Chapter 9
A couple days after the Power Ranger battle, Mariko started to wonder how everyone was smuggling in such dangerous weapons. This was a facility with security guards and cameras so everything should be pretty tight right? But yet somehow people manage to smuggle in dangerous weapons like knives and bazookas. Mariko decided to look into the subject and find out what was the cause of the weapon smuggling. Mariko first suspected Mayuyu had something to do with it. She mentioned that she ahd ordered her bazooka online so that must mean she orders weapons for other patients to right? Mariko walked into Mayuyu's room and found her on the bed reading manga again.
"What do you want?" she asked.
"I wanted to know how everyone somehow gets weapons into the facility." Mariko said.
"What does it have to do with me?"
"Well, you said that you had ordered your bazooka online. So I thought that you ordered weapons for everyone else too."
"Nope."
"You're lying."
"Here look at this."
Mayuyu walked over to her computer and pulled up a website called "weaponshere.org" It was a website where you could order all kinds of weapons from guns to swords and even bombs. To the side, there was the name Mimi written in red curseive.
"Who's Mimi?" Mariko asked.
"That's the owner of the website. They're the ones who deliver the weapons to me.This is where I get my weapons and sometimes my cosplay costumes. I own the cosplay cutie weapon's pack."
Mayuyu showed Mariko the weapons that she had ordered that came with the pack. There were a lot of guns.
"Where do you hide all of them?" Mariko asked.
"I hide them. But I'm not going to tell you. I only use them for emergencies." Mayuyu said.
"Ok... So is this how everyone get's there weapons. By having you order them for you and then they pay you?"
"What do I look like? A black market?" I only order weapons for myself. Although that's not a bad idea."
"Forget it. Anyways, thanks for telling me this. Don't worry I won't tell anyone as long as you don't try to kill me next time."
"No promises there." Mayuyu said as she continued to read her manga.
Mariko left the room fearing if she stayed any longer then something bad would happen. The next stop was Jurina's room. Mariko remembered Jurina had two hunting knives that she once saw on a TV program. She walked in and found Jurina on the bed and Rena was nowhere to be found.
"Where's Rena?" Mariko asked.
"She's getting certain tests done. The heads want to make sure she doesn't act out like she did before." Jurina said.
"I see. Well I wanted to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"Where did you get those knives that you used when you fought Mayuyu?"
"Why? I'm not going to tell you." Jurina hissed.
"Come on. I want to know. I might want to own a pair myself." Mariko lied.
"Well, as long as you don't tell anyone. Wait a minute."
Jurina walked over to her desk and pulled out a white sheet of paper.
"Here."
She handed it to Mariko and began to read it.
"This is Mimi. Please fill what you would like and I will see if I have it in stock."
"Who is Mimi?" Mariko asked.
"My supplier. Everytime I need new weapons, I fill out that sheet and slide it outside the door at exactly midnight every Sunday. Then the next day, I'll find a package with my name on it and inside are the weapons I requested." Jurina said.
"And you get them for free?"
"Yep. This Mimi person doesn't charge me anything. They only ask that I not meet them in person and keep ordering from them. Last week they gave me a great deal with the samurai warrior pack. I've got like three katanas stashed in this room."
"I don't want to know. Anyways, thanks for letting me know. Do you know anyone who might know who this Mimi person is?" Mariko asked.
"Umm no one I can think of. But whoever it is, it's someone with access to the outside world which could be any of the staff here."
"I see. Thanks for the tip."
"Let me know if you find out who it is. I would really like to meet Mimi and thank him or her in person." Jurina said.
"I'll do that."
Mariko walked out of the room with a lot of questions in her mind. Who is Mimi? Why do they only come in on midnight and on Sundays? If it's someone who works in the facility then it's probably someone who has the night shift since they come late. Mariko walked over to the bulliten board where all the doctors and nurses write in their hours. The only ones that had night shift were Sayaka and Takamina. So it was one of those two who was behind the whole master plan. Today was Sunday so it was time for Mariko to become a detective and investigate. She first decided to search Takamina's desk for any clues. When the small midget left, Mariko slipped in before the door completely shut.
"Gotta find some kind of clue." Mariko thought.
She began searching the desk. Nothing looked out of the ordinary. When she looked through the shelves the only thing she found odd was a scrap book full of pictures of her and Acchan. Mariko was pretty mortifyed seeing the picture of Takamina and Acchan at some Chirstmas party. Takamina was in a reindeer outfit and Acchan was in a santa suit. She didn't want to know what they were doing. Mariko kept searching and still found nothing.
"Well it looks like there was nothing here." Mariko thought.
But then, Mariko saw a small black folder under the desk. Mariko pulled it out and on the cover it said, request forms.
"Is this it?"
Mariko looked through the folder and was only disappointed. These request forms were forms Acchan filled out saying what she wanted from Takamina. One of them said a whip, hand cuffs, a ball gag and a latex suit. Mariko didn't want to know what Acchan and Takamina were doing when she wasn't around. Just then, Mariko could hear Takamina coming back. She quickly put the folder back and left before Takamina came in. Now Mariko knew that there was no way Takamina was the culprit. Which only means one other person. Sayaka. Mariko walked to Sayaka's office and found her reading some papers. She had to get out if she was going to look around.
"Hey Sayaka." Mariko said.
"Oh hello Mariko." Sayaka said.
"Hey I'm not sure if you knew this, but I saw Sae running down the hall wearing something on her head. It looked like her under wear."
"Ah jeez! I told her to quit doing that."
Sayaka got up and rushed out of the room leaving Mariko to do what she pleased. Mariko started to look around and found nothing wrong. But all the drawers in her desk were locked which made her seem very suspiscious of Sayaka. Mariko has found the culprit and now all she has to do is catch Sayaka in the act.
Later on that day, Mariko pretended to leave but actually snuck back inside using the back door. She hid in a janitors closet and pulled out a lap top. Then she opened up three screens that showed three live footages of different halls in the building. She got the cameras from Mayuyu who happily gave them up in exchange of a Sailor Moon magic wand that Mariko used to play with when she was little. It was eleven o clock which means an hour till show time. Mariko sat there and waited until it was time. Then when the clock on her phone stroke twelve, it was time to catch a culprit.
"Let's see what we can find." Mariko said.
At first there was nothing. But then, in the third camerea, a dark figure appeared in the hall. Looking at the footage, Mariko thought the figure looked too short to be Sayaka but too tall to be Takamina. The culprit was someone else. Mariko quickly ran down to the hall where she saw the figure. When she got there, there was no one to be found. It was dark so she couldn't see anything but Mariko could feel like someone was there. Some one was watching her waiting to attack.
"Show yourself!" Mariko shouted.
Mariko's heart was racing. She wasn't sure if it was due to fear or excitement but it felt like her heart was about to pop out of her chest. Mariko could hear shuffling coming from the darkness around her. Not feeling safe, she pressed herself against the wall and tried feeling for a light switch. She eventually found it and flipped the switch. The lights flickered on and Mariko didn't find anything. But then something tapped her on the shoulder causing Mariko to scream.
"AHHHHH!"
"Ahhhhhh!"
Mairko recgonized that irritating voice. Mariko turned around and saw Miichan staring at her.
"Gachapin?!"
"Hello." Miichan said.
"What are you doing here?" Mariko asked.
"I forgot my cell phone. I was on my way out when I saw you in the halls. What are you doing here?"
"Nothing I forgot someting too. Anyways, don't scare me like that. You almost gave me a heat attack."
"Sorry."
"Well I'm going to leave now. I'm really tired so I'll see you tomorrow ok?"
"Yep!"
"Alright see you later Gachapin!" Mariko said turning to leave.
"Goodbye!" Miichan said.
Miichan waited until she heard the back door open and close indicating Mariko had left. Then, she walked over to a room and stopped in front of the door. Miichan pulled out a small brown box and left it in front of the door. Then she also left a business card that had the name Mimi on it. Once the package was dropped off, Miichan quickly got up and left without leaving a trace. As she walked out into the parking lot Miichan thought,
"It's a good thing Mariko didn't catch me. Otherwise she would've spoiled all the fun."
Miichan smiled with an evil grin and pulled out of the drive way happy as ever knowing she made another successful delivery.

Well did you get it? Did you figure out who Mimi was? Well if you didn't figure it out, the culprit was Miichan! "Mimi" represents the mi's in "Mi"negishi "Mi"nami. Pretty clever right? Anyways, I hope this answered all your questions about how the patients got dangerous weapons into the facility. I hope you enjoyed this interesting mystery chapter and tell me what you think! Also, the website mentioned was not real. Please do not go to it. It's only a story!
