There is already a rumor of a minialbum coming in the fall. Given how SM has been incessant in pushing out SNSD promotions the general consensus of Korean fans is that another minialbum in latter half is more likely than not. SM probably is working on the new concept right this moment anyway. And yes reportedly most of SM's other acts are all eagerly in queue to comeback in sequence after RDR promotion ends.

I think most fans would like the girls to have a decent long break after the Asia Tour and work on individual activities. But it's never our ideal wishes but market forces that drive SM to drive the girls. So at this point we can say another comeback later this year is likely but there are many factors that can change the course of things. We can probably get a better idea after we see how the other SM artists' promotions fare in the coming days. It's really best for everyone if other SM artists can achieve daebak promotions this year.

I kinda want some of them to get acting jobs later this year but maybe not now . But I don't mind this much. Fall is still far away.

I'm selfish coz I don't want SJ to have a comeback this year. They'd ruin the girls' chance of winning a daesang ai the Golden Disk. I doubt they could win in digital again.

I assume they sign a new contract when they debut adding more years? Otherwise, say the contract is 10yrs, Jess & Hyo's(?) would need renewing this year...

The contract's term length didn't start until they debuted. That's part of the reason why the contracts are so slavish, SM loses tons of money on undebuted trainees, and I suspect the f(x) girls didn't train as long: waiting for 7-year trainees again like with SNSD probably already cost SM too much since for every Jessica, Sooyoung, and Hyoyeon there are probably scores of trainees that started with them but didn't make the cut, which means NO RETURNS on that debt.

You can't put a contract on a trainee since technically, you're not making money, they're not making money, and they're not being promoted. Also, this is the reason why so many people who debut under Pledis, DSP, JYP, YG, and many others, were former SM trainees.
I was surprised that LSM/SME debuted Eff of Ex to be honest. I mean, compared to everyone else's training length, they had a short one. Then agian, maybe it's the girls of SNSD that are the outliers because if I remember correctly... members of HOT, Shinhwa, Fly To the Sky, BoA (who trained for two years only), Super Junior, CSJH, and DBSK had short training periods.
Heh, I sometimes wonder why they kept some of these trainees for so long and why the girls really waited that long. I guess BoA really did have an impact on why they chose SM...

! I don't think they let Sunny do commercials like these anymore... Not since she dropped that one mini computer thing they once promoted... What was it called again?

Also, I HOPE they do something this fall. Mini-album, single, album, ANYTHING. Why? Cuz if i they do something around August or September...... I WILL GET ME SOME WELL DESERVED BOA+SNSD MOMENTS!

I would also like to see them in some Drama's/Movies (even if SM does totally suck at the timing and picking of them) SJ wouldn't ruin their chances. Big Bang full album would be tough. I think Oh! has already sold a lot better than people expected, but I don't really sweat awards too much with all the crap they won already. lol

Didn't Sorry Sorry sell like 300k or something? Sales like that would ruin their chance of winning a disk daesang. The girls only won last year in digital because Gee was such a big hit, but now they're back to the old SM trait of not-so-stellar digital sales (still very good, muc better than most but not as spectacular as their CD sales). And other acts from other companies tend to do better in digital. Their only chance seems to be the CD sales which wil probably lose to the big boybands.

By the way, I heard before that training at SM wasn't free? Like people kept saying that these girls had to be somewhat rich to be trained at SM. Or is it different with 'training at SM' and 'be an SM trainee'?

^ We know Leeteuk had to have a part-time job while training. I bet SM doesn't pay for dorming for the out-of-town trainees either.
At any rate, I know that the top trainees probably pay for private lessons beyond the group classes, like with Hyoyeon and Winners Dance School, because she's the only SNSD member to be listed as official alumni there, although SNSD as a group is listed under "people WDS has worked with", which was a separate category. So the "boys' dance class" that Hyo was put in is a different thing from WDS.

Now that you brought that up, I remember seeing this acting school website listing Yuri as one of their students who got accepted into universities, so they still do have training outside SM. So, exactly what kind of training does SM give the girls these days? I imagine at least singing lessons?
