I like watching the animate movies.  I saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs last weekend.  It wasn't bad but the 3-D glasses were annoying.  I hope they improve it because seeing doubles or shadows kinda ruins the experience :(  Tomorrow I'm going to see the Astro Boy movie.

Astro Boy was animated nicely, but I wasn't so thrilled with the story. 6.5/10 It's not something I'd consider getting on dvd/blu-ray.

just finished watching Repo! The Genetic Opera. what an amazing, quirky, freaky, kinda lame(in a good way) movie.
I recomend it.

Quote
Rambo V's Crazy Sci-Fi Man vs. Elite Soldier Plot is No More

A while back, Stallone announced that Rambo V was in the pipeline. It's plot was to take a decidedly sci-fi turn that previous Rambo films had not yet ventured towards. The film was to center around a US Military installation experimenting on its soldiers to "tap into [the] savagery that we have deeply embedded [inside] us." Basically, these elite soldiers are to become purely instinctual killing machines without a shred of regret, with nary a single qualm about taking a human life. Rambo was going to be the guy who'd have to bring one of these monstrosities down. The one hunting, instead of being hunted. And I was oh so excited! Those were the days! And those days are no more, at least for the Rambo series, that is. Here's what Sly himself had to say to his loyal fans over at StalloneZone regarding the change of plot for Rambo V:

To all the loyal SZoners out there,

I'm letting you know that Rambo has changed course and the story about hunting the man/beast will be done using another character in the lead. RAMBO himself will be heading over the border to a violent city where many young women have vanished.

There will be blood.

Welp, at least Sly hasn't thrown out that awesome creature-feature idea completely. It'll probably come to fruition as a more direct adaptation of Hunter, the novel by James Byron Huggins that the story was based on. And that means after The Expendables, we'll be seeing at least two more balls-out action movies from the legend. As for what Rambo V will be now, well, that's still up for speculation. From his quote, we know he'll be "heading over the border." But what border? Rambo goes to Canada?! Nah, probably not. Probably Mexico. And that's where he'll do what he does best: leave a massive body count in his wake. Awesome.

Couple movies I saw over the last month or so.

Inglourious Basterds - Seemed to be missing that certain something special  to me, but it still had that entertaining Tarantino style.

Moon - I heard some people say it was slow or whatever but holy crap! I thought it was amazing!!! Definitely a movie of the year contender.

I just watched Definitely, Maybe a couple of hours ago. While I dislike romantic comedies in general (since they're usually just atrociously terrible, and almost always predictable), I had to make this one an exception because the whole thing about a guy telling his daughter about his past (and SUPER unlucky) love life, and having her figure out who of the 3 girls he was involved with was her mother, I thought was just brilliant. However, I never did get around to seeing it since it was a romantic comedy... and I avoided those at all costs.

But I was bored a while ago, so I decided to watch it.

Needless to say, I was quite impressed! In fact, I love the movie to bits. The acting was fantastic, the subtle humor was great, the story flowed naturally, and the whole unpredictable-ness of the whole thing left a lasting impression on me. The movie's raw take on complicated relationships was fascinating; it's not really a question of whether or not someone will find love, as it is more of something along the lines of "Does love last?"

Oh, and I've got to say -- Ryan Reynolds and Isla Fisher have GREAT chemistry. They're so cute, lol.

Just saw 3:10 to Yuma, the remake. Batman VS the Gladiator

Was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it. Too many flaws in the plot.

The Deer Hunter: overrated.. the first part is waaaay too long. Then all of a sudden they are captured and you get the famous Russian roulette scene. After that, they escape within one minute.

Saturdaynight fever: much more depression as I remembered it. Travolta cracked me up a couple of times though.

The Princess and the Frog 8.5  out 10.  A couple friends and myself  went to go see the movie and we all enjoyed it. I love the music and the animation and almost cried towards the end. If any movie can get little kids out there seats and dancing (several of the parents was also dancing) than its a great  movie in my book.  :thumbup
