensei’s words were strict, but also full of concern; and they made Haruka ashamed of what she had said, giving up so easily.
“I… I understand, sensei. I’m sorry for saying such cowardly words.” The student said in a low voice.
“Don’t apologize, Shimazaki-san. It’s understandable. Jaa, that’s it, you can go home now. Be sure to work hard, okay.”
“Thank you, sensei.”
“No problem, I’m just trying to help.”
After their little talk, the salty girl was more motivated to work hard, at school and at home. The change in her made all of her teachers amazed. Except Yui, who had a smug look that made people think she had won a bet against her colleagues about making Paruru interested in studying. Months passed by, and finally it was time for graduation. Contrary to people’s initial opinions, Shimazaki Haruka was named among those who could take the degree and move on from this place.
The graduation ceremony was beautiful, with the gentle pink falling cherry blossom petals in the spring wind. Despite their eager to move on, the students cried a lot at the thought of separating from their close friends (and maybe lover). Like this…
“Ricchan, please remember to visit me every weekend.” The icy student council grabbed Ricchan’s collar.
“Why should I? I don’t have to do that…” the sporty girl retorted.
“How dare you? Our universities are not that far from each other. Or is it that you’ve grown bored of me and want to flirt with some cute girls…” Ricchan cut her girlfriend’s angry speech with a deep kiss.
“… when I can spend everday in the week with you. My dearest Annin, would you move in my apartment and make me the happiest person alive?”
“Yes, of course… I agree.” Annin hugged her idiotic girlfriend tightly. “Wait, is this a hidden proposal or something?”
“Who cares?” Ricchan said, before kissing her again.
[Meanwhile]
“That went quite smoothly for such a baka.” Paruru smiled from afar, under a sakura tree. Yui stood beside her.
“Have you got any idea what to do after high-school?” The (ex)teacher asked.
“I’ll go to Todai*. I want to be a teacher, just like you, Yokoyama-sensei.”
“Now that you’re no longer my student, please call me Yuihan. ‘Yokoyama-sensei’ makes me sound old.”
There was a few moment of silence, before the younger girl spoke up again.
“Nee, Yoko… I mean, Yuihan…”
“Yes?”
Paruru handed her a letter in a pink envelope, and a small heart-shaped box: “I meant to give you this on Valentine’s day, but I was too afraid to do it. Now that I’m graduating, I might as well give it to you. Yuihan, will you let me be your girlfriend?”
Yui smiled, that ever so gentle smile of hers that Paru fell in love with: “Why not?”
