Kawaii~~! I really love 4th generation And while reading this fic I love those girls even more

Whew! I'm so glad you guys think this is cute and not corny! I'm never really sure how my stuff will turn out until it's finished, so sometimes it sounds stupid when I reread it to myself. The original closing line made me bang my head on the desk a few times... :doh:

Quote from: ChiruChaCha
lol, I liked this one, although I think I did see Tsuji or Kago do that to Yuko, but meh, who cares, It was cute anyways xD

What really? It's so hard to get my hands on footage like that.
Besides, this is really early on, they haven't really gotten past the fear yet. So maybe...

You'll just have to wait. Maybe she'll get jealous and go crazy. Maybe she won't have a reason to be jealous at all. Although Rika does seem like a flirt to me.

And now.... Another update! It's borderline angst and foreshadows big time. Mwahahahaha!

   It was 6:30 and there was still no sign of Nono; Aibon was beginning to get worried. I mean, the older girl may not have been responsible, but even she would have called to say she’d be late. Or at least her mother would have.

   Sensei was looking mighty pissed, but the other musume were starting to show signs of worry, leaning against the walls and fiddling with whatever they had in hand. Even the usually stoic Nakazawa was pacing and Maki wouldn't look up from studying her shoes. No one else really spoke; tension was thick in the room.

Kago wasn’t sure how much longer she could take this, but just as she was about to announce that she was going to get some air, the cause of everyone’s worry walked in.

Nono looked so awful, no one said a word, not even the angry instructor. Her hair was loose around her shoulders and appeared unbrushed. Her eyes were red and puffy with dark circles under them, like instead of sleeping, she had just cried all night. Which was probable.

“Sorry I’m late. Let’s get started.” was the listless greeting. What happened?

Kaori was the first to rush to her side, kneeling to look her in the eye, “What happened?” Kago mentally slapped her forehead.

Tsuji just shook her head, indicating that she didn’t want to talk about it. But Kaorin would not be denied; she placed one hand on the girl’s shoulder and the other on her chin, forcing her to look into her mentor’s eyes.

Whatever she saw there broke any resistance that she would have put up and tears flowed down her cheeks. Throwing her arms around Kaori’s shoulders and burying her face in the older girl’s neck, Tsuji sobbed that her beloved dog had been hit by a car and hadn’t made it through the night.

“Is that all?” Kago replied before she could think. She knew that the dog was important to her girlfriend, she was a little sad herself, but she had really thought something was the matter.

Unfortunately, that was definitely the wrong thing to say, as three hands slapped the top of her head in quick succession and Tsuji sobbed harder.

“Ow!” Aibon brought her hands up protectively, “I didn’t mean it like that!” she cried out to the room, wilting under the normally sweet Kaorin’s withering glare as she scooped Nono up into her arms and took her out into the hall.

“I’m surprised at you, Kago.” Yossui scolded before the other members could dig their claws into her, “That was really insensitive. Go apologize.” She ordered, pointing to the door as if there was anything else the younger girl could do.

Making a mad dash for the door, Aibon couldn’t get out fast enough. ‘Man, if looks could kill, I’d be one fried ant.’ She thought absently, hearing soft voices around the corner.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” she heard Kaori’s lower tone inquire gently. Kago pressed against the wall, peeking cautiously through a potted plant to see the tallest girl kneeling again in front of her girlfriend.

Tsuji nodded, tears not falling anymore, “Don’t be mad Kaorin. She didn’t mean it. She doesn’t mean to hurt me.”

“Has she done that before?” Kaori’s tone became higher when she was surprised, almost squeaking at the end.

She could see her friend fold under her mentor’s honest gaze, “Only once. But it’s just because she doesn’t always think before she speaks.” Nono was quick to say. “I do it sometimes. Haven’t you ever done that too?” Seeing the taller girl’s look, Kago knew that Tsuji had her, “Look. Don’t worry, Aibon will apologize as soon as she realizes what she’s done.”

The younger girl took that as her que to step around the corner, “Nono?” she half jogged closer, throwing her arms around the older girl’s neck, “I’m sorry I’m a jerk.” She was relieved when her hug was returned whole heartedly.

She knew that her girlfriend was making ‘I told ya so’ gestures to her mentor and trying to get her to leave them alone. She didn’t pull back until she heard Kaori walk down the hall.

The two stared at each other for a moment, before Aibon leaned forward to gently kiss away the remaining tears on her cheeks. “I’m really sorry. What I said was insensitive and stupid and cold and, and, and. I’m just sorry.” She couldn’t look her girlfriend in the eyes, shamed as she was.

“You heard me talking to Kaori, didn’t you?” the question surprised the younger girl, but she nodded. “Then you should know that I forgive you. I’ll be okay; it’s just been a rough night.”

They remained in the hall- and in each other’s arms- for a while, Tsuji letting her girlfriend’s warmth calm her, Kago thinking about how forgiving the older girl was when it came to her. If she had been anyone else, Aibon was sure that Nono wouldn’t speak to her for a couple days, if only to prove a point. But, the older girl had forgiven her before she’d even apologized.

She wasn’t entirely sure this was a good thing.

Putting it out of her mind, she grasped Nono’s hand and began to slowly lead her back to the dance room. They did have to practice after all.

Last update for a couple days. I'm getting lazy. :P

Yossui watched the tearful hugs shared backstage after the last concert of the tour. The new members had all been nervous, but everything had gone off without a hitch. The fourth gen was official and Sayaka was leaving. Kei and Yaguchi-san were the most affected, of course, crammed together in a ni-ki group hug.

It was kinda moving.

They hadn’t known each other long, but the graduate gave each of the yon-ki hugs and words of advice on surviving with the others and in the public eye.

Yossui was last in line and Sayaka stared at her a second, before pulling her close, “You should go after the things you want with no fear. She feels the same.” The last part was whispered, meant for the younger girl’s ears only.

To say that Yossui was surprised was an understatement, but she didn’t say a word about it, just smiled and wished Sayaka luck, fighting down a blush. Was she really so obvious? Jeez!

“I’m rooting for you all.” Were Sayaka’s closing words to the yon-ki, before the older members all went out for a special celebration. The four just stood around for a minute, looking around at each other, wondering what to do next. Tsuji moved first, snagging Kago by the arm and dragging her out the door, calling a farewell over her shoulder.

The room was still again, Yossui looking discreetly at Rika and catching her gaze. Both blushed.

“So, Yocchan. You want to go for dinner?” Rika’s bold question surprised both girls, but Yossui nodded. Food was good. Food with Rika was better.

They both headed toward the door, the older girl hesitantly latching onto Yossui’s arm. Something burst inside the younger girl’s chest at the movement and she leaned down to gently kiss Rika’s lips, savoring the moment before pulling back. Or at least trying to, the older girl had wrapped her arms around Yossui’s neck and deepened the kiss into something breathtaking.

It was sweet and loving and over all too soon for both of them, but they needed air sometime. Yossui was sure her face would split from the wide grin she knew she was wearing and she wondered absently how Rika could function with all the blood in her face.

There was silence while they just studied each other happily, then Yossui took her girlfriend’s- were they dating now?- hand and started walking out the door, “Well, what happened to dinner?”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Walking stealthily back to the hotel room she shared with Aibon, Nono was sure she would be caught. Hawaii was beautiful, but this competition thing wasn’t fair at all. Food was way too important to them to be used as punishment and she felt bad at seeing her girlfriend go hungry. So she had wrapped up half of her dinner in a fancy napkin and was in the process of brining it back up to Aibon.
Tiptoeing down the hallway like she was alerted everyone she passed that she was up to something. It wasn’t long before someone stopped her; “Tsuji!” the girl in question froze in her tracks, looking around frantically for a place to hide, but it was too late. “What the hell are you doing?” Nakazawa questioned, her hand coming down heavily upon the young girl’s shoulder.
Nono did the slow horror movie turn that the victim usually does just before they see their impending doom bearing down on them with a machete. There was no where to run and no time to scream when the woman took notice of the package Tsuji was holding.
“Midnight snack?” she offered weakly, pulling her precious cargo closer to her body.
“You wouldn’t happen to be taking that up to your roommate would you? You know, the one who only had bread for dinner?” The girl was silent. “You know that’s against the rules. So hand it over.” Nakazawa extended her hand, shaking it when Tsuji didn’t immediately comply.
Now looking vaguely like a mother protecting her baby, Nono shook her head, twisting her body to hide the napkin from the woman’s sight.
Slightly taken aback that the girl would defy her, Nakazawa narrowed her eyes, “I said give it!” her voice got the attention of a few more guests of the hotel who watched the foreign stand-off with interest.
Nono jumped slightly, but still shook her head; it seemed she would fight for her little bundle, “Nuh-uh!”
Nakazawa, thoroughly frustrated, made a grab for Tsuji’s arm, only to have the girl drop to the floor, her body wrapped around her package. “You would go this far, just for some food?” the woman asked incredulously.
The girl peeked one eye open, then, seeing that she wasn’t about to be assaulted, lifted her head to address Nakazawa, “It’s Aibon’s food.” she said petulantly.
The woman was silent, assessing Nono intensely, “You mean you’d go through all this trouble, breaking the rules and risking my wrath, just for food that’s not even yours?”
Tsuji nodded firmly, ignoring any consequences that might befall her. It was the truth after all. Nakazawa didn’t say anything for a moment, lost in thought. She raised her hand suddenly, making the girl flinch, but instead of smacking her, she patted her on the head, “I never saw you.” And then she turned and walked away.
Slightly confused, Nono remained in the hallway for a second, processing what had just happened. Then she smiled, she knew that Nakazawa was a softy, way down deep.
She cheerfully scampered down the hallway, intent on her mission. Finding herself at the door she fumbled with the keycard, finally opening the door to a brightly lit room. Charging inside, she saw a pile of Aibon on the bed, moaning slightly in hunger. Nono hopped up on the bed next to her, presenting her prize to her girlfriend happily.
The younger girl wasted no time in appeasing her growling stomach, pausing only to thank her girlfriend and to breathe. Tsuji watched her fondly, smiling at her enthusiasm, as if she didn’t eat the same way. A thought occurred to her.
‘Is this love?’ Was love being happy just watching Aibon eat? Was love wanting to be around her always? Tsuji wasn’t sure. Love always seemed like a fairy tale notion, being swept off your feet and charmed with roses and songs. Well, they were singers. Did that count?
Ugh. All this thinking was making her head hurt.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Hey.” Rika looked up from her sulking to the voice at her shoulder, to see a hand holding a tall glass filled with dark liquid. Her eyes followed the hand up a wrist and forearm, past an elbow and up a shoulder to rest on the smiling face of Ayumi Shibata. “I thought this might cheer you up.”

Nodding her thanks, Rika took the drink, sniffing it cautiously before taking a sip. It burned like fire down her throat and she coughed, “What is this?”

“Some mixed drink the Coconuts made, I think Lehua called it a ^Ti-Birdo^?” The older girl shrugged, taking a sip of her own drink.

Rika licked her lips, it was pretty good, once you got past the pain, but still, “What’s the drinking age in Hawaii?” she received another shrug in return. Oh well, it didn’t matter.

And a few hours later, nothing mattered. The two were laughing and talking like they had been friends for years and though their conversation made no sense to the sober, they had no trouble understanding each other and Rika extended an invitation to crash in her and Yossui’s room. It was accepted and the two stumbled through the deserted hallways, trying to keep their giggles under control.

They weren’t successful, but they didn’t seem to wake anyone. “What the hell?” well, except Yossui, but that was only because Rika couldn’t get the keycard to work. She said as much and got a sigh in return, “Did you try turning it around?”

“No.”

“…”

“Can we come in now?” Rika tilted slowly towards the wall, slumping against it. Yossui sighed again and moved to let them through, watching Ayumi trip over herself and collapse face first on the bed, laughing the whole while. Rika sat down at the mirror and looked over the things Yossui had bought with her prize money.

“I got you something.” The younger girl was suddenly right behind her, leaning over her shoulder to grab a small jewelry box and hand it to her. Rika opened it to see a simple heart shaped necklace with a small diamond in the center. “Do you like it?” the older girl realized she’d been staring.

“I love it. Oh Yocchan, that’s so sweet.” She tried to put it on, but couldn’t even get it out of the box in her state; Yossui laughed lightly and did it for her.

It looked good, dangling at her throat, maybe that’s why the younger girl leaned down to kiss it. She moaned quietly as Yossui kissed up her jaw to her ear, nibbling gently on the lobe. Movement from the bed reminded both of their guest and they pulled apart, breathing deeply.

Everything was silent as they watched Ayumi shift restlessly in her sleep, mumbling almost inaudibly. Rika tilted her head to look up at her girlfriend, “Maybe we should get some sleep?”

“Maybe.”

Neither moved for a moment, then they slowly trudged to the other bed, suddenly aware of their fatigue. Yossui crawled in first, lifting the blankets to allow Rika to snuggle up next to her.

 “When we go back home tomorrow, let’s go out for dinner.” The older girl suggested out of the blue. She heard a chuckle and an affirmative response before she happily drifted off to sleep.

---- By the way, the last two take place during the 'Is it Heaven!? Is it Hell!? Huge conflict battle in Hawaii!' special. It aired in 2000

The only thing that got to me about it was the crying, especially Kago's. And Mari. She's such a bitch and a crybaby. I was like, wow, that's so mean....

Edit: BTW I love Mari, don't get me wrong, but she was a little terror in Hawaii.

An update!

“You’re such a little player.” Nono laughed, poking her girlfriend’s shoulder.

Aibon grinned at her, adjusting her tie arrogantly, “I can’t help that the ladies love me.” She cried out when the older girl pulled her hat down over her eyes.

“Aibon’s mine!” a voice suddenly shouted before a tall figure latched itself to her side.

“No, mine!” a much smaller somebody attached itself to the girl’s other side. Kaori and Yaguchi playfully tugged on Aibon’s arms, making kissy faces towards her.

“You have to choose one of us!” Kaori shouted mock desperately, “It’s just not fair to do otherwise.”

“Ladies please.” Kago was trying hard to keep a straight face, but it just wasn’t happening, “There’s only one girl for me and that’s,” she spotted the hapless Maki walking by, trying not to be noticed, “Maki! Of course.” She lunged at the older girl, dragging Yaguchi with her, and held onto her waist. Maki patted her head, slightly nervous, aware of Tsuji’s death glare.

“Bah! Who needs you? I’ve got Nono!” Kaori said picking up the younger girl in a tight hug. You could almost hear the air escape her lungs but she giggled at her mentor anyway.

Kago felt a sudden jealous streak and knew she was glaring just as hard as Nono had earlier. “But I want Nono.” She whined, scampering over to push Kaori away from her girlfriend. Her senpai all laughed and said it was cute while Kago snuggled up to the older girl and leaned close to her ear, “You know I only love you.” She hadn’t said it since Nono’s birthday.

Remembering that day brought a smile to her face, Tanpopo was training hard for the second gen debut and Aibon had to work on the one day Tsuji had to celebrate. They’d made plans already and both were determined to see them through, but practice had run late and Kago ran frantically out of the dance hall only to see her girlfriend slumped outside the door, asleep.

The restaurant was closed, so they had ordered room service in their hotel and had their own little private party, complete with music and dancing. Later they collapsed on the bed in each others arms and shared those special words. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Still loosely embracing Nono, Aibon laid her head on the older girl’s shoulder, “I love you.” She repeated softly, feeling a finger trace down her spine.
