Although the system design is 100% confirmed, they said the controller has the possibility of changing. It DOES look like a space dildo...or something. Ah well, as long as it's comfortable?

Those getaway pics are rather amazing not just because of the quality, but also that developers have only had dev kits for about 2 months. This means that getaway3 was being ps2 developed and then the code was transfered to the ps3. The difference in quality between getaway2 screens and getaway3 is pretty amazing, 2 months is not much time for optimization.

forget about the device it self
cause the IC was made specially for PS3 so it price will hit the roof knowing that the design it self is one of the easiest step that they might have cause they might change it anytime they want

but about the componands :
there are some changes have been done witch it is hard to tell cause in the past two years they were developing the grafic IC so they made a big progress untill now
and that conclude a flaming prices when it reaches the markets

Seems that the E3 demo's werent played with the graphic chip of the ps3 at all. Full story in the link.

They should show us some gameplay footage rather than pre-rendered demo's

I read in a newspaper article that they're claiming the PS3 will be able to transfer the equivalent of 7 DVDs worth of data per second. I wonder if there'll actually be enough peripherals to use up all of those USB ports.

I've read from somewhere that blu-ray and hd-dvd are getting old already. Since Iomega or someother company (can't remember) has invented a dvd with the capacity of 800 gigs.... Thats a lot!...

Old news. Sony claims that everything they showed at E3 was legit, and none of it was pre-rendered. We'll just have to wait and see...until then though, I believe Sony.

Believing is hard with the gaming industry. They've been bullshitting us from time to time.
I want to believe but it's hard.
Sony has said that pre-rendered thing with some ps2 games and they turned out to look completely different.

I'll be dying of happiness once I actually get a ps3. (You'd think that means in the spirit of self-preservation that I'd not purchase one... but screw that. I'd shoot myself in the foot if I had to.) The graphics just blow me away, and I loved the ffvii intro. *sigh*
