Man, I just realized that OB4CL2 was originally announced around the same time as JPH!P was founded. Here's an article about the album from March 2005:
Quote
Busta Rhymes To Executive Produce Raekwon’s Album

Busta Rhymes is planning a pair of rap returns – his own and that of rapper Raekwon. The Flipmode leader said he has jumped on to executive produce the Wu Tang Clan member’s upcoming album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Part Two. “As of right now [I’m doing it], absolutely,” he told AllHipHop.com. “We always had a great relationship creatively. It just got to a point where Rae wanted to reach outside of the Wu family to mesh and vibe with other Hip-Hop n***as that he respects. And with the Rza’s blessing, I was able to contribute what I thought would be great for Rae. I’m a big Rae fan. The Cuban Linx album is one of the best albums put together ever.” The pair collaborated on Busta’s Anarchy LP on a song called “The Heist.”

As a sequel to Rae’s 1995 classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, he said that it is imperative that the Wu founder has a role in the opus. “I didn’t want to be involved with it without Rza’s blessing, because it can’t happen with our Rza’s involvement. All I’m trying to do is reestablish that sound [from Only Built 4 Cuban Linx].” Busta said that, through the course of putting his own album together, he’s been offered tracks that were more conducive to Raekwon’s style and he passed them along.

In the meantime, he said Rae’s classics have kept him motivated in a Hip-Hip era that’s not reflective of his past. “I keep certain classics around me for inspiration when I feel I ain’t getting it from what n***as are putting out right now.” The Long Island representative is also prepping his own album called The Big Bang, his debut on Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Records and he said that the organization is where his creative heart lies.

“None of the labels that I’ve been on prior to Aftermath have been able to nourish or support the music that I’m able to make now,” Busta said. Finally, he revealed that he would be party to Dr. Dre’s anticipated album, Detox. None of the three albums have a firm release date.

It's sure been a long time coming. Seriously, I still can't believe that the album is coming out in 7 days :shocked

No 'Walk Wit Me'? :huhuh

1st impressions about Cuban Linx 2

01. Return Of The North Star: A classic intro!
02. House Of Flying Daggers: Still as dope as ever!
03. Sonny's Missing: Grimy ass underground shit. Rae's lyrics are as sharp as ever!
04. Pyrex Vision: Real laid back shit but WTF?! This song is only 55 seconds long :O
05. Cold Outside: OH SHIT! Starts with a dope ass kung fu sample! The chorus is soulful as fuck! The beat is as crazy as New Wu & HOFD! Ghost killed his verse. Amazing fucking song!
06. Black Mozart: Another great kung fu sample. RZA be on some raw Godfather shit. Now this is how mafia rap is supposed to sound like! Deck killed his verse, I dunno wtf RZA is babbling about at the end. He sounds like a crackhead XD
07. Gihad: Weakest song so far but it ain't bad. I love Ghost's crazy R-rated verse.
08. New Wu: BONG!
09. Penitentiary: Vintage Ghost & Rae! The beat bangs so hard I wanna punch people in the face!
10. Baggin Crack: Rae's spitting hard but I ain't feeling the beat. I will prolly end up skipping this song in the future.
11. Surgical Gloves: SUPERCHARGED KANGOLS! Goddaaaaamn! Sick ass flow + sick ass beat = CRACK MUSIC
12. Broken Safety: Awwwww shit! OB4CL2 is already one of the grimiest albums I have heard in years. Nothing but raw shit! Diggin' Jada's verse, Styles be kinda weak.  Ps. FUCK BLUEPRINT 3!
13. Canal Street: Jebus Christ! This beat is PHAT as fuck! Soulful yet grimy. Rae you magnificent bastard!
14. Ason Jones: Dilla got that soul! R.I.P. Dilla! R.I.P. ODB!
15. Have Mercy: Blue Raspberry is back! Sounds mad dark and depressing. Perfect for Beans :yep:
16. 10 Bricks: Blow killed the doctor! Still dope :yep:
17. Fat Lady Sings: Another short ass song. Not bad but coulda been left out.
18. Catalina: Ehhhh.... sounds out of place. Pretty much every beat has been soulful so far but this is some G-Unit shit.
19. We Will Rob You: Rick The Ruler! Dumb chorus lol. Vintage beat straight from the 90's! GZA
20. About Me: Maybe Dre didn't fall off after all. This is much harder and soulful than Catalina. Busta's verse is aight.
21. Mean Streets: POWERFUL MUSIC! Sounds like a sequel to Cold Outside. Deck's verse is rrrrrraw! Ghost is still that dude :twothumbs
22. Kiss The Ring: AAAAAAAAAH!!!!!! THEM OTHER RAPPERS BETTER KISS RAE'S RING! THE KING IS BACK!

Whooooooooo! It's 2AM and I feel like baggin' crack and punching people in the nuts! I still can't believe Cuban Linx 2 is here. Fuck, what's even more amazing is that the album didn't fucking disappoint :shocked

I will drop a more coherent review later XD

First listen.  I didn't listen to any leaked tracks or snippets, just the songs with videos (minus walk with me)

Intro - Makes me really anticipate what's about to come
House of Flying Daggers - Dope, we all know this already
Sonny's Missing - Sick, nice storytelling
Pyrex Vision - This is chill.  55 seconds? Dang
Cold Outside - Dope. I felt this track.
Black Mozart - I like Deck featured tracks.  Beat is so... i can't define it but i love it
Gihad - hahah, you think Ghost's verse is a true story? =D hahah, too funny
New Wu - Its that symbol again, that W
Penitentiary - Rae and Ghost trading words.  Dope
Baggin Crack - ...this is weak to me. If the beat is weak, i find it hard to listen to lyrics. Sounds like Rae is rapping from his bathroom.
Surgical Gloves - Sick
Broken Safety - Dope. Not feeling the 3rd verse
Canal Street - not my thing.
Ason Jones - now this is what i like.  Dilla's Believe in God track + Rae + ODB lyrics = dope.
Have Mercy - Dope, wasn't expecting this
10 bricks - oooooo fuck!  So simple, yet so effective.
Fat Lady Sings - meh
Catalina - i never really liked dre beats, to be honest.  this is a skip for me.
We Will Rob You - GZA, Masta Killa and Slick Rick? Sick.  But We Will We Will Rob You? =\
About Me - Dre's 'signature' piano and stabs... i don't really see why people love Dre so much.
Mean Streets - This got my attention.  Dope track
Kiss The Ring - Dope, nice way to end

Its a dope album, and doesn't disappoint. There's a few tracks i didn't like, but overall its a banger!
word.

Just finished BP3 on Rhapsody and thoughts are:

It is a bad idea to hope that BP3 would be like BP1 or BP2. Its 2009, not 2001 or 2002. Jay is at a different part of his life and things have changed. With that being said, I am split over it, maybe not as much as Masa is but split none the less. DOA, Run This Town, Empire State of Mind, Thank You and Already Home are tracks I would highlight as the good ones. Everything else is hit or miss. Its just that I felt like Jay just doesn't feel as motivated as he did in previous albums. Sure he is at a point in a career that not many in music in general has reached so he doesn't need to sound as hungry. So its like I am left feeling satisfied by the good songs. But the songs that dont match up as well left as big of an impression as the good ones. It feels like its lacking in parts. But the songs that I would listen to again would be worth buying the album. But I prolly wont listen to the other tracks.

So I guess I am torn as well

As far as sequels go, Cuban Linx 2 shits all over The Blueprint 3. I have always liked Jigga more than Rae as an MC but shit, he could never drop anything as raw as Cuban Linx 2 :yep:

Damn, it feels good to be a hip hop fan right now! :yep:

Ghostface has once again reminded me why he's one of my all time favorite MCs :theking

They found a two year old, strangled to death
With a "Love Daddy" shirt on in a bag on the top of the steps
Police blowing n****z, NARCs and judges
Me and son had beef, I had to murk him, we supposed to be brothers
Cause he came home fronting, feeling like that I owe him something
Cause I'm getting money, drive a little something something
Renee got AIDS, with five kids smoked out
House is brick, bills haven't been paid in days
A Brooklyn man's a molestor, court case and the crime's raising
SWAT stickers on the church, they Satan
Holiday season is here and I'm vexed
Who the fuck made Christmas up? I'm fucking broke, it ain't making no sense
Newports are $7.50, a box of Huggies is off the meat rack
She's back, thirty days, she relapsed
Our troops need to leave Iraq
And rap n****z need to go on strike so we can get more cash
Cause...

Damn! That's verse of the year material right there

Leather jackets on, rocked up rock stars
Treacherous bank robbers, the plan go dub, we pop guards
The team gotta eat, seeds is hungry, that's why we ain't scared
To dump on n****s, our guns is chunky
Usually we bust n****s down with bats, swell up they joints
Elbow, wrists, they shins get cracked
We still humiliate, brutalize, Ruger pop, pulverize
Still got gear in the closet, that's stupid live
From Benetton rugby skullies, Oshkosh conductor jumpers
The train hats fit me lovely
Rae job is to make sure the coke is fluffy
While I politic his birthday bash with Puffy
Bagged Nia soon as I linked up, the kid ain't inked up
I'm an old mummy, my gold weigh as much as King Tut (yeah, yeah)
Slippers, robes is minked up, under the doorag, bro (uh, yo, yo)
My three dimensional fade is clean cut

Yeah, yo, I lit a boogah up, rocks is gone, so we bagging up all shape
Binocolurs, scanners, we all listen to jake
Ran out of baggies, my mouth is dry
Got them dirty joints all scattered, don't act surprised
Nah, n**** the currency rushes like popping a wheelie
Holding a pipe with one hand, the other down in the Bentleys
You know how it be with the peppermint Clarks, throwing darts at a hoodrat
Getting slow neck up in The Bronx
That's all me, thirty four shines, forty four lines
I just chill like Aaron Hall, writing raw rhymes
Like, threw Kool-Aid rubies in a lemonade bezzle
When I was 12 in the church, I started packing that metal
A deuce deuce, my supplier was Loose Bruce
Ever since I had the drop, my instinct was to shoot-shoot
This ain't For the Love of Ray J, it's for the love of the AK
Cuz you can get scratched like AJ
Cuban Link Dynasty has emerged, this rap shit stop
I have a team of n****s moving my furs

Aiyo, jumping out of Benz wagons, my family live in the Hill
They call us Bin Ladens, laughing, turbaned up
heterosexual n****s get murdered up, these streets is like radio beef
So watch how the kid turn it up
Bulletproof tuxes, knuckle games is clobbering busters
Eighteen n****s is bringing the ruckus
Flame throwers on our backs and shoulders, the rusty joints still work
The trey eight'll blow one of your doujas
When it's mad, he the mad calm, walk around
Gold collect, 36, so before G bomb
My inner strength flowing, I mastered chi kung
Ya'll Planet of the Apes, standing next to King Kong
Forensic file, ultraviolet hype, sky blue Bales
Laying n****s like ceramic tile
I'm like Urlacher, beasting at the top of the pile
Kneeing n****s in the nuts, n****, damn I'm foul

Yo, but on the other side of town it's Toney, laid up
This white chick wanna gargle my nuts
I put the Bailey's down, tap the blunt out, grabbed her by her hair
Watch blondie love whip my dick out
Spit dripping down my balls, she slobbing me
That's right, suck that dick, get it hard for me
Pyrex in one hand, large amount of grams and it rocked up
And she pregnant, my little man got her knocked up
He popped up (oh shit), I'm like a crooked cop
Richard Gere, big smirk on, getting my cock sucked
He pulled the joint out, a bullet spun out, but it was too late
Already nutted on the side of her mouth
Side of her face, and hair like Something About Mary
I can't front, my son gun look scary, chill
She's a whore, you knew it from the time we ran trains on her
And you still went and fucked her raw
Come on, son, give me the gun, you gon' kill me over this
Bum ass bitch, you can't resist
Remember Vel had her in the telly, taking the fist
Watch how you aiming that shit, you should be aiming at Trish
She take a bone like a rib-eye steak, your loose Christ'
Yo, be easy on the trigger, son, you squeezing the fifth
I only did it just to show you, she's the easiest bitch
He came close, had to duff him, n****, give me that shit

[Outro: Ghostface Killah]
Fuck a gun, muthafucka, I dare
Pull a fucking gun on me again, n****
I blow your little balls off
Go to store and get me a fucking forty
Before I smack the shit out you, man
Word up, while you at it, yo
Go in the freezer, get a steak, man
For your eye, n****, word up
Put some bologna on your face or something, n****
Make sure my forty cold too, when you bring it back
When you get back, bag the shit up, n****
Word up, I don't give a fuck if you 25, n****
You my son, n****, word up, that's why I let you slide, n****
Word, get you a forty too, and a pacifier, n****
And a bib and a diaper...

The best storyteller ever! And the outro is classic Ghost
