KOBE = MVP because he is just lifting this team on his shoulders, making crappy nobodies into somebodies.

what about L. Odom who has 19 pts, 10 Rebs, 9 Ast?!  Kobe is not a superman

agreed, if u r saying making crappy nobodies into somebodies, thats more like Lamar Odom's job since he is making most of the plays and kobe just jack up a 3s (kobe right now is more like iverson before he learned to pass) kobe is getting too much credit on the lakers because he scores a lot?! that doesn't make him a good player

Couldn't agree more.  Kobe is just a immature ball hog now just like AI years ago.

If you call Kobe a ball hog, why not T-Mac as well? :P

There you go. The fact Lamar is among the tops in assists among forwards is the reason why Kobe the facilitator, the go-to-guy makes Lamar into a star. The triangle has been tough on him but the glass has opened up a lot. Kobe gets double, triple teamed every game yet calmly pulls wins out of his ass or as in a recent Pacer game, opened up the floor for others to make the easy basket.

and btw...

Yo scrock7 + kaede feel free to tell us your Favorite SPORTS? Teams? Players? Always good to see some red blooded sports fans in here as this is the horniest forum alive.  We like smack talk down here (as ytl, Tette, and Thimas can atest) so let's hear ur smack. And it seems there are more Kobe/Laker haters so it's gonna be fuckin fun. :D

Favorite SPORTS? Teams? Players?

I love SPORTS...basketball, soccer, tennis, Ice-Hockey....etc.  I think the only sport that I'm not interested at all is curling.  I would say basketball is my favorite sport because of MJ.  MJ is my all-time favorite sport player.  Pistons is my favorite team for the last few years since R. Wallace joined the team.  Among the active players, i like V. Carter, T.Mac, Wade, Yao...damn there are so many...btw...i'm not a Kobe hater...i do think he is an amazing player...but i don't think he is a good team player and i don't think he deserves to be the MVP yet...he takes way too many shots a game and it doesn't make any good for his teammates...that just my opinion...no offense :)

OFF TOPIC:  I'm a big time Rika's fan and i really miss your previous avatar...don't get me wrong...i like your new avatar but i just like the previous one better.

T-Mac right now... HAHAHA.. i don't even consider him as an all-star anymore, few years ago when he knew the meaning of penetration, he was an all-star to me, right now.. he just brings the ball down... take a three.. no one rebounds... back on D.... to tell you the truth, i think T-mac/few other players on rockets have been an obstacle in the growth of Yao Ming (who was supposed to have a bust out last yr? and also supposely this yr), I mean i remember the Phoenix game... Mr. Boris 6'8 Diaw was on Yao Ming down in the post... ummm wait... Wesley/Head?! took the ball down, Yao Ming posting up against Boris 6'8 Diaw... O WAIT! GENIUS TEAMMATES thought taking a 3-pt is better than passing the ball to Yao Ming for him to dunk on Boris Diaw!!!... and Yao Ming wasn't even double teamed CUZ THEY DON'T HAVE TO!!! CUZ THEY DON'T PASS HIM THE BALL!!!!!! anyways... Houston is so messed up at the moment...

Well u can probably tell i am crazy about basketball ha.. also watch a lot of "American" Football not the sissy soccer, and sometimes baseball. Favorite player? umm, can't think of one but i can tell you many active player whom i hate in many sports... example Vince "overratedcantplaydefensewatsoever" Carter, Tom Brady and of course all the Michigan Wolverines players...

btw... if jackson really want to run the triangle offense, i would tell him to consider trading odom cuz he doesn't really fit in there (even though he is a good player) kobe-odom-walton, i would prob go for that trio but... again odom doesn't really fit in there, and not really a Kobe hater, i just like shaq more if i have to choose between them... a team needs shaq more than kobe, thats all

Hahaha... its so funny cuz I feel the exact same way!

About Carter... I might be biased here cuz I live in Toronto, but anyone who follows Raptors basketball last year knows just how big of a pussy he is and the shit he brings on the court.

When he was still playin with the Raps, he NEVER gave it his 100%, he would NEVER give a fuck if his team win or loses just as long as he gets his fuckin cheque, and he would NEVER drive to the hole cuz if someone lays even a finger on him, he would've been out for 4-6weeks due to a fracture ankle or some other bullshit. All part of the reason why the homecourt fans boo'd him in Toronto before the trade.

The sport analysis from TSN, The Score, Sportsnet, and other sport broadcasting channels all agreed that he needed to step up and fulfill the leader position of the team.  But what does he do? Hides behind his mom from the media... literally.

======================
BTW... my fav. player: Kobe. :)

Carter: "I can't shoot, i have a paper cut on my shooting hand"

and yeah, i "kinda" just ending kobe's season in my NBA live franchise... i was playing an exhibition game... and he kinda tore his torso or ACL? and my LeBron dunked on him...  :halo: (well don't worry, its not real life... "yet..." kekeke....)

tearing ACL in basketball sounds brutal

Is Shaq still hurt? He isn't playing like his old self.

well the thng with heat is that

Shaq is still playing somewat decent well, just that everyone is taking more shots in game.. so shaq daddy doesn't score that much anymore

Shaq - about 12 FG attempt in a game (dropped from 15 last yr)
Walker - jacks up about 15 3-pter in a game (makes only 1.. just about)
Haslem - takes about 5-10 shots per game
Posey - takes about 5-10 shots, mostly 3-pointers
J Williams - average 11 attempts per game
Wade - about 20 attempts per game
Payton - about 5-8 attemps per game
Mourning - 3-5 attempts
-----------
shaq doesn't have that many chances to shoot in a game anymore so his #s goes down a little, but he is just da shaq daddy who dunks on everyone

and also... he still cant make his free throws :P

Word. Bout damn time there's passionate sports fans. Different opinions are good...Kobe drives me crazy too but its good to have him on your team 8)

(the new Rika avatar is to match my upcoming sig..just gotta get it back from the shop, plus I thought this had more volume. :P)

I just managed to install NBA Live 2004 and gotta get used to the camera angles lol.

Shaq is being "saved" for the playoffs. He ain't the same but given 40 + minutes he'll deliver. He just paces himself during the season. And he's on my NBA Fantasy Team

OH MAN!! Finley with the clutch free throws. Spurs pull another one outta the ass against Bogut's Bucks.

and Antonio Davis almost pulled a Ron Artest, he jumped into the crowd but no fight.

protecting his family from Chicago hecklers...oh boy, former Rap is gonna get it good.

jeeez 2004?!... i didn't like that yr too much since its like the first year they started with the "more" realistic NBA game from the Live 2003 "Arcade"... there was a lot of flaws especially the unstoppable jump stop they got..

well right not i am playing 2006, still not happy about a lot of the game features but i am still a NBA Live Fan regardlessly

in my franchise, i have played past the all-star games... and my fantasy drafted Cleveland Cavaliers is about to play Detriot Pistons back-to-back end of february

GODDAMNED Mini Me and The Kings nailed a shitload of 3's towards ... the end. fuck. Lamar fouled out. Kobe's 50+ no good. Lakers lose 118-109.

The dude in the stands with Antonio Davis' wife actually says SHE was the aggressor LOL. Saw the guy on Sportscentre and he sounded like a figure skater. Yeah, AD got 5 games. A formality for the Players Union Prez. hahaha.

Yeah 2004 :P I have an old computer. 2004 isn't so much different to 2003 that's for sure. I like the arcade slamming mode but don't have the joystick for their freestyle mode.

I was playing with one of my buddy on PS2 (NBA Live 2003)... it was an epical game.... Washington vs. Knicks (MJ, Hughes, Hamilton) I was down by 20 with the wizards and my friend was dunking the crap outta me with Othella Harrington.... 104-104, 3 seconds left in the 4th quarter, tie game, MJ passes it in to Christian Lattener.... HITS the 18 foot jump shot!!! 106-104, Wizards win!! (MJ, Hughes, Hamilton all had over 20 points)

I got so pissed a Jahidi White in that game that i benched him for 3 quarters... he gets beat on every play.. then Kwame Brown saved my ass with his athleticism....
