“Kobe’s reputation is such that most everybody’s staying down on his pump-fakes, not getting up in the air,” Jackson said. “He just has to get his shot back in order so that he’s taking a shot, not worrying about getting guys up off the floor, trying to create a [free-throw] situation for himself.” WERD!

Congrats on Phillip for reupping for 2 more years!!

WHAT a comeback tonite! Holy shit, how 'bout that Sasha coming up BIG. He had a good game in that choke-loss vs the Nets. Bench doing aight!

Now if they could just take a game on the road. -_-

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has a sprained left index finger and is day to day, the team said Thursday.

James underwent an MRI at the Cleveland Clinic in Toronto, which confirmed the sprain. The team said he will be a game-time decision for Friday night's game in Toronto against the Raptors.

James hurt his finger in the second quarter of Wednesday's 109-74 loss to Detroit. He did not respond to a few questions as he walked to the team bus after the game carrying a pizza.

Is LeBron wussing out?
Its a sprained finger on his non-shooting hand, and he's goes all prima donna over it, now being listed day to day because it.
If he doesn't play, then the Cavs sink, since he is all the Cavs have.
Thats what happens when you're just a one trick pony, which is what the Cavs are.

Shit!! Ron Jeremy is really making Magic down in Orlando. (is that the proper use, L?)

Tough loss, choking that one away in the fourth.

Kobe?? Looking for Kobe?

And DAMN. Tim Duncan got hurt. Wonder how the xray results will come out.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The New York Knicks still won't rule out Stephon Marbury for Wednesday night's game against the New Jersey Nets, and now the status of Eddy Curry is in question after he sprained his ankle.

Marbury wasn't at the day's shootaround, three days after his father died during the Knicks' home loss to Phoenix. Coach Isiah Thomas said he wouldn't know his starting point guard's plans until later in the day.

"That would be his choice," Thomas said. "If he felt that he was able to play emotionally, then we would let him play."

Curry sprained his left ankle while running during the morning shootaround. The Knicks probably won't know if their starting center will be available until shortly before the game.

If Marbury does travel to New Jersey, Thomas would let him decide if he wanted to play. Don Marbury's funeral is Thursday morning in Brooklyn.

"Different people handle things differently and dealing with death, it's just a very emotional time," Thomas said. "Everybody handles it a little differently and you just have to give people enough time to go through their grieving process, however short or long that may be."

Kobe plays with the flu. Kobe gets his shoulder bruised. Kobe comes back and WINS IT 111-107 over the Nuggets. Even AI got more cajones than Lebron. 51 for him. "We absorbed a lot of points from Iverson," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "He got our whole team in foul trouble."

Oooh what's this shit about Jason Kidd wanting out of NJ? Jigga's gonna get the migraine.

I saw the Lakers-Nuggets game last night too.  Iverson went classic AI and caught fire during the first 3 quarters dropping 49... it was fun to watch.  Then the Lakers D stepped up only allowing him 2pts in the 4th and LA went home with the win.  :)

The season began with trade speculation swirling around Kobe Bryant, Jermaine O'Neal, Shawn Marion and Andrei Kirilenko.

The list now stretches to include a fifth major name, with Jason Kidd's future making us wonder.

Our first five questions (and answers) about what's next for No. 5:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Suns got beat by another bottom of the barrel team, T'Wolves.
They had already got beat by the Hawks early in the season. XD
Now thats fucking embarrassing for them.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson signed a two-year contract extension Wednesday believed to be worth about $24 million, keeping him on the bench through the 2009-10 season.

The Hall of Fame coach had previously announced the extension Nov. 30.

"Nobody has been more successful from the sideline in the history of this game than Phil and his record obviously speaks for itself," general manager Mitch Kupchak said. "We're excited to have a coach of his experience, stature and ability leading this team for the foreseeable future."

The 62-year-old Jackson signed a five-year, $30 million contract with the Lakers in June 1999, and coached them to three championships before they lost to San Antonio in the Western Conference semifinals in 2003 and were beaten by Detroit in the NBA finals in 2004.

Jackson and the team parted ways in June 2004, and he took a year off before signing a three-year, $30 million contract -- the richest deal for an NBA coach -- in June 2005.

"I enjoy working with the players and staff of this team, as well as the management and ownership," Jackson said Wednesday in a statement.

He and late Boston Celtics coach Red Auerbach each have earned a record nine championship rings as a head coach. Jackson guided the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls to six titles in the 1990s before taking a year off from coaching and then joining the Lakers before the 1999-2000 season.
