Main Characters
These aren't the only characters by the way :)

- Team AKB (a.k.a Always Kicking Butt)
   - Oshima Yuko
Hates monsters (and sheep) with a deep passion, but always slacks off during every mission. Has a dangerous fetish to curves (and wool). Namely womanly curves.

   -Takahashi Minami
The self-proclaimed leader of the group. With her short height comes her short temper. May not be the best at directions and stand-up comedy, but is the best person for advice. Except for love. Never love.

   - Itano Tomomi
Has no idea how she ended up joining a monster hunting group. One minute she's getting proposed to, the next she's riding a pegasus and throwing spears. Arguably the most talented of the team.

   - Minegishi Minami
A wanted criminal for stealing a young maiden's heart. Literally. She's the last person you want in the kitchen. Not only is she a bad cook, she'll also rob your whole house before the table is set up.

- Team SKE (a.k.a. Seriously Kissing Everything)
     - Matsui Jurina

Only member therefore the best. She's willing to kiss anything cute and regularly kisses bunnies in her backyard. Also likes to hit on other women using puns despite being younger than most of them.

     - Miyazawa Sae
After betraying the royalty of Akihabara, she was exiled to Shanghai only to return to Sakae. Not really party of the group but is Jurina's mentor in everything ikemen. Also does anything the great Sayaka says. If she says anything.

- Team NMB (a.k.a No More Bakas)
   - Yamada Nana

Head honcho of the team. Has absolutely no patience left due to one of her fellow comrades. Beware, her terrible humor is enough to make you visibly cringe. May even cause death due to being unable to comprehend it.

   - Ogasawara Mayu
That one grunt who repeats everything the upper ranks say. Her annoying mlg jokes and wordplay can drive anyone crazy. That’s what happened to the leader.

   - Fukumoto Aina
Possibly the only sane and normal person within the groups. Also a well known street performer with a harp. Makes the best boiled eggs.

   - Watanabe Miyuki
Joined because the uniforms looked cute. Her relationship status is complicated (but she’s single).

- Team HKT (a.k.a. Has Kawaii Teens)
   - Sashihara Rino
She’s not a teenager but she’s definitely kawaii.
   - Miyawaki Sakura
Most likely to die due to her horrible running form when being chased by any type of danger, but miraculously survives from pure luck. Has a hard time breathing through her nose. Is a mouth breather.

Gods
- Akimoto Sayaka
The mystical guardian who watches over the hunters. Yet she isn’t of much use and actually watches them as if it was a drama.

Prologue

Akihabara, Sakae, Namba, Hakata, the four major kingdoms of Japan. Each one of them is notorious for the many monster hunters they trained. The practice of monster hunting has gotten so well known that even Jakarta and Shanghai, two foreign kingdoms, picked up on the sport. Without these hunters the whole country would be a barren wasteland full of gruesome creatures. However, there's one kingdom that's unlike the rest. Niigata. The smallest compared to the other six. If it weren't for the ruler of Niigata, monster hunting wouldn't have been a thing.

A young man sat in front of a banana tree. What looked like a kanji written out in bananas lied in front of him. He stared at the bananas with such concentration a vein popped out on his forehead.

"Oot enif si urahimok! Ihso nahciim reverof!" He chanted. From above the tree a portal opened up, and a giant gorilla from the waist up appeared with his arms crossed.

“Uho! Why has thou summoned me?” His voice rang out. It smelled of bananas.

The man smiled as he spoke. "I wish to make a contract with you."

Helloooo! First fic on here... Please be nice to me! A friend on this forum (CrikeyRoo) said I should make a fantasy themed fanfic since I play a lot of MMORPGs. Here's my attempt on that.  :twothumbs
I decided to have crack/main pairings and also some members who I haven't seen much, if any, of fics with them. A little spoiler for those who are or aren't a fan of crack pairs. Some members may or may not end up in the main pair but a crack pair.  :P
The characters I have down aren't the only ones. I have many others planned. I don't want to spoil things. Their classes are also not included. Also I don't plan on the chapters being as short as the prologue  :nervous
Hope you look forward to the rest!  :) (Psst, reverse the chant!)

Heyoo. :) Here's the first chapter! Although the main story doesn't really start until the second.  :nervous

When I was writing this it went past 8K words so I broke it up into four parts  :nervous

@blakwhite You can tell who my oshimens are

@Ruka Kikuchi Just wait until later on in the story!

@chrunoi Yussss! I'm more of an AtsuMari than Atsumina fan because I think Takamina's better in WMinami  :P

@ChibiRine I am adding Komiharu to the story, she's one of my oshimens! But sadly she might not be added until halfway in the story or something  :( I like to think that AKB/SKE members who joined after 2009 and NMB/HKT who joined after 2011 are the new generation. a.k.a The kids of these members  :)  Hopefully you'll still stick around

Chapter 1 (Part 1)

Where were you when it all started?

*****

The moon held its place high in the navy blue sky, stars decorated the surrounding area.

A dark horse plastered with a considerable amount of blood bolted through the heavy underbrush of the vast forest, away from the village a mile away. On top of the equine sat a hooded, hunched over figure. One gloved hand held onto the horse's reins while the other held quite a grotesque object. A human heart.

Royal knights pursued the suspicious character on gallant white steeds. Each one donned heavy iron armor that sparkled under the moonlight, as well as a sheathed rapier. Leading the group atop a majestic pegasus, Shinoda Mariko threatened the runaway criminal.

"Slow down you piece of scum! I promise your death won't be too agonizing if you give up and admit your crimes!"

The fugitive did nothing but pick up speed in reply. Sharply turning left around a rotten tree, he made some of the knights crash into each other. Mariko furrowed her brows and continued to follow him, leaving behind her comrades. Eventually she ended only a few paces behind the other.

The fleeing horse kept a fast pace before tripping over exposed tree roots, giving their pursuers a chance to catch up. Mariko unsheathed her steel rapier. "I warned you. Prepare to die!" She swung at the criminal's head but her pegasus tripped on the same tree roots. The sharp blade made contact with the other's steed. The horse, unable to continue with a severed leg, fell on its side causing the criminal to topple down with it. The heart he held flew off and landed on the dirt.

"Shit..." The criminal cursed while scrambling to his feet to retrieve the organ. He disappeared before the knight and her pegasus could recover from their own fall.

Mariko snarled. "Stubborn bastard. But without a horse he has a giant disadvantage." She noticed the dying horse from the corner of her eye and put it out of its misery with a quick slice. "I'm not sure what someone would need a bunch of hearts for, specifically maiden hearts. Whatever the reason he's charged for multiple murders." Wasting no more time, Mariko hopped back onto her steed and left in the direction the criminal went.

Unbeknownst to her, he hid inside a hollowed tree. When the coast was clear he ran in the opposite direction. Lucky for him the other knights have been long lost by now.

Running and turning in a specific pattern of right, left, around a mossy boulder and through a massive wall of drooping branches the criminal found himself at the edge of a massive pond. He stood in a shallow area and crouched down to wash the heart. All the dirt and grime that stuck to it washed away, as well as the blood that still pumped out. Despite there being no wind blowing the water, the blood floated towards the middle. It swirled around in weird patterns before sinking. The water began to shake and ripple.

"Found ya! You're not going to get away so easily this time." The criminal gasped in shock when he discovered the water did not shake due to the blood but by Mariko's pegasus. The duo flew across the pond with amazing speed.

The criminal tried to get out of the way but the water slowed him down. Mariko tackled the thief and the two wrestled until the knight ended up on top. With her rapier held up high and pointed towards the other's throat, she shouted one line.

"Pick a god and pray!" She plunged the sword straight down. The criminal was able to quickly move his head out of the way. The sword tore off his hood instead. Mariko's eyes went wide when she saw that the criminal was in fact, female. She wasn't able to see all of her facial features as a dagger scratched her cheek, making her turn away. Before she knew it the criminal had run away again.

---

The moon held its place high in the night sky, barely visible with the clouds layering over it. Mariko was exhausted from the wild chase earlier. The rain had seeped through the cracks of her armor which made her go home cold and sopping wet. The candle lights were on inside. Her partner was probably raiding the kitchen waiting for to get home and cook something for her.

When Mariko opened the door, the kitchen was already in ruins. Oats and breadcrumbs littered the floor, and chunks of various red meats covered the counters.

"Mariko! You're home late. I was starvin' here, y'know. I also needed someone to talk to. Some guy did some fortune-telling for me. It went something like 'Tomorrow's a bad day for you. Don't go outside' or some crap like that."

The knight sighed. "Doesn't mean you have to destroy half to house to find something to eat. Geez Miichan, not even the bounties on people's heads would get this fixed up." Said person just laughed it off while swinging around a chicken leg.

Mariko examined her. Thin streaks of blood and cuts painted her legs. Hands were clean of any grime. On her left hand sparkled a golden ring, now slimed over with chicken grease. Mariko looked at her own hand where she wore an identical ring.

Miichan spoke up. "Thinkin' about the weddin' already? We didn't get engaged too long ago."

"I guess I am. I mean, what would everyone think about... us?" Mariko began clearing the table of foodstuffs.

"The fact that were both girls?" Miichan guessed.

"Sort of. But that's not what I was thinking about. I'm the head of our village's knights, and you're a rogue who steals from street vendors for a living." The candles that kept the house lit flickered.
"I'm not the one who decided to house a wanted criminal and then decided to propose months after."

"I know. Not too mention your being suspected for being the runaway thief that steals the hearts of maidens. Literally." Lightning flashed from the storm that was still ongoing from before. The candles had died out leaving the two in complete darkness, save for the frequent flashes of light.

Miichan's face was slightly forlorn. She stood up to plant a kiss on the taller one's cheek, the cut no longer open. "Clearly you're really worried 'bout this. Let's call it a day. It's no use to worry about a weddin' when we haven't had a date set for it. You'll get cold feet."

"Alright. At least help clean up your pigsty before we hit the hay. We're going to have to stop by the market tomorrow morning."

"No way! You know by now that I get really hungry if I don't have your cooking. Call this your punishment for being late." The rogue left her with a smug look on her face. Mariko silently cursed her.

---

"Morning Mariko-sama. I rarely see you around here and I'm always working up front. I believe the last time I've talked to you was years ago when we were only kids!" While out and about running errands, Mariko stumbled upon a farmer's market she hasn't been to before. Takahashi Minami, the knight's childhood friend that she hasn't seen in ages, worked at the said market. Compared to Mariko her height made her look no older than 13 years old. "Make sure you keep your bride-to-be on a leash. I swear she's taken around two shipments of persimmons we got from Hakata. I would charge you for it but she probably steals your gold too." The midget greeted her with a toothy grin.

"Good to see you too, Takamina. Looks like you've grown a good two centimeters since I've last seen you." Mariko joked.

"I'm glad you noticed! Turns out drinking lots of milk does help you grow. Just so you know I'm standing tall at 148 centimeters!" Takamina was always the shortest person of any group. Looks like she still is but proud that she grew.

"Standing tall? Don't make me laugh. Anyway, Miichan completely raided our kitchen when I came late last night. Any chance you could get me a discount?"

"I always have discounts for family and friends. If you go out back one of my employees are taking storage. Tell her I sent ya. I've gotta watch the front else another shipment could be lost." Takamina flipped her a thumbs up. "And try not to cheat on the other Minami with her. I've had my eyes on her for a while and it'd be a shame to lose her to you."

Mariko looked at her with a sly grin. "Can't tell if you're joking about that or not, but I'll try not too." She winked.

"You better not!"

Walking out back, Mariko took note of how clean the alleys were compared to others she ran through while chasing criminals. The scent of grass wafted through the air, guiding her to where Takamina told her to go. Behind the market laid rows of boxes with different fruits, vegetables within them. Meat also hung from drying racks.

"Excuse me. Is there a staff worker here? Takamina sent me back here." She browsed through the produce thinking about what would be good for dinner.

"Ah, I'm right here! Sorry for the wait!" From behind a stack of durians, a girl just a little bit shorter than herself appeared. She held her hair in a ponytail wore a simple cotton apron over a white shirt and leather shorts. "I take it your a friend of Takahashi-san? You're much too tall to be related to her."

Mariko took one look at her and couldn't stop staring.

"Eh? Why are you staring at- Oh! You're looking at the durians aren't you? They're not too popular here so there's plenty of them!"

"O-oh, yes. T-totally. Big fan of durians." Mariko stammered. "L-love 'em so much I'd date one..."

"Really now? To bad I'm human... What a shame."

"E-eh? What? You mean you're into me..?"

"Pfft, I'm messing with you." The employee covered her mouth as she laughed. "I'm Maeda Atsuko."

"Atsuko, Atsuko, Atsuko... " Mariko repeatedly whispered her name to herself. "I'm Mariko. Shinoda Mariko."

"Shinoda? You're the leader of the knights that patrol this village aren't you. Besides that, you're here for the produce. Wait right here, I'll go grab a wagon for you." The knight watched as the employee left. She felt her face grow hot.

"...Holy shit I'm falling for her aren't I?"

Within five minutes Mariko got her cart and began filling it with various foods she knew Miichan would like. Maeda would help her haul the heavier crates. The taller girl had many thoughts racing in her mind.

I just got engaged, I shouldn't be thinking about this now! I even promised Takamina that I'd keep my hands off her!

A sudden slam of a wooden box snapped her back to reality. Before she knew it her cart had completely filled up.

"That's pretty much everything you'll need for the rest of the year. I don't know anyone who gets this much in trip." Maeda rubbed her arms. It looks like her arms are really sore.

"Thanks for the help. I wouldn't have to be here if my girlfriend doesn't eat like a pig." Hopefully she'll get the idea that I'm already taken. There's a lot going on for me right now, it's not good if something worse happened. With Mariko having a tough time with her job and worrying about her marriage, she can't bother with anything else.

"Girlfriend? Ah... Hopefully you're living happily with each other." Maeda showed a fake smile, but it was convincing enough for the other to believe it. "You have to pay up front. You can bring the wagon yourself, right?""

"Of course." Mariko replied. The employee already had her back turned.

---

Mariko couldn't have felt any worse. Under the night sky, Mariko patrolled the village pathways on her trusted pegasus. Soon it began to rain.

"First I failed to capture that wretched murderer, then Miichan destroys the kitchen, next I'm falling for a girl I just met before accidentally breaking her heart!" She paused for a second. "But honestly if I wasn't already engaged I'd choose that employee over Miichan..."

Her pegasus took her around the whole village. The duo looked around for any signs of suspicious activity. Almost all of the houses and establishments had their curtains closed. Only the tavern illuminated the dark pathways, with men going in and out either drunk or... just drunk. Everyone in there had a gay ol' time until one person threw another out the window. Then a fight broke out. Mariko had to barge in and calm the whole place down before other villagers woke up and made an even bigger mess.

"Would all of you shut up!? Everyone's already sleeping and I don't want to deal with anything right now!" She punched a few people who talked back at her. Eventually everyone cowered in fear of her and the knight smiled in pride.

Mariko continued to patrol. The farther away she got from the tavern the darker it got. She noticed a dim light coming from one of the alleyways before she heard a high pitched scream. Then a hooded person ran across the street towards the source of the sound. Taking action, Mariko got her rapier ready and cautiously approached the alley. Looking around the corner she saw the last person she wanted to see in a situation like this. Her own fiancé Minegishi Minami.

She had one gloved hand clutching a dagger that dug deep into someone's chest, the other supporting the now dead body.

Mariko's voice wavered. "Miichan?" Her face had a disgusted expression.

Said person turned around to look at the woman who called her, further confirming that it was indeed Minegishi.

"Mariko." Miichan looked at the corpse before turning back towards the knight. "Wait, Mariko, don't look at me like that. I can explain- Oof!"

Before she could say anything else Mariko knocked her into the ground. "Explain what? I didn't expect you to be the murder but everything I saw here proves it. The hood you're wearing, the gloves you have on, the fact that you were here at the crime scene. I just can't believe it."

They both looked at each other with disbelief in their eyes, before Mariko took off and left on her pegasus. The direction she went is the same way the market is.

---

"I screwed up didn't I? I swear I didn't do it. I was framed."

I've been on the ground for who knows how long? Long enough for me to talk to the female corpse that I had supposedly killed. I was only here because I heard her scream. The only reason I wore this hood and my gloves was because it started raining. Maybe I should have listened to that fortune-telling weirdo.

I think I was drunk, because I saw something weird happen in the sky. Some sort of shooting star exploded and different runes and symbols danced around. I must've been hallucinating too, because I swear I saw monsters plunge down to earth from those symbols.

When I realized that those were in fact real monsters, I quickly hopped back to my feet before running the same way that Mariko rode off to. Before I knew it one of those monsters began chasing me around the place. The only thing I had to defend my self was a dagger. Not much use if the thing chasing me had horns, which it did. I did the most idiotic thing I could've done at that moment which was to turn around and attack the beast head on.

"Awright ya horned demon, let's see what ya got! Chaaarge!"

A hard blow to my stomach and I was out cold.

It's been a couple of weeks or so since the last chapter, now I'm back with another!

@MaYukiIsLife Honestly SKE is my weakest group out of the four XP I'll try my best to add more of those pairs!
@teru-fi I've listed all of the pairings that I have planned on the first post. And I forgot to separate Sayaka from HKT  :nervous
@ChibiRine I have FuuMiru and SayaMilky planned for later chapters  :twothumbs
@_sheep_ It's hard to think of crack pairs because you can basically pair anyone with anyone :P
@luvsidney I'm not sure if I have Saeyaka as a pair, maybe I do  XD

Chapter 1 (Part 2)
*****

"Oh, Maeda. What are you doing here this early? You're not scheduled to work until tomorrow anyway." Takahashi was surprised to see her only employee working this early in the morning. The sun hadn't fully rose from the horizon. The other girl just smiled at her short boss.

"I doubt my parents are going to need me at this hour. Also, since I'm working more hours I'm expecting extra on my paycheck." She winked.

"Keep comin' in early and you might as well be my favorite worker."

Maeda laughed. "I'm your only employee!"

The two girls immediately started working around their somewhat small produce establishment. Atsuko set up the carts and shelves at the front of the store while Minami took inventory at the back. A couple of hours after the sun fully shone in the sky, they were open for business. The first person to stop by was the old mage who lived in the mountains forming the walls between Akihabara and Sakae.

"Morning, obasan!" Atsuko came out from behind a shelf of apples to greet the magic user.

"What? Obasan? I'll have you know I'm only 31!" The mage said with a playful tone. "Speaking about 31, I don't suppose you have that amount of dragon fruit, do you?"

The employee pointed toward the shelf containing the wanted fruit while offering to fetch it for the woman. At the same time Minami came out from the back to report the inventory.

"We've run low on watermelons. I might need to drop by the farms to pick some up." Minami said as she looked down onto a piece of paper.

"You can count on me to watch the place. I'm just helping a customer right now." Atsuko said from inside the produce shack where the counter is.

"A customer? This early?" The midget boss peered inside to see who it is. "Meetan, What a surprise!"

The customer turned around with a smile on her face. The two of them went for a hug.

"It's been a long while Takamina. Since when did you have such a beautiful employee working for you in this shabby place?"

Atsuko awkwardly stood behind the counter trying to add up the prices for 31 dragon fruits. She wasn't listening to anything the other two in the room were talking about.

"I've been wondering when you would finally visit after moving to such an isolated place like a mountain peak. How do you even get down from there? And just so you know she came up to me asking for a job." Minami had a ton of question for her old friend.

"After dropping that stupid hostess career I had the brilliant idea of learning the art of witchery. I just came buy because I need ingredients for this... thing I'm trying to conjure. Also you and that girl would be so cute together!"

"W-what? Ha! Like I would!" Minami yelled loud enough to seem aggressive, but tried to be quiet enough so that Maeda wouldn't hear (which she wasn't in the first place). Ohori had a face that shows she wasn't buying it.

With Minami stuttering and try really hard to come up with many different excuses to why she totally doesn't see Atsuko in that way, said person didn't have the patience to count up all the fruits and ended up not charging the mage for it.

"Here are your dragon fruits obasan." The mage came up to retrieve them, her eye slightly twitched when she mentioned a certain word. "Please come again!"

When Ohori left, Atsuko looked at her boss. Her whole face was red and she was panting hard.

"Are you still going to pick up those watermelons?"

"I'll do it some other day. I'm going to head home." With that the midget hung up her apron. "Watch the store for me. You can close up early if you want." A confused Maeda stayed behind as more customers came in the hot afternoon.

---

"One potato, two potatoes, three potatoes... More potatoes." Takahashi laid down on her shaggy alpaca fleece rug counting whatever she had around the house, and ended up counting potatoes.

"Urgh... My heart's beating too fast. I could've accidentally exposed my feelings for her. Maybe I did. This is to frustrating!" She scrambled around trying to get rid of her thoughts. In the process she flung a potato near an open window. Minami reluctantly stood up to retrieve the lonely potato. She bent down with her back instead of her knees. On the way up she was greeted by a figure with a dimple on each cheek leaning through the window.

"Hello~!"

It took Takahashi a while to grasp the situation before screaming and falling backwards onto her wooly carpet, killing some poor potatoes.

"Ha! Did I scare you?" The mysterious person is none other than the cheeky Yuko who lived uphill with sheep and thrived in the kingdom's unruly streets.

"You brat! You nearly gave me a heart attack." Minami threw a potato at the street rat, who happily caught it.

"Thanks for the snack." Yuko munched on the slightly squished food item.

"Why are you here anyway? Why not bother your girlfriend instead of me?" The shorter of the two asked.

"Haruna? Hang out with her? If only it was that simple. You know our situation, I'm a street kid and she's nobility. Never works out except in fairytales. The one time we passed the security to go make out in the woods ended up with my face on the wanted board."

"Sounds harsh."

There was awkward silence as Yuko kept nibbling on her potato.

Takahashi motioned for her to enter. "Why don't you come in here. I don't want the neighbors thinking I'm a weirdo when your rear is sticking out my window. Take a bath while you're at it, too."

"I was waiting for you to say that. You know how hot my butt is?" Yuko rolled inside, almost breaking the glass with her foot on the way. "You start the bath and I'll start stripping."

"As long as you get clean and I'm not getting in with you, it's fine by me."

---

"Yosh! Closing time!" It was almost pitch black outside when Maeda decided it was time to close shop. Street lights kept the streets lit as she locked the front door and the back area. "I wonder what's wrong with Takahashi-san, she's always working even after closing. What got into her?" She was about to cross the dirt road in front of her before being roughly pushed back by a man on a dark horse.

"You bastard! Get back here!" Guards yelled from behind. The employee stayed on the ground until all the horsemen had passed. One of those knights caught her eye, the woman who lead them from the front on a white horse. That thought didn't stay long though.

---

Takahashi sat alone again on her fluffy rug while the other person in the house took a bath. She reflected on her feelings for her fellow worker.

"It's just lust, not love. These feelings can't be anything more than that." She repeated these words over and over again to herself.

"You know, my relationship with Haruna is just lust too."

Minami jumped in surprise. "Oi, when did you get out of the bath? And you're still naked!"

"It's fine, I sleep naked. I'll be crashing here tonight."

"That's fine, but if you're going to be naked, be naked somewhere else!" Minami threw the potatoes that were still there from an hour ago.

"I get it, I get it! I'll be in your room then." With that the perverted girl left.

"...Is her relationship with Haruna the same as mine?"

The next day, Takahashi woke up on her alpaca rug. Yuko had already gone as she left a note behind. The sun blurred her vision, but that also meant the sun is rising. Realizing the time, she quickly got up and sprinted out the door to her little establishment hoping that Maeda is already there.

---

"There's a lot of people today Takahashi-san. You're better with that so I'll be taking inventory."

"Whatever works for you." Takahashi said as she put on her working apron. Both girls worked hard as the day passed by and the temperature slowly raised. One of Takahashi's childhood friends had passed by.

Atsuko watched the two from around the corner, trying really hard to listen to their conversation.

Wait a second, isn't she the girl I saw last night? The one on the white horse? Atsuko thought. Suddenly the knight began to go in her direction, but unaware that Maeda was there. The employee quickly returned to her position at the back of the store.

When Mariko called out for an employee, she immediately appeared.

She didn't know it either, but Atsuko was staring right back.

Oblivious to both of them, Takahashi spied on them until a customer called her over for help.

That damn liar. I gotta make my move soon. She thought.

---

Nighttime quickly approached and the last of their customers have already left. Both Minami and Atsuko pushed any leftover produce inside the shabby building of their shop.

"Good work today Maeda." Takahashi wiped the sweat off her brow. "I didn't expect this much people today."

"Me neither. I'm glad we pulled it off." The black-haired girl wiped her face with her green work apron.

"You know what, we've never had a proper meal to welcome you into the business. There's a wonderful diner down the street and I know the guy who runs it. What do you say? My treat!"

"You're treat, huh? If I'm not paying then I'll take you up on your offer."

Takamina mentally fist pumped. "Great! They make marvelous roasted duck and the way they grill their vegetables will make you drool!"

On the way to the diner, they passed Mariko who gave beatings to everyone in a tavern. Only Takahashi noticed that. Soon enough after a talk about squirrels and cats the dimly lit diner came into view. Both of them had katsudon instead of the aforementioned duck. Takahashi even had some shots of sake which brought out her inner feelings for the other girl.

"Saaay, Acchan,"

Hearing her nickname come out from her boss's mouth surprised her.

"I've never... seen you as my employee y'knoooow. I feel like you mean something more to me, yeah."

"Are you feeling well Takahashi-san?" Luckily we're the only ones around. Atsuko thought.

"Oh, drop the formalities! We've known each other long enough! Call me Minami... Or Takamina if you feel like it!" The drunken brunette swung her arm around the confused Maeda and leaned on her shoulder. "Listen, I have these feelings for ya... I like you, I love you, let's make out, let's have sex, I don't know!"

She turned Atsuko around so that they faced each other.

"I don't know what to call this feeling, but... I know that I want you to go out with me, so... will you?"

---

"I don't know what to call this feeling, but... I know that I want you to go out with me, so... will you?"

I had absolutely no idea how to reply to that. I'll admit she's a nice person, but there's no way I can go out with my boss! ...Or can I?

"I-uh, Takahashi-san. I know this is just the sake talking, but there's no better opportunity than this to say what I wanted to say. So, Takamina, I would be glad to-"

"DUCK!" I was cut off by Takahashi slamming full force onto me as a half-man half-bull creature bashed through the wall of the diner. She took the blow for me and was bleeding profusely. I don't know where but she was.

I couldn't speak or breathe as the beast slowly approached me. I would've been dead if it weren't for a knight coming in and slaying it. I didn't see who it was right away but her horse gave me a clue.

"Mariko?"

She had already cut off the monster's head. We both looked at each other. Tears ran down her face much like me. I'm not sure what happened but it's better if I hadn't asked. I tried to say something about my fallen partner. "Takamina! S-she's bleeding... I-I dunno i-if-"

"Save it, Atsuko. I've come here just for you, so it's best if we leave her."

"NO! No, we can't." I was grabbed roughly by my wrists and pulled onto her steed.

"Trust me when I say it's for the best. You have no idea what's going on out there. Best you can do is pray."

I would've said something but the horse had left the wooden hut. Demons of different types tried to pounce at us but were no match for Mariko's experienced swordsmanship. I saw a hooded figure being dragged away by a three-headed dog. He was struggling and kicking at one of the canine's heads. I tugged on Mariko's arm.

"That guy there is still alive. Maybe he can help us." She didn't say anything about it. She didn't even look back. I decided to just lean on her and try to sleep things off. If that's even possible.

---

My senses are blurred. I can feel my energy rapidly draining away. Where did that beast go? Where's Atsuko? Before me stood a brunette clad in armor, a white horse behind her. Could that be Mariko? No, that lying son of a bitch took off. Probably took Atsuko with her. I still can't tell who it is, but her horse has wings.

This is cool!

Mariko is a knight and Yuko is a shepherd?

Well anyways, it's really cool

Good luck!
No one but Yuko,
Can touch Haruna's body.
