Fuck Hiro. There, I said it. I'm pissed off, what was my favourite character has suddenly became the most idiotic (a title I held for Mohinder). Opening the formula, pissing off Ando at every second not realising that this could lead to Ando's 'betrayal' and the final straw that broke the camel's back, fucking stabbing his best friend Ando without hesitation cause some bad guys told him to.

And not only that, there's continuity issues all over the show here. Hiro gets knocked out and loses Adam? Reverse time. No problem. Sylar can't hear HRG from a distance? Sylar's got super hearing since Season 1. Peter all of a sudden gets Sylar's power? What about the times he's been near Sylar in say, Season 1? Was Peter having an off day all of a sudden? And I don't know how many more times I have to hear HRG tell Claire he's doing it for his family.

They said Lost Season 2-3 was a case of writer's just thinking on their feet of the next episode ahead, no overall structure or anything like that. Heroes at the minute is just becoming so ridiculous.

you watch episode 6? Spoilers.

- hiro didn't really stab Ando.  He also met the african Precog.  That was a funny scene, when he went back 1 minute in the past =)  They've messed around with time travel though.  1, he can't go back in time to change things because the outcome will always be the same (they proved that in season one, when he tried to save the memory girl).  But!  2,Future Peter went back in time, but there was the butterfly effect, so everything changed... i thought things can't change cuz of #1? I dunno, but i dont' really care =P

- I'm fine with the continuity of tings.  It's not really based on real life, so i've accepted it.  Its been always like this since season 1.

- Can't believe Adam died.  Mr. Petrelli's power is he can steal them.

- Puppet guy was pretty creepy.  Kinda obvious what was gonna happen though, with shooting claire.

- What is Sylar doing to supress the hunger?  And why did Peter take Sylar's powers in the first place?
word.

Killing Adam was wack, they should have left him in that coffin

Anyways my biggest problem with the current season is that it has made me stop caring about my old favorite characters. Hiro has been one of my favorites since S1 but he needs to be killed off so there would no longer be time traveling. HRG has lost his swagger completely and dude hasn't done anything worth mentioning this season. Sylar has been reduced to a confused little boy who wants to be loved. Elle has changed for worse too but she is barely getting any screen time anyways. Elle and Claire are pretty much the only characters I don't wanna see killed off but that's only because I like the actresses :P

The latest episode is nothing special but it does have lots of sweet female bonding between Elle & Claire

:thumbsup
- Elle is back!
- Female bonding between Claire & Elle.
- Maya is gone!
- Parkman actually used his ability.

- Milo's acting is getting worse in every episode. He might be the worst actor on TV at the moment.
- Sylar & Peter switching sides in every episode.
- Elle vs. Claire catfight was lame.

Episode #8 preview

And why did Peter take Sylar's powers in the first place?

Because the writers are dumb? :P

I really don't get why Claire thinks her powers are broke just because she can't feel any pain. She seemed pretty happy about Elle's electrifying her not having any effect.

Also, this has been bothering me since the start of the new season, but apparently Hiro and Maya has the ability to improve their English over time. All of a sudden Hiro went from "flying man" to complete sentences and random comic references...

- What is Sylar doing to supress the hunger?  And why did Peter take Sylar's powers in the first place?

Theories says it's a lot of strong will and meditation. And Peter took his powers to understand the future he was in and how he could change the outcome of it. Obviously that didn't work out.

Hiro has been making comic references since the first episode, and even in that same season his English improved a lot.
We can also say because they are "special" beings they can learn languages faster than normal >_>.
Or even better, the script "decided" they could speak proper English now ¬_¬

Big Shakeup Behind the Heroes Scenes

Variety says there was a big shakeup behind the scenes of NBC's "Heroes" on Sunday as writers/co-executive producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb were fired.

The duo had been with the show since its first season and were known to have led the day-to-day production operation under the direction of creator/executive producer Tim Kring.

"Heroes," produced by Universal Media Studios, has struggled in the ratings its third season. It's understood that Alexander and Loeb were let go because of NBC executives' frustration with the creative direction of the show.

The trade added that the show is also said to have been dealing with hefty budget overruns this season that are going well beyond its already sizable $4 million per-episode pricetag.

They never explained how Maya's English got better but Hiro's English improved during the first season when he spent a few months in the past trying to save that waitress chick. Anyways Heroes has the most inconsistent writers ever

Hiro's & Ando's Japanese have also improved a lot, and I know don't need to read the subtitles to my wife.. (They were both dubbed into proper Japanese for the 1st season DVD release here... not sure about the 2nd season, or even if it's out)

Hiro (Masi Oka.. マシ・オカ..his Japanese name is written in Katakana now, and not Kanji), said on an interview here, that he was asked to speak strange Japanese and not fluently, because Ando (Korean) couldn't match it, and would sound very wrong if one was fluent and the other wasn't..
Ando's Japanese has now improved enough, that Hiro can now speak kinda normal..

I would be interested to read script drafts that were rejected by either NBC or the "Executive Producers" of the show.  It seems to me when a certain American TV show becomes popular and trendy the people in charge begin to fuck with what made it good in the first place.

I haven't watched an episode since the conclusion of Season 2 and I'm very grateful for all the updates here because I can't imagine spending any time with characters that I actually cared for a year ago.  Characters whose lives are in the hands of TV executives whose creative output is limited to the number of toppings ordered at Star*ucks for their sugar-loaded "coffee" beverage.

Lemme know there's an edit put together of scenes with only Kristen Bell.  Thanks!

Based on Masa's review of ep07 I downloaded it, watch I think a total of 5 minutes of it, and am back to hibernation... Man this is not interesting at all! Kirstens character started to look interesting and now? She can't control it anymore?? Needs to hold hands in the airplane?? Bleeh.

Ok so after Episode 06, Hiro's not a complete tard. I thought the shovel scenes were nice comic relief. But does anyone actually care for Mohinder's story? I haven't seen a positive outlook on it from fans.

I really hate "let's rewrite the history" kind of episodes and the latest episode of Heroes is no exception. Easily the worst episode of the season so far. I hope the Haitian comes back and kills everybody :P

:thumbsup

- well.... the dude with metal arms was kinda cool

- The episode was booooooring, I almost stopped watching after 10 minutes.
- They basically rewrote the characters of Sylar, Elle & Angela.
- Flint is a retarded hillbilly.
- Sylar's hunger, that shit was introduced two seasons too late.
- Hiro is the slowest motherfucker ever despite the fact that he can teleport. Dude just freezes whenever something bad is about to happen.
- Elle has completely lost her S2 swagger. I guess the current writers never even saw the 2nd season.
- Every scene with Elle & Sylar made me cringe in pain.
- Arthur, Angela and Lindermann were on some soap opera bullshit.
- How the fuck did Arthur manage to kill a guy who can see the future?

Episode #9 'It's Coming' preview

If this show doesn't improve soon then cancellation is the only thing that's coming

Bit of a disappointment S3 has been for me so far. The thing I used to love in S1 was how grounded these people were. Despite the powers of flight, strength, stopping time, these people still had to pay the bills, save a failing marriage and these people were unique. Now in S3 it seems everyone has a power running around in this chaotic world full of superpowered villians with the normal people completely oblivious to what's going on around them. To me, Heroes should be more personal, what does their power mean to each of them, how it changes them, and how they decide to use those powers, and less of the secret company plotting world destruction stuff. Instead it has turned into a "what if?" drama. The incessant time travel also takes away any feeling of consequence. Just feels like the writers are making it up as they go along.

I'll still continue to watch it, I just personally don't like to see the show go down this route.

Man, I haven't watched any eps since the first 2 for this season.
I could always download them, but I'm just not feeling it anymore.

there was a dude with metal arms?  Dang, i didn't even notice.  Then again, i wasn't really paying attention.  The "Villains" title was pretty cool, how you saw the symbol and it turned red.

I think Heroes lost its appeal.

I'll still watch it though.

Well, at least they're gonna talk about the eclipse now. I always wondered about that.

Watched the Villains episode last night. Some good moments in there, mostly the throwbacks to the 1st season, but I was so annoyed with how Elle's character was treated.  Now apparently, so I was lead to believe from past episodes anyway, she grew up a nutjob during childhood. And then suddenly, a year ago, she was a super happy, super caring, super sane, superbunny. Then, five months after that, she was back to being psychotic without any idea of social norms or behaviour? How random.

And I should have seen it coming, but now the blue flame guy is also a distant relation? Claire's gonna find out that she and Ando have the same great-great grandfather's sister's 2nd cousin at this rate.

As for Arthur killing Usutu, perhaps like Isaac, he decided he was going to accept his fate if it leads to the greater good. Maybe? Here's hoping, otherwise that's yet another plot hole in this season.

It's possible Usutu was too occupied with Hiro and thus didn't paint anything during that interval.

Touche.  That's exactly where the creativity on this program appears to be going these days.
