Chapter 30It was late at night and normally this part of the apartment block would be silent but tonight was different. The lights to one of the dance studios were on and inside practicing were two members from the popular girl group Morning Musume.

Almost everyone had gone off after the practice three hours ago leaving Ai and Risa behind. This was the consequence of Risa being ordered sternly by the dance instructor to polish up her routine before practice the next day. Bidding Reina goodbye earlier, Ai had firmly decided to keep Risa company while she finished up.
“You alright Gaki? You seem a little out of it.”
Walking over to Risa who was packing up her stuff into the bag lying on the floor, Ai watched with concern at the girl who had blood-shot eyes and looked pretty tired.
“I’m fine. I think I need the restroom though.”
Risa avoided Ai’s eyes and made up an excuse to leave the studio. She needed to escape to the security of someplace secluded before she lost it.
“Sure, I’ll wait for you.”
Ai took Risa’s bag out of her hands as soon as she stood up and slung it over her right shoulder.
“I’ll be back in a bit.”
Giving Ai a small smile, Risa walked out of the studio towards the restroom that was just nearby.
With Risa gone, Ai’s mind drifted off to the events at the rehearsal earlier. Deep in thought as she was doing so, Ai was certain something was up with Risa as she kept missing steps the whole time.
She was worried that the instructor would point her out to give her a piece of her mind. And unfortunately that did happen.
As the minutes on the large mental clock in the studio ticked by, Risa still wasn’t back and the older girl began to get worried. Putting their things down onto the floor, she set out to find the youngest gokkie.
[By the Pool]
“Put your hand here. No….
here!”
Reina threw up her hands in exasperation. Tutoring Sayumi was like trying to teach a cow to do tricks. If that was even possible. Now she wondered how Ai could have accomplished getting Sayumi to understand their confusing dance steps so many times before.
A sense of newfound admiration filled her up for the girl she already adored as she compared flawless Ai to the clumsy girl lying next to her.
“My hand is here. Wait…. where’s here again?”
Sayumi slid her hand slowly down Reina’s thigh trying to find that specific spot that would get Eri excited. According to Reina, it was a surefire method and worked every single time.
“Not there,
HERE!!”
Grabbing Sayumi’s hand roughly, Reina slapped it down onto her own thigh a little more forcefully than she had planned. It stinged a little but it couldn’t be helped with the irritation that was growing with every second that passed.
“With your ability to follow instructions, I really wonder if you can operate machinery.”
Trying extremely hard to not yell at Sayumi took every ounce of Reina’s patience. They have been at it for about an hour and Sayumi didn’t look close to mastering the concept at all. Desperate to get the lesson over, Reina thought of a new idea that might hopefully do the trick.
“Let’s try to get into the mood here. Maybe
then it’ll work.”
“Okay. So what do we do?”
“We
strip.”
“If that’s what I have to do to learn this, so be it.”
Undoing the buttons on her outer coat, Sayumi paused a while and looked up at Reina to mutter something before going back to the rest of her buttons.
“You know, I can work a hairdryer just fine.”
