That shit sounds like Eminem's last album.

Its a good song, but feels like it was supposed to be on recovery or something. Em has 2 verses, and its a Dre song? Dre's verse kinda sucked as well.
Personally, i hope its not on Detox.

Big ups to Alex Da Kid, though. He's producing hits these days. Airplanes, Love the Way You Lie, Words I never said, and I need a doctor is gonna blow up now too.

POST #1200 DEDICATED TO 1200 TECHNIQUES
An unfortunately short-lived hip hop group from Australia that released two albums early in the past decade, blending smooth rhymes with turntablist beats and live guitar licks. I bought their second album when I visited Australia in 2004...still plan on getting their first someday.

A great article about Lupe's recent struggles:
http://blogs.suntimes.com/music/2011/03/lupe_fiasco_does_what_hes_told.html

"I was specifically told" -- Fiasco chuckled -- "'Don't rap too deep on this record.'" He laughed some more. "That was a specific order from the top. 'You're rapping too fast or too slow, or it's too complex.' ... There are consequences and combat that comes from that process and the eventual compromise. With me, though, I'm not writing about someone else. I'm writing about me. This is my life. It's very personal for me. So for somebody to kind of put their fingers in that and play with that, it becomes more damaging."

Fucking major labels :smhid

You can't ask Lupe to dumb it down, yo!

^ Funny story about that song. He showed that song with in a previous version to Atlantic but they told him to dumb it down. What did Lupe do? Took "Dumb it Down" and just inserted it into the hooks

Back in 98, XXL gathers around 200 or so big figureheads in hip hop to recreate Esquire's 1958 cover with jazz artists but with a hip hop twist.
