So I watched Smackdown for the first time in about a year~

I gotta say the biggest improvement is JBL as an announcer. He tells it like it is, and he's fuckin hilarious. My god I HATE Michael Cole. I missed the battle royal openner match, and the Lashley vs Helms match =(

Lol, did anyone else notice all the fuckin camera angle changes during the Pitbulls match vs Funaki and Scotty? I liked it, but it was a little TOO much, they changed it after every 3 seconds when they didn't need to.

Well, since I saw it on Thrusday cause I live in Canada, I don't really remember anything else that happened worth talking about.

I missed a lot wrestling the past year too ... thank you hockey and basketball playoffs.

I'm the opposite of u shi!! I think Cena is wack cuz he's a wack rapper! XDD I do like DX and what they're doing. Triple H is ALWAYS cool. Spitting water in the air. You  should see the part this week when he was talking to that big boobs girl Canace and mustard was flying XDD

watch here:

I did watch Smackdown too this week at least. WHOOPS SPOILERS And Batista was "wild animal" with the stairs and chair. What, couldn't they used an invisible forklift so he could Batista Bomb Mark Henry. :)

nWo 4 LIFE! I forgot the hand gesture else I woulda done more of it in the World Tour Dokyu :lmao:

TOOOO SWEEEEEETT!!

I watched Smackdown last week. I haven't watched any wrestling in such a while, I just found recently that ECW is on regularly. It's weird to watch 'cause there're all these new people I don't know, and even some old people(Scotty 2 Hotty and Tatanka. wtf?) It's kinda cool to see DX again, but I think they're too old to be actin like that. The shit with the old Vince clip was funny as hell though. I haven't been able to see the ECW show yet, but is it like how it used to be, or is it just like a WWE show with ECW guys?

Don't know if people weren't interested or jsut didn't notice, but I can still upload the NOAH DVD I have. Can I put it up on the tracker,(it may kinda be out of place), the Asshole, or here?

Yep it's pretty much like WWE presents ECW.

Here's Lance Storm's comments on the new ECW.

Quote
"What can I say about ECW, other than I’m really glad I turned down the contract they offered me. I considered it very seriously when Dreamer contacted me early this year. I loved my old ECW days and working with Tommy and Paul again had a lot of appeal. In hindsight though this isn’t ECW one more time, it’s WWECW a completely new entity and more than anything else just a third WWE brand. This isn’t to say it will be a bad brand just not ECW like it once was. For those of you out there who like the new product I propose you start the chant We-C-Dub so as not to destroy the legacy of the original E-C-DUB, because this really has little to do with the Original product."

Tonights show is going to have Ric Flair Vs. The Big Show.
WTF, man....

Much as I like JBL+MC (reminds me how long its been without a strong heel color commentator), I still liked Tazz+MC more.  Those guys were great together, and really gave big matches that big match feel.  Plus they could call technical matches very well.  I'll reserve judgement on JBL+MC until they call a couple big PPVs.

They do that to disguise sloppy spots.  When a move is done that doesn't really hit, they change angles quickly so the viewer doesn't notice.  It hightens the perception of impact.  This is one of the big differences between how modern WWE PPVs/TV shows are produced and how video production worked in old-school-WWF (where missed moves were shown straight on, looking very lame) and Japan (where the best wrestlers work stiff and really hit most of their moves).

Really? I can't remember the last time Cole or Tazz actually CALLED a match like JR does. I hate how Cole always looks on the brightside and sticks up for the lamest shit i.e Vito's current gimmick.

Oh I know that they do this to hide sloppy moves, but iono if you SAW the match, but it wasn't necessary at all and I'm not joking when it was literally changed every 3 seconds. I know they change the camera angles when a move looks sloppy, but like they would even do it during a pin or a sleeper hold. It was really wierd.

lol, i was watching TNA Impact on Saturday and it was funny when the James Gang (Billy Gunn, Road Dogg - Don't know their TNA names - I don't watch TNA often) came out and the crowd started chanting "DX REJECTS"

these goes back to creative though. there are times when coach does better than Joey Styles + JR and anyone else... styles and jr have been doing it for so long, you'd think they would be able to write/say some of their own stuff. But I guess they are scared that another "Miz" incident will happen. Which is why normally instead of saying SHUT UP JR. SHUT UP COLE!. I just tune in to jph!p radio. now. :D

Press Release Issued About WWE In Canada

Date Added: July 19, 2006
Story By: Feras Ballout
WWE(R)s Monday Night RAW(TM) comes to The Score in August 2006

The Score now proud home of WWE's flagship show and new WWE programming

TORONTO, July 19 /CNW/ - The Score Television Network (TSX:SCR) has solidified its reputation as "the home for the hardcore" now that it has added World Wrestling Entertainment's "Monday Night RAW" to its programming roster on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET starting August 7, 2006 (repeats at 12:30 a.m. ET - 9:30 p.m. PT).

The move of RAW to The Score Television Network is part of a multi-faceted agreement that also calls for The Score to introduce a new WWE program in Canada which will air prime-time Sundays evenings, and that moves WWE's popular SmackDown(R) program, currently the No. 1 program on The Score, from Thursdays to Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET (repeats at 12:00 a.m. ET - 9:00 p.m. PT), beginning August 11.

"The Score is truly the home for the hardcore now that we've united the RAW and SmackDown properties on the same channel, and introduced our new WWE program," said David Errington, Senior Vice President and General Manager, The Score Television Network. "The Score caters to sports fans with unique viewing demands. We're delighted to be providing our loyal viewers with content that they identify with. We are looking to duplicate the same success that the USA Network experienced last fall when they acquired Monday Night RAW, by moving the No. 1 rated program on specialty television in Canada, Monday Night Raw, from TSN to The Score."

"We believe that this move will be a great one for our fans," said WWE Canada President, Carl DeMarco. "RAW will be seen by our fans each and every Monday night and this was a significant factor for WWE in making the decision to place RAW on The Score," he concluded.

To further underscore the new partnership, The Score will also broadcast "The Sexiest Woman on TV," The WWE Diva Search Finals on Wednesday, August 16, at 9:00 p.m. ET. This is the finale of the 2006 "$250,000 Diva Search," which marks the first time that this competition has been open to Canadians, and 2 of the final 8 contestants are Canadian - Maryse Ouellet from New Brunswick and Milena Roucka from British Columbia.

WWE Canada will be responsible for the selling of the commercial inventory with all WWE TV properties. As well, WWE Canada offers advertisers and corporate partners the ability to secure sponsorships/advertising within Pay Per Views, WWE Live Events, Magazines, and Online.
