So Atmosphere released a new album, and to promote it they made this thing where you can tag up any page on the internet, so I tagged up jphip.

I'm not a tagger or do graffiti so it's not that great, but it was fun. And you can listen to a stream of some tracks while doing it.

Wale reveals details of 'Seinfeld' mixtape

First Harlem rapper Cam'Ron proclaimed his love for Curb Your Enthusiasm, now this: Late next month, Washington, D.C. up-and-comer Wale plans to release The Mixtape About Nothing, an entire set of hip-hop cuts inspired by Seinfeld. (Check out a preview of the mixtape's cover art at left.) "I think I've seen every episode, like, 30 times," Wale said when EW.com called him at the NYC studio of producer Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen) yesterday. Wale says he's particularly partial to the show's controversial 1997-98 swan song. "The last season is very underrated. A lot of Seinfeld fans be like, 'Oh, the last season is so over-the-top.' I'm like, it's about reinventing!"

Wale played us an early snippet of a song called "Hype" over the phone. The meditation on celebrity opens with a lengthy sample from one of Jerry Seinfeld's Season 7 stand-up monologues: "I love it when people are complimented on something they're wearing, and they accept the compliment as if it was about them..." Wale also exclusively revealed to EW.com that his team recently convinced Seinfeld alum Julia Louis-Dreyfus to record a brief skit (or "drop") for the mixtape. "She’s not [in character as] Elaine — she’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus," explains Wale, who hasn't had a chance to hear the skit yet. "It's something crazy, something comical." (Louis-Dreyfus' reps did not reply to requests for comment.) No word yet on whether Wale's tunes inspired the actress to break into that notorious "Elaine dance"...

UPDATE: Julia Louis-Dreyfus replies via email: "Wale is my favorite artist because he's the only one who ever included me in a mixtape -- hear that, P. Diddy?”

^ Nice!  thx!

edit:  about 1/3 the way through.  I love the feel of this album from what i've heard so far.  Beats are different, i like it.  Dang that other guy sounds like Ghostface.

Edit 2:  Hehe, i've read reviews, and they all hate Digi Snacks =P  Me personally, i still like the feel of the album.  This is actually my first Bobby Digital album.

You Cant Stop Me Now, now I know where i remember that sample.  King Geedorah/MF DOOM - Anti Matter

^ SHIT. dope mix bra....the sweet nujabes mix is TIGHT. You gots to be a feature artist on HiP HoP Hizzy sometime. ( which airs in 35 min )

and mad Props Mocha for Limited Time Only. I ROFL at how Clinton Sparks got shafted, and then Kardi busts out the Three's Company. So proud of him, hope he blows UP. dunno how Dangerous is doing states wise, the song sounds like Akon feat. Kardi. Here's dem at Much:

I'm digging Digi snax myself. he even got the same singer from - she was WACK, but best Wu album I heard all year. I cop all Bobby Digital discs and I'm fo sho copping this one son!

Kardi has endless bars! The song he did with DJ Jazzy Jeff on the Return of the Magnificent was great.

I really want to click that link to d/l Digi Snax, but after hearing some of the songs on the HiP HoP Hizzy, I'm probably gonna go and buy it, Bobby Digital seemed to go from Surround Sound to HD Radio now

Yeah, I've been enjoying their new album too lately.  It's weird, because I thought they were supposed to have fallen off.  Yet, as it turns out, they've released one of their better albums of the 2000s.  Juicy J & DJ Paul have improved as MCs, and this might be my favorite productions by them since Da Unbreakables as a whole album goes.

Some of my friends have been wanting me to put together a mixtape of Gemini (she also goes by "t") for awhile now so I thought I'd share the mixtape I put together with everyone on here.

I've been a fan of her work since she was 17 (back in '98), and she has become a better MC and singer over the years.  She's
a black American/Korean artist, but you'll only find her work in Korean shops at the moment.

I put this mixtape together using most of her albums (group & solo projects) along with some rarer compilations I blew the dust off of for use in the mixtape.  I kept this more English friendly, but there are a few tracks where I was really feelin' how she was flowin' in Korean so I kept that on here too.  It's mostly hip-hop tracks, but I purposely added some of her more r&b oriented tracks for variety.

Anyway, enjoy.
