Okay, people, here's a terribly, unconnecting, wrong grammar, horribly written chapter. I'm still not in my right mind after a long trip but I wanted to get this out so... yeah. I think it still makes sense

Chapter 40 “Move it, weirdo!”
The girl yelled as she pushed Sayumi out of the classroom, and briskly walked away. The bunny threw a death glare at the one who had pushed her and then sighed. She had been sticking her head out of the classroom and looking around after the bell had rung, signaling the end of class. She was looking for any signs of an ambush, a sudden hug or a “Hey, Usa-chan!” or “Shige-san, Ohayou~”. But nothing had come.
The black-haired girl sighed once more before slowly walking down the hallway. While gliding across the hall, her eyes continued to shift around, looking for signs of the panda. But nothing stood out again. It was just a normal day, where clusters of girls gathered around in cliques, chatting and eating snacks.
Had Junjun really forgotten about her? Was Sayumi really “free”, like the yankii leader had said? Even though the bunny had only won the race because opponent fell… she really had nothing to do with the gang anymore?
And why was Sayumi even wondering about such things? Shouldn’t she be happy that she was finally free of the panda’s grasp? It’s such simple logic; she had won the challenge, therefore earning her liberty. That was a good thing; it was
supposed to be a good thing.
So why did she feel so empty inside? Junjun and Aika and Linlin had always been there, ever since she transferred into Morning Gakuen. Perhaps for that reason, Sayumi felt that a big chunk of her life was suddenly gone. There was a hole in her memories, and things were too quiet and unusually austere.
As she continued to walk down the hall, the bunny started to notice that it was getting louder and louder. Girls were squealing and saying greetings brightly at the coming figures while waving and smiling. Sayumi stopped dead in her tracks as she realized the people walking towards her.
Junjun was in the middle, as always, nodding and winking at the girls that she passed by. Aika was playing with her camera again while Linlin was waving at everybody she passed by as though two hands weren’t enough to send her love and greetings. The surrounding girls were trying to seem as pretty as possible, flipping their hair flirtatiously and giggling nervously. All Sayumi could do was watch, as her body froze all over. She watched the three girls approach her, walking closer and closer towards her, until Junjun’s eyes finally shifted to her. Sayumi couldn’t read the panda’s expression; she just seemed… normal. Then, the yankii leader smiled and winked at her, just like she did to the other girls.
“Ohayou,” she said, lifting her hand. With that, she walked right past the bunny with Aika and Linlin trailing behind. The two under girls sent nervous glances towards her, but decided not to say anything.
Sayumi stood very still, her eyes wide open. It really was over. Junjun was treating her just like any other girl and wasn’t teasing her anymore. She had kept her promise.
No. This wasn’t right, this didn’t feel right at all. No, no, no, this couldn’t be happening. Sayumi whipped around and quickly dashed after the panda and grabbed her arm.
“Matte!” she yelled, her eyes showing desperation.
Junjun turned around and smiled. “Yes?” she asked. That smile. It wasn’t genuine, like it used to be. It was a mask, a convenient tool to use in order to appear friendly to everyone. It was fake, a lie. No, no, no, Sayumi didn’t want this kind of treatment. She could hear the other girls whispering behind her, talking shit about the “new girl” and how dare she grab Junjun that way. But Sayumi always knew she was selfish and she was going to stay selfish. Especially when it came to Junjun’s attention.
“You…” she started, as the hallway got silent, “that… that’s it?”
“What do you mean?” the yankii leader questioned, still with that fake smile.
“It’s… over? Just like that?” Sayumi whispered, blinking furiously to hold back the tears.
“I’m not really sure what you’re trying to say, I’m sorry,” Junjun laughed. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I really need to get going. Aika. Linlin.”
“W-wait!”
As Junjun turned around to leave, the bunny grabbed her arm again. But instead of being pulled back, Junjun pulled Sayumi towards herself and put her lips to her ear. The other students who were watching gasped and started to whisper furiously once more.
“You’re drawing a crowd, Usa-chan,” Junjun whispered coldly. “At this rate, you’ll be hated even more in this school, if that’s even possible.”
“How could you…” Sayumi mumbled, unable to finish the sentence.
How could you end it so quickly? “You’re the one who wanted to be let go,” Junjun continued, “and I gave you what you wanted. Since your wish came true, I’d appreciate it if you leave me alone now and get rid of any false pretenses you have about our relationship. It’s annoying.”
Sayumi gasped as her eyes widened. Was this truly the person she had been with for the past couple months? The Junjun she knew was comical, unserious, yet warm and compassionate. This kind of cold attitude, such a distant atmosphere… it couldn’t be Junjun…
The yankii leader backed away as she combed her finger through the bunny’s hair. She smiled that fake smile once more and held up her hand.
“There was a fuzz ball in your hair,” the panda chuckled. The observing students sighed a breath of relief all around. “Well, I’ll see you girls around.”
Junjun turned around and started to walk away. Aika and Linlin hesitated for a little while before quickly following after their leader.
“Is it really okay like this, Jun-senpai?” Aika carefully asked.
“It’s fine,” Junjun said in a low voice.
“Shige-san seems really upset though,” Linlin mumbled.
“It just means we’ve been around her for too long; she’s too used to us,” Junjun answered. “With time, she’ll be glad to be uninvolved with delinquents like us.”
I’ll let her go, even if I have to shake her off… because that’s love. Meanwhile, Sayumi stayed frozen in place, her eyes wide in shock. It seemed as though she was staring at the floor but she was actually not seeing anything. She couldn’t hear or feel anything around her either. All she could do was think about what she had just heard…
I’d appreciate it if you get rid of any false pretenses you have about our relationship. It’s annoying. Suddenly, Sayumi found her cheeks being soaked with tears. Weird hiccupping noises started to come out from the back of her throat as her chest moved quickly up and down. Before she could be laughed at, the bunny sprinted to the bathroom and locked herself in the last stall. There, she crouched to the ground, buried her face in her knees, and sobbed. She cried out loud, ashamed and abandoned, and confused.
Why am I crying? She wondered.
Who is Junjun to me that I’m crying over someone like her? My… friend… my first friend… no, she’s even more than that… She has to be more than that to me…
But the words she whispered to me… isn’t love.

“I’m telling you, Sensei, the packet is too fat!” Risa groaned, slamming the stapler down on the table. “Exactly how many worksheets are you preparing for us?”
“Enough to get you all through the semester,” Ai laughed. “If the stapler doesn’t work, use paper clips. I’m pretty sure there’s a box of it in my bag, you can look through it.”
The teacher started to take one sheet from each pile of worksheet and create packets again. She stacked them on the side where her class representative, who was sitting next to her, was supposed to staple them. But since there were just too many papers, the bean was now scourging her teacher’s back for paper clips.
Takahashi-sensei and Risa were in the school library during a free period, creating work packets for the class. Their relationship seemed to have gone back to normal, but Risa was being much more open with her feelings towards her teacher. This made Ai feel kind of awkward at times but since her student was being so bold, she didn’t want to be the weaker one as the teacher.
“You really give us too much work,” the bean grumbled. “I can already hear Kameha whining about this.”
“Oh, you’ll all thank me later,” Sensei chuckled. “I am aware that I’m a pretty hardcore teacher… strict and merciless, you know? But I still don’t understand why kids in your class still like me.”
“It’s your face,” Risa teased. “You’re too pretty.”
“Wow. That’s not something I hear every day,” Ai laughed, flattered.
“Really? Well, you can hear it every day now because I’ll tell you every day,” Risa grinned. “I think you’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen, Sensei. One of the smaller reasons why I—”
“And stop right there!” Takahashi-sensei interrupted, frowning. “We’re still in school, you know.”
“I don’t really care; nobody’s listening anyway,” Risa said, rolling her eyes. “I want to constantly remind you about who I am to you.”
“What are you to me?” the teacher asked.
“Student,” the bean smiled. “But more than that, the one who loves you the most in this world.”
“How cute. It’s sounds like something I’d hear from a
little sister,” Ai smiled smugly. “You know, I always wanted a little sister.”
“Well, I don’t want a big sister,” Risa huffed. “That’s not what I’m looking for in you.”
“Okay, let’s just get this work done before the period ends,” Ai chuckled.
And so, the pair continued to make packets and stack them in silence, occasionally meeting eyes and just smiling at each other. Although Risa looked at Ai with love and admiration in her eyes, the teacher only revealed politeness. The bean knew this, but she didn’t care at this point. She was just glad that she and Sensei could talk to each other again.
“Okay!” Takahashi-sensei said finally. “We’re finished! Thank you for helping out, Gaki-san, as always.”
“You’re welcome, as always,” Risa grinned. “Do you have any more work you need to do?”
“No, I just need to go photocopy something else but it’s something very little,” Ai answered, putting the stack of packets in her bag.
“I’ll go with you!” Risa volunteered immediately. “I just want to check out a book first; will you wait for me, Sensei?”
“Why don’t you just check out your book and go back to class?” Ai grinned. “I can handle the rest of the work myself, Gaki-san.”
“No, I want to go with you!” the bean insisted, not caring if she came off as a brat. “Wait up for me!”
“Okay, okay!” Ai laughed. “Make it quick.”
Risa dashed to one of the bookshelves and started to scan each row. Ai watched her from the end of the aisle as she turned to check the clock. The bean smiled as she finally found the book she was looking for at the bottom shelf. She bent down and pulled it out and started to read the back cover to make sure it was the right book. Ai turned back to call for her student when she noticed the books at the top shelf, above Risa, moving out by itself. The teacher’s eyes widened in horror as the books started to move out of the shelves more and more, as though it was about to fall out.
“Gaki-san!” Ai yelled. She dashed forward to her student as the books at the top shelf came crashing down. She managed to push Risa down to the floor just in time and protect her from the falling books by covering her with her own body. The hardcover novels crashed down on Sensei’s back and shoulders, but left Risa without a scratch. Then, there was only silence.
“S-sensei!” Risa yelled at the teacher who was on top of her. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?”
“I’m fine,” Ai said hoarsely, smiling. “Are you safe, Gaki-san? Did you get hit?”
“No, I didn’t get hit,” Risa said in an angry tone, “because you jumped in! Why would you do something like that? You could’ve gotten seriously hurt!”
“I’m glad you’re okay,” Ai laughed, ignoring the bean’s comment. She slowly got up, clutching her left shoulder. “How did the books even fall down?”
“Uh… that would be my fault…” a nervous voice said.
As Risa got back up to her feet again, she turned around to see her classmate standing behind her, smiling nervously. She had slightly chubby cheeks but a pretty face with curly light brown hair. Next to her was another familiar girl with medium-length brown hair.
“Konno and Ogawa,” Takahashi-sensei said.
“Gomenasai, Sensei,” Asami said, biting her bottom lip. “I was trying to get a book from the other side in the top shelf, and I accidently pushed it in…”
“I told you that the books didn’t go that far in, Konkon!” Makoto said, rolling her eyes. “You almost killed Gaki-san there.”
“That’s a slight exaggeration, Makocchan…” Risa said, laughing nervously. “It’s okay, Konkon. It could happen to anyone. And Sensei is okay too… right?”
“Yes, I’ll be fine—OW!” Ai ended up yelling out loud when she tried to stretch her arms. She immediately clutched her shoulder again, her expression revealing obvious pain.
“Sensei!” Risa yelled.
“Sumimasen! Sumimasen!” Asami apologized, panicking.
“I think you should get that checked out in the infirmary, Sensei,” Makoto suggested.
“No, I’m really fine, you girls can go back to class,” Ai reassured.
“No, I’m not going back to class when you’re hurt like this!” Risa said. She grabbed her teacher’s uninjured arm and pulled her along. On the way, the bean swooped down and slung Ai’s back on her own shoulders and escorted the teacher out of the library.
“Konno, don’t feel bad about it!” Ai yelled behind her, still hearing the little apologetic chants of her student. “I’ll be fine! Really! Gaki-san is overreacting!”
“Konkon, will you calm down?” Makoto moaned in the distance.
Risa closed the library door behind her as she continued to pull her teacher down the hallway towards the infirmary. She completely ignored all of her teacher’s insistence on her complete and total health and finally reached her destination. She opened the door, pulled her teacher in, and swung her around to sit her down on the cot. Risa looked around, and noticed that the doctor was on lunch break. The office was empty.
“Well, since the doctor isn’t here either,” Ai started, “I think we should just leave.”
“No way, Sensei,” the bean said firmly. “Your shoulder is obviously bruised. Here, I’ll just make an ice pack.”
The student walked over to one of the cabinets and took out a plastic baggie. She then opened the fridge and removed a tray of ice cubes. She popped a couple out and put them in the bag before putting the tray back into the freezer. She then tied the ice pack baggie and walked back to her teacher.
“Unbutton your blouse,” Risa ordered.
“Um, it’s okay, I’ll just place it over my shirt,” Ai mumbled.
“It’s more effective if it hits skin,” the bean said, reaching for the top button. “If you’re not going to do it, then I will.”
“No, stop!” the teacher said, backing away. “I’ll… I’ll do it myself.”
Slowly, Ai started to undo the top buttons of her collar shirt. She then slipped down the left side of the shirt, enough to show a little bit of her bra as well as a full view of her bra straps. There was a large bruise on her shoulder, in the shade of blue and purple.
“Oh, you’re definitely not hurt at all, Sensei,” Risa said sarcastically, before pressing the ice pack on the bruise.
“AGH! COLD!” Ai yelled out, almost jumping up before Risa pushed her down again.
“Oh~ so that’s how I make you lose your composure,” the younger girl laughed. “If you want the bruise to be healed quickly, you have to keep the ice on, okay, Sensei?”
“… Okay,” the teacher squeaked, wrinkling her face, obviously not very comfortable with the ice on her shoulder. “I guess I should thank you, Gaki-san…”
“No problem,” Risa grinned. “I’ll do anything for you, Sensei. Really.”
Ai turned her head to look at the girl was pressing the ice pack down on her shoulder. Risa’s face was actually a lot closer than she had anticipated. The bean was focused on the bruise as she pressed the ice pack up and down. Her caring face, her smile, her brightness… it had always been there but for some reason, it seemed even more prominent today. Her hair seemed soft and her cheeks seemed smooth… Had she always been this pretty? Before she knew it, Ai was entranced.
“Sensei…?” Risa asked, meeting her teacher’s eyes after noticing Ai leaning in closer. “Are you okay?”
Ai didn’t answer. She subconsciously started to lean closer and closer towards the younger girl until their lips were only a couple millimeters apart. Risa’s eyes widened in shock, but she was unable to move away.
“Risa…”
That took the bean by an even bigger surprise. Her teacher never called her by her first name before. It felt so… familiar. Her heart felt so close to Ai’s…
Still not fully realizing what she was doing, the older woman slowly leaned forward even more. She could almost taste Risa’s sweet lips against her own, soft and warm…
Suddenly, the school bell rang out, snapping the teacher back to full conscience. Ai immediately pulled back in surprise, as did Risa. They stood staring at each other for a while in silence, until the student finally spoke up.
“I… I think I’ll go back to class now,” she mumbled.
The bean quickly ran out of the nurse’s office and shut the door behind her. Her entire body was trembling with shock, excitement, and confusion. She leaned against the wall and covered her mouth. She could feel her cheeks heating up.
What was that? She thought.
Sensei was trying to… kiss me? She really was trying to kiss me! But… why? Meanwhile, on the other side of the door, Ai picked up the ice pack that was dropped to the floor. She balanced it on her shoulder once more and sighed. Her fingers automatically when to her lips and slightly touched it.
What the hell am I trying to do…? She thought.
