On another note, almost 20kg of Rika goodies arrived at my doorstep today! I had to get the delivery man to bring it in for me 'cause it was so heavy

HA-PI~!!! I went on a shopping spree at Yahoo Japan Auctions last month xD (Holy cow, shipping kills... cost more than the products themselves >.<). I've always been a bit of a passive fan with my other fandoms (except with Yamapi

), but trying really hard here to be a good Rika fan.

Yeah for sure. Yahoo Japan Auctions for an outsider is a money-sucking DEVIL. But I'm counting this as a one time thing. I'm a new fan so this is the only place I can get a lot of the stuff ^_^

Are you asking about eBay or Yahoo Japan Auctions? There's not much you can get off eBay. Mostly photobooks and some photos, but that's usually about it. I think you have to have paypal - I'm not sure though. It's easy. If you have a credit card or a debit card (for a personal bank account), it's just a matter of linking it to your paypal account. Paypal is a lifesaver! I've done most of my internet transactions via it.

If you want to buy stuff (and there's a LOT of stuff) off Yahoo Japan Auctions, you need a Japanese bank account if I'm not mistaken. So what most of us who don't live in Japan do is we get a third party service to do all the work for us, and we just have to pay them service fees, commission and shipping fees. I've been dealing with an individual who lives in Japan. He needs the money to continue studying there, his fees are low and I find the personal email exchanges a LOT better and quicker than trying to communicate with a whole company. Overall, it's quite expensive to get stuff off here (though the products may be cheap!) because of all the extraneous fees. But it's worth it.
