MR. KARDINAL OFFISHALL!!
Brings his Canadian Tour to Edmonton's Capital Ex carnival on July 23, 2010.... it's been 4 years since I caught one of his shows, he's been to town probably 2 times but at sold out radio events. This one being his return to his roots (now that he's a big time Konvict member) to those free shows (with gate admission).

The set started off with the banger "Clear" warming up the crowd TO THE LEFT! and TO THE RIGHT! Kardi was dressed slick in a gray suit and jacket. The front stage area was jam packed with fangirls left over from Karl Wolf opener (lame ass R&B singer) so got some wack ass pix at first:
Testing out everyone's hip hop knowledge Kardi dropped a rendition of Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock "It Takes Two" and a few old school jams like HiP HoP Hooray then BLLLAAOWW!! Everyday Rudebwoy
OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH!!!He did some MC bits with his HYPE man, Silver - "Who smoking dat blunts!! SHES SMOKINg DAT BAD WEED" Kardi showing his versatility with the R&B crooning of course segue ways into MARY JANE CLUB BANGER! originally with Sean Paul and Jully Black. A few medleys of Konvict guest appearances and then old school version of "Tide is High" to his version "Number One"
Then he gave props to Michael Jackson, pulled out three crazy fans and got them to dance like MJ, all wack - one just shaking her ass wtf lol - white dude who did handstands "won" and Kardi went into
A few R&B "DJ D.O.C." demonstrations (run down of Top 40 hits) and Silver song...fools started to leave so got to get closer to the stage HA!
BLACK JAYS N KONVICT 4 LIFE!! best part of the show....

Solid block of Kardi old school hits "Northern Touch" "Bakardi Slang" "Old Time Killing"
Then his new shit got everyone finally jumping with "Body Bounce" and "Dangerous" !!

Compared to the last show I saw in 2006, not as intimiate (telling us to raise one finger for peace, this time it was for Michel Jackson but still lol. and no autograph session....but Kardi still ever The Showman, sweating up a storm with a mic, a live band, a HYPE man and 2 turntables. Best Canadian Rapper period and for $12 admission fee beats the Drake show for 72 bucks the next day.
