Chapter 2 The food came out, but this time it wasn’t her that served us… It was a different girl. I felt very disappointed because I want to see her up close again. Yuko on the other hand… her mouth was hanging wide open when she saw our waitress. I’m even surprised she stared so hard without blinking once. “I’m sorry, Acchan had to take care of the other side so I will be taking over.” She says with a charming smile. I’m guessing she is new because I’ve never seen her here before. This girl is tall/model like; she has long lovely silky hair, light brown eyes and a strong feminine aura. I have to admit she’s almost as beautiful as my Atsuko but not quite. “My name’s Haruna, if you need anything else please let me know.” She says as she sets our plate of food in front of us. “Yuko?? Are you there?? YUKO?!” I waved my hand in front of her face repetitively. She seems too stunned to move.. On behalf of her behavior I felt obligated to apologize. “I’m sorry, my friend is not feeling to well today, she forgot to take her medication.” I said trying not to laugh. The waitress chuckled a bit from the way Yuko was acting. Not a single word came from her mouth; that’s really rare. Usually she wouldn’t shut up so easily. Now I know what to do when I need her to be quiet! I found her kryptonite! Bwahahaha.
“Isn’t that the new transfer student in our school?” Miichan asks Yuko. “Yeah…isn’t she pretty?” Yuko answers, still lost in a trance. I couldn’t help but giggle, this idiot is poking fun at me for not being brave enough to talk to Atsuko but now look at her, she’s love-struck! “Takamina from now on, I will accompany you here every day!” “What? No! You’re too loud Yuko. I like to sit here in peace without you mouthing all the time.” “Well it’s better than you pretending to read that book of yours, you pervert!” “I am not a pervert!” “Yes you are! I seen you stare at Acchan’s breast earlier, don’t lie!” “What!? I was not…” I defended myself. Well maybe I was little and didn’t realize it. Mmm the smell of Katsudon flowing through my nose. Before you know it I devoured the katsudon like I haven’t eaten for days; I stuffed my mouth really fast like a pig. “Oooshiii” I talked with my mouth full. “I’m glad you like it.” A voice snuck me from behind. I froze with food falling out from my mouth…that voice…it’s her. OH MY GOD!!! I’m so embarrassed, this whole time she was watching! How dare these two brats not warn me! No wonder they we’re just sitting there smirking!! Aaaaaaaaah!! Kill me now!! She probably thinks I’m a slob! What a good first impression huh??
“I just came by to apologize about switching up.” “Oh that’s alright Acchan, No worries here.” Miichan answered. “ And Yuuchan, how was your food?” “Amazing! Hey is there any way I can start requesting that waitress over there?” Yuko said shuddering her eyebrow. “Haha actually yes you can. And how was your food Miichan?” “Delicious and Sweet! Just like your smile.” she flirted. Ouuu! She’s so going to get it later. I know that Miichan is doing that on purpose to make me say something, but can’t she use a different method?? I hate when she does that! “And what---“ Before Atsuko can ask me how was my food.. Stupid Miichan interrupted again!! “How was your katsudon?” Miichan asked me with an evil sneer. I mean mugged that gachapin first and then look back at Atsuko, all of a sudden all my anger disappear into thin air.. The more I look at her the more I get lost into her beauty... I couldn’t speak so I sighed in defeat. Then I realized this is my chance to talk to her! but please.. please don’t let me mess up. Suddenly words came out of my mouth. “The delicious is katsudon. ”HUH???” Yuko and Miichan said in unison,both looking confused. Damn it! I mixed up my words!! I have to hurry and fix it, so I thought to introduce myself. “By the way my name is Minami, meet to nice you! I mean, nice to meet you!” OH GOD NOT AGAIN!!! My face is burning up, by now she can probably tell I’m blushing..how awkward... She looked at me and chuckled in a way I never seen before…her nose wrinkled and she had the hugest smile on her face. It was a lot way different from the way she laughs at Miichan and Yuko. Well maybe I’m just overthinking it. :/ “Haha, it’s nice to meet you Minami, you look somewhat familiar, did I see you somewhere before?” Just that I was in all of your classes from K-12. This definitely made me feel like crap, jeez am I really that invisible to her? “ Uh no.. I think this is the first time we’ve met.” I had to lie or else she’ll think I’m such a loser!
The diner is closing up pretty soon and those two chimpanzees’s already left me about 2 hours ago. I’m actually glad because I get quiet time and Atsuko time.
Finally I closed my book, packed up all my stuff and got up from my seat. Just before I can walk any further.. *Thump/Clash!* “Ahh!! ATSUKO I’M SO SO SORRY!! I didn’t mean to.” “No, it wasn’t your fault.. I was careless and didn’t look. So it’s my mistake. GOMEN NE! for walking into you.” she bowed to me. She bent down and picked up the broken pieces of the plate. “Here let me help you.” Somehow we end trying to get the same piece and touched hands.. I quickly pulled back and looked the other way to hide my blush. My heart right now is beating like crazy, like a drum.. it’s so loud. Hopefully she can’t hear it or else she’ll freak out. “Gomen ne” I apologized facing the other way. She didn’t answer so I looked at her, she was also facing the other way.. “Ittai” I heard her shout in pain. I panicked when I seen blood dripping from her finger, gently but swiftly I grabbed her finger and sucked on it without thinking twice. 30 seconds later she pulled away and slapped me.. But why?? why does my heart hurt so much when she did that? Why was I so stupid to do such a dumb thing..She doesn’t even know who I am.. to her I’m still a stranger with just the name Minami…Abruptly my eyes begin to blur and my head starts to spins. Before I know it, I’m beginning to lose consciousness.
