Chapter 25

It was a quiet day at Hirokawa Mental Facility. But then BANG! Someting exploded filling smoke in the hall. Mariko was with Rena at the time and saw the explosion. She watched the people drop down like flies.

"Knock out gas?" Mariko thought.

Soon after men came in and started picking up people. One of the men came in a grabbed Rena. Mariko tried to stop them but she got knocked out by something behind her. Mariko doesn't know what is going on but whatever it was, someone was running the whole show.

"Mariko.... psst... Mariko!"

Mariko opened her eyes and saw nothing but bright light. She looked around and could only see a white ceiliing.

"Hey Mariko."

"Who are you?" Mariko asked.

"That doesn't matter who I am." the voice said.

"Listen, everyone is in danger!"

"What is this place?"

"Some governent building. Hey did you hear what I said? Everyone is in danger!"

"Yeah I heard you." Mariko tried to move but there were restraints binding her to the bed.

"I can't move."

"Just slip your arms through. The guards didn't properly tighten the restraints." the voice said.

Mariko did was the voice said and both her arms came out. Then she undid her legs and got up. But then she quickly fell back down due to the fact that her legs were weak.

"What are you a baby? Get up!" the voice said.

Mariko finally stood up again then started to walk again.

"Good. Now listen, the door is unlocked and the halls are empty. Now is the time to escape."

"Who are you. More importantly where are you?"

"Turn around."

Mariko turned around and saw a girl about Jurina's age. She had long brown hair and small eyes. She was wearing a white dress with red flowers on it.

"Who are you?" Mariko asked.

"Mariko." the girl said.

"Really? My name is Mariko too."

"I know that. To avoid confusion, you can call me Mari-chan."

"Sounds good."

"Alright now listen go out into the hall and go down the hall to the end. Then make a right turn and head down that path. Look for your first room on your left and you'll find one of your patients."

"Ok."

Mariko went out into the hall and just like what Mari-chan told her there were no guards. She ran down the hall and made a right. Then she found the first door. It was unlocked surprisingly. Mariko walked in and found Yuko restrained on the bed.

"Mariko!" Yuko said.

"Shhh! You want the guards to hear us?" Mariko said.

"Sorry."

Mariko undid the retraints on Yuko and then she stood up.

"Do you have any idea what's going on?" Yuko asked.

"No I just woke up. You?"

"Nope."

"Alright then let's go look for the others. Where to next Mari-chan?"

"Go down the hall and make a left. First door on the left." Mari-chan said.

"Mariko who's Mari-chan?" Yuko asked. 

"She's right there. Now let's go."

Mariko and Yuko walked out into the hall and quickly made their way to the next room. There she found Acchan and Takamina.

"Mariko!" they both said.

"Shhhhhh!"

Mariko and Yuko released Acchan and Takamina.

"Where are we?" Takamina asked.

"Where is everyone?" Acchan asked.

"I don't know but we're looking for them."  Mariko said.

"Where do we go now?"

"Out the door, go down and make a right. Thrid door on the left."

"Thank Mari-chan."

"Who's Mari-chan?" Takamina asked.

"She's right next to you. Now let's move!"

Everyone made their way out into the hall and to the next room. There they found Mayuyu and Yukirin.

"Hey you guys!" Mayuyu said.

"We're here to save you!" Yuko said.

As Yuko and Takamina were busy releasing Mayuyu and Yukirin, Mari-chan said,

"Mariko you're group is getting too big. You need to split up."

"Good point. Who should I take?" Mariko asked.

"Take, Mayuyu and Yukirin. Have Takamina take Acchan and Yuko."

"Ok sounds like a plan."

The entire time Mariko was talking to Mari-chan, Acchan was staring at her giving her weird looks.

"What?" Mariko asked.

"It's nothing." Acchan said.

"I'm just talking to Mari-chan."

"That's nice."

"What's her problem?" Mariko thought.

"Alright we're going to have to split up. Acchan and Yuko, you go with Takamina while Mayuyu and Yukirin come with me. You ready?" Mariko said.

"Yeah!"

"Then let's move out and find the others." 

For the next half hour, Mariko listened to Mari-chan's directions and managed to find Rena, Jurina, and Sayaka. Takamina also found Sae and Haruna. The only one that was missing was Miichan.

"Where do you think they took Miichan?" Mariko asked.

"Go to the the very last room at the end of the hall. She should be there." Mari-chan said.

Mariko went to the last door and found Miichan talking to a man in a black suit.

"Who are you?" Mariko asked.

"I am Ken. And you?" the man asked.

"Mariko. What are you doing with Miichan?"

"Oh you know catching up. I wanted to know how my weapons were considering the fact that she stole them."

"What?"

"Oh Mimi you didn't tell them? Well maybe I'll tell her for you."

"Ken don't." Miichan said.

"Minegishi Minami code name "Mimi" She worked with the Special Forces for ten years before she took off and ran taking most of my weapons."

"Wait a minute. Mimi?"

Mariko remembered the weapon incident back at the facility. The signature left was the name Mimi.

"You're Mimi? The one who's been giving everyone weapons?" Mariko said.

"Yeah." Miichan said with her head down.

"Remind me to kill you when we get home."

"I don't know why Mimi left. She was a good agent and even a better scientist." Ken said.   

"I left because you were doing things that never should've happened."

"But it was all in the name of science. And don't forget you helped to." Ken said.

"What did you do?" Mariko asked.

"Mimi here helped me create a new drug guaranteed to cause one's mind to lose it. We were testing it on people but then Mimi said it was wrong and freed all the patients. Then she also took all the weapons we had stashed that could fight and win another world war. The drug was still in testing when Mimi worked here. It's been five years now. Shall we see how it works now?" 

"Don't let him do that to Miichan!" Mari-chan said.

Ken pulled out a syringe with strange red fluid inside. Her was going to stick it in Miichan but Mariko stepped up.

"You can use it on me. I'll be your test subject. As long as you promise to let me and the other patients walk free." Mariko said.

"Mariko!"

"Deal."

Ken walked over and injected the red fluid into Mariko's body. Mariko instantly felt a shock shoot throughout her body causing her to collapse. Shock waves shot thorughout her body. Then there was a loud ringing in her head followed by an unbearable head ache. Images from her past flashed across her eyes. It was as if she was rewatching her whole life.

"Well it looks like the drug is working. Pretty soon you won't be the same person as you were before. You'll be nothing but a nut shell." Ken said.

"Ken you bastard!" Miichan said.

"This is payback Mimi. For what you did to the agency and me. I thought we had somehting special."

"You're a mad man!"
 
"I maybe but you helped. And in a couple of minutes your friend here will be want to start bashing her head against something so how about I have you join her."

Ken was about to inject Miichan when someone tapped his shoulder. He turned around and got a fist to the face. Mariko punched him hard and he fell to the ground knocked out cold.

"Mariko!"

"No one touches my Gachapin." Mariko said.

Mariko undid the ties on Miichan and helped her up.

"How come the drug isn't working on you?" Miichan asked.

"I don't know. Guess it was defective. Anyways, where is everyone Mari-chan?"

"They're gathering in the main entrance. You better hurry because guards are coming back soon." Mari-chan said.

"Alright thanks Mari-chan."

"Who's Mari-chan?'

"She's been helping me out this whole time. Didn't you see her come in with me?"

"Uhhh-"

"No time we need to move."

Mariko and Miichan ran to the main entrance where the others were.

"There's the door let's go!" Mariko said.

Togehter, they all ran as fast as they could. But soon an alarm went off and metal gates started to fall. Everyone made it through and Mariko and Mari-chan were the last ones.

"You go. You're friends need you." Mari-chan said.

"But Mari-chan-"

"No buts. Just go!"

Mari-chan pushed Mariko off and she slid thorough just before the gate closed.

"Mari-chan!"

Mariko tried to go back but Sayaka stopped her.

"What are you doing Mairko?!" Sayaka said.

"Mari-chan is still in there! She's going to get killed. She's still just a child!" Mariko cried.

"Mariko we don't have time for this. We need to go now!"

Thanks to Mayuyu, she managed to hot wire a bus and Sayaka drove all the way back to the facility. Mariko didn't remember most of the ride because she was too busy crying over Mari-chan. The fact that she couldn't save her hurt Mariko deeply. When they reached the facility, everyone went inside ready to take a long rest. But before everyone left, they all gathered around Mariko.

"What is it?" Mariko asked.

"Well there's something that's been worrying us." Takamina said.

"Well the entire time we were escaping, you kept saying that you were talking to a person called Mari-chan."

"Yeah her name was Mariko. She helped me find you guys and helped me escape as well."

"Mariko, there wasn't anyone with us that went by the name Mari-chan."

"What?"

"Yeah. When you came in and found me, you were talking to yourself like there was somewhere but there wasn't." Yuko said.

"Yeah and when you came and rescued me you asked if I saw Mari-chan but to be honest I didn't. You just pointed at an empty space in a corner." Miichan said.

"Also, when everyone was racing for the exit, you were the last one to come out. There was no one esle behind you." Sayaka said.

"Impossible. She was so real to me. She actually kinda looked like me."

That's when it hit Mariko. During the time when images of her past were flashing in her mind, she remembered seeing one of her when she was 15. She looked exactly like Mari-chan when she was that age. Could it be that Mari-chan was actually fifteen year old Mariko? Was that why the drug didn't effect Mariko because she was already mad? This made Mariko's head spin to the point of collapsing.

"Mariko!"

Everything was slowly starting to fade away and get dark. Mariko couldn't believe what was happening. So many questions were running through her head.

"So Mari-chan wasn't real? The entire time I was in there, I was just saving everyone based on instinct? Am I going nuts like everyone else? Why is this happening? What's going to happen next? I'm scared."

Mariko's racing mind was silenced by complete darkness.

Chapter 26

Mariko couldn't recall what had happend for the past few hours. All she remembered was being told that Mari-chan wasn't real and that she was just a figure of her imagination. Then after that she had blacked out. When Mariko woke up, she found herself in a bed. She looked around and noticed that it wasn't one of the rooms in the facility. She was somewhere else. Mariko sat and tried to move but there were restraints tying to her bed.

"What the?"

Mariko wondered why she was in retraints. Then the door opened and a nurse came in. Seeing that she was awake, the nurse ran out and brought a doctor in. The doctor had long brown hair and brown eyes.

"Hello Mariko. My name is Kasai Tomomi and I'm the doctor in charge of you. Do you remember anything that happened from yesterday?" she asked.

"Yeah a little. My head still hurts a little. By the way, why am I here and why am I in restraints?" Mariko asked.

"You had a break down at your old facility so you were transferred here. The restraints were put on because on the way here, you went berserk and attacked one of our nurses."

"I did? Oh my gosh I am so sorry. I don't even remember."

"It's alright. The nurse wasn't hurt too badly."

"So when can I go back to Hirokawa Mental Facility?" Mariko asked.

"Well I'm afraid it's going to be a while. You see, you think you're fine but actually there's something very wrong up here." Kasai said.

"But I feel fine."

"Well let's take a few tests and we'll determine your condition from there."

Kasai walked over and hooked Mariko up to a shock therapy machine.

"Is this really needed?" Mariko asked.

"Yes. It's just to make sure you don't get too wild." Kasai said.

"Now I'm going to ask you some questions and all I need is you to answer them."

"Ask away."

"When did you start imagining other people?" Kasai asked.

"Yesterday was the first time." Mariko said.

"Ok and before that, did you ever start hearing strange things. Like voices?"

"No. None of this start until yesterday."

"Did you have any mental problems in the past?"

"No none that I can remember."

"I see. Alright Mariko now I'm going to shock you a little bit and you tell me if it hurts."

Kasai grabbed the remote and turned it on. Mariko was inspecting to feel pain but instead, she didn't feel anything.

"Um I don't really feel anything." Mariko said.

"Ok then I'm going to turn it up a little higher." Kasai said.

When she did, Mariko could feel a little tingling sensation but not a lot.

"I feel something but no much." Mariko said.

"Ok then I'm going to put it on full power." Kasai said.

Kasai it the switch and Mariko felt a jolt shoot up her body. But it wasn't pain. It was more like a tickling sensation. Pretty soon Mariko found herself laughing and shaking all over the place. Then it stopped and Mariko was left speechless from all the laughing. Meanwhile, Kasai took a few notes. Then she took off the shock wave patches and handed Mariko a piece of paper and a pen.

"Mariko I want you to draw me something. Any thing that comes to mind." she said.

"Ok."

Mariko sat there and thought about it for a while. Then an idea popped in her head and she drew it. Mariko was drew a Gachapin because it reminded her of Miichan. She felt pretty good looking at it and complimented herself on the drawing. When she showed it to Kasai, the doctor looked at Mariko with a strange look.

"Mariko what is this?" Kasai asked.

"It's Gachapin." Mariko said.

"Really because all I see is a dog."

"What?"

Mariko looked at the drawing and she was right. Mariko had drawn a dog and not a Gachapin.

"I could've sworn I drew a Gachapin." Mariko said scratching her head.

Kasai took some more notes and then said,

"Well I'm going to revaluate my notes and get back to you soon."

"Ok sounds good." 

Kasai got up and left Mariko leaving her alone. Mariko sat there staring at all the things in her room. The walls were metal which was very strange and the door sounded very heavy when they were shut. Mariko continued to sit there waiting quietly when suddenly she started to hear something.

"Mariko help us..." a voice said.

"We can't take it anymore...."

"I'm going to lose it...."

The voices sounded a lot like her patients back in the facility.

"Mariko help. I don't like our new doctor. Please come back soon." the voice sounded like Rena.

"I want Nyannyan. The new doctor has locked me up and I can't get out. Mariko where are you?" the voice was Yuko's.

"Mariko I can't take it much longer. I just might lose it." Jurina's voice echoed in her head.

Mariko didn't know where the voices were coming from but they were becoming unbareable. The cries of her patients made her feel something was wrong and she needed to get back to the facility. But how could she when she was still tied to the bed. Mariko sat there trying to think of something when the doctor came back in with a cart.

"What is all that for?" Mariko asked.

"We need to take a sample of your blood." Kasai said.

"Ok."

Mariko didn't have a problem with giving blood since she's done it before. But when Kasai came over with the needle, something in Mariko's head screamed. This caused her to break free of her restraints and knock Kasai over.

"Run." a voice said.

Mariko ran out and down the hall. She just kept running and running searching for an exit. But no matter where she was, she would just find herself more lost than before. Mariko could hear the foot steps of people coming. Scared and alert, Mariko took a scalpal on a nearby surgery cart and waited. Then when the person was about to come out, Mariko stabbed them. There was a loud scream that sounded very familiar to Mariko. She looked over and saw Acchan on the ground bleeding.

"Acchan!"   

Mariko ran over and tried to help her fallen friend when something came behind and struck her. Mariko looked over and saw Jurina.

"Jurina what are you-"

Before Mariko could finish what she was saying, Jurina ran over and punched Mariko in the face. Then she got on top of her and started strangling her. Mariko was about to pass out when she grabbed the scalpal and stabbed Jurina's leg. Jurina got off and fell over.

"Jurina what's going on?" Mariko asked.

Jurina didn't say anything, she just stared at her with a cold look. Mariko didn't know what to do. But then she heard foot steps from behind her. Next thing she knew, she was surrounded by everyone.

"Takamina, Yuko, Haruna, Rena, Sayaka, Sae, Yukirin, Mayuyu. What are you all doing?"

They didn't say anything. Instead they all pulled out bats and started to charge at Mariko. One by one, they started beating Mariko to a pulp. Mariko didn't fight back because they were her friends. So why were they hurting her? As Mariko sat there being beaten by her friends, the voice in her head said something.

"Kill them."

This made Mariko snap and she no longer controlled her body. She grabbed a bat from Rena and knocked her back. Then she took them all down until everyone was on the ground moaning in pain. But Mariko wasn't done yet. She walked over to each person and beated them until they stopped moving and breathing. She didn't stop until everyone was dead. When it was all over, Mariko found herself in the center of all the bodies covered in their blood.

"How was it?" the voice asked.

"What happened?" Mariko said.

"You killed them. You killed everyone you loved."

"No... There's no way."

"Look at yourself. It's their blood on your hands. You killed them."

"You're wrong!"

"Did you like it? Killing the people you loved and trusted the most." the voice asked.

"No! I did it to protect myself. It was all an accident." Mariko said.

"No you did it because you wanted to kill them. The lust for blood and violence was reaching out to you begging to kill. You're a murder Mariko. Or better yet, a monster."

"NOOOOO!"

Mariko took the bat and started beating herself with it.

"Get out of my head!" she yelled as she continued to beat herself.

Mariko could feel her own blood dripping down her face. But it wasn't enough, she wasn't going to stop until she was dead like the others.

"You can't stop yourself Mariko. You'll always keep killing and killing." the voice said.

"Shut up!"

With one finaly blow, Mariko felt everything leave. Everything got quiet and then once again, dark. When Mariko woke up, she found herself in a bed again. Only this time there were more restraints and Mariko was in a straight jacket. She was going to say something when she heard voices outside her room.

"Hey did you hear? That Mariko chick broke out and went delusional." a woman said.

"Yeah. She killed 10 guards with one of their night sticks. It was horrible." another woman said.

"That's awful."

"Yeah and what's worse is then she started to beat herself. By the time the other guards foound her, she was in the middle of having a seizure."

"My gosh. She really needs help. Do you think she'll ever get out?"

"I doubt it. She may be here forever."

"This is horrible."

Mariko couldn't believe what she had just heard. She was glad that she didn't kill her friends. But she was also scared now. The fact that her mind was able to make her think such things was just unimaginable. Mariko thought maybe it would be best for her to stay where she was. It was obvious that she was sick and needed help.

"Hey Mariko."

Mariko turned around and saw Mari-chan again.

"I thought you were dead." Mariko said.

"I can't die silly. I'm just a figure of your imagination remember?" Mari-chan said.

"Oh yeah. Hey do you think you could stay here with me and keep me company. It's nice to talk to someone even if you're not real."

"Sure. I'll stay with you."

"Thanks. Hey and maybe when I get out, we can go get ice cream."

"That sounds great Mariko."

"Well I remembered how much I used to love it when I was little."

"You know you don't have to stay here. You can leave if you want." Mari-chan said.

"But I'm sick and I need help. So I'm going to stay here and get cured." Mariko said.

"You never will be. These people won't help you. You're just here so you don't hurt others. This place is more like a jail rather than a mental hospital."

"Well that's fine with me. As long as I'm here not hurting anyone I'm happy with that."

"You're crazy you know?"

"Yeah I know."

Mariko spent the rest of the time talking to her fictional younger self. But she also wondered how everyone at the facility was doing. What Mariko didn't know was that things at the faciltiy were becoming far more worse than what she could possibly imagine.

Chapter 27

Ever since Mariko was taken away from the facility, things just haven't been the same. Everyone has started to feel that there was something missing from the group. Because Mariko was gone, Miichan was the one who had to do all the work. Because she was a nurse, she wasn't quite sure how to handle all the patients. Miichan's first stop was Haruna's room. Miichan walked in and found Haruna reading a book.

"Hello Haruna." Miichan said.

"Hello." Haruna said.

"How are you feeling today?"

"Pretty good. Yuko's been laying off me recently because of Mariko. I hope she comes back soon."

"Me too. Well I just came to check on you. I'm going to go check on Yuko."

Miichan got up and walked over to Yuko's room. There, Yuko was on the ground staring at the ceiling. When she saw Miichan, she jumped up and walked over to Miichan.

"Have you heard any news about Mariko?" she asked.

"No. I've come to check on you." Miichan said.

"I'm fine. I'm just a little sad that Mariko's gone. I really miss her."

"Well you know, since Mariko is gone, that means no one can stop you from doing whatever you like to Haruna."

The squirrel girl cheered up.

"Really?"

Yuko got that same perverted smile that she always had when thinking about Haruna.

"Well I'll leave you be. Good luck with Haruna."

As soon as Miichan left, she heard a scream come from Haruna's room. Yuko must have gotten to her. Miichan then went down to Jurina and Rena's room. She found the two playing a game when she walked in.

"Hello girls. I came to check in on you. How is everything?" Miichan asked.

"Not good. We miss Mariko! When is she coming back?" Jurina said.

"I don't know. She could be there for a while."

"But we want her back. Rena misses the MelonPan she would always give her."

"I really miss Mariko." Rena said.

"Well I'm sure she'll be out in no time."

"If she isn't, then I'm going down there and busting her out myself!" Jurina said.

"You know that's not a bad idea." Miichan said.

"Yeah! I just need a ton of weapons."

"I can arrange that."

"What?"

"Nothing. I just came to see how you were doing. Go back to playing your game."

Miichan left thinking she had a close call. Acchan and Takamina were walking by when they found Miichan and stopped by to talk to her.

"Hey Miichan how are you handling things since Mariko left?" Takamina asked.

"It's not bad but still a lot of work." Miichan said.

"Well maybe she'll get back soon. Hey by the way, Sayaka was looking for you. She said she had something important to tell you."

"Really? Where is she?"

"In her office like always." Acchan said.

"Alright thanks."

"Come on Acchan let's go play that Dance, Dance Evolution game you love so much." Takamina said as she took Acchan's hand.

"Yay! I won't lose to you this time!" Acchan said.

"They really are husband and wife." Miichan thought.

Miichan went down to Sayaka's office where Yukirin and Mayuyu were also there. They were huddled around a computer screen.

"Hey Takamina said you needed me?" Miichan said.

"Yeah come over here." Sayaka said beckoning Miichan over to the computer.

On the computer screen was Mariko. She was on a bed talking to someone but there was no one. 

"Now watch this."

Mayuyu turned on a thermal camera mode and then you could see two red spots. One was Mariko and another was someone else. It looked like a little girl.

"What is this?" Miichan asked.

"This is security footage from the place Mariko is in. Mayuyu managed to hack into their security and find this video." Sayaka said.

"Nice Mayuyu."

"It was easy to get past their firewall." Mayuyu said.

"This must be the so called Mari-chan." Sayaka said.

"Why is she invisible on the camera?" Yukirina asked.

"An invisible camo..." Miichan said.

"A what?" Sayaka said.

"I've seen it in top military bases. It's a suit that can make you invisible to the enemy. The only way to see them is to wear thermal sense goggles or special contacts that allow you to see the person."

"Well that explains how we couldn't see her. But why couldn't we hear her?"

"You can only hear them with a special ear bud. They must have put it in Mariko while she was asleep along with the contacts. Combine the two and you got Mariko talking to someone who's real but everyone else can't see them therefore making them think she's crazy."

"So Mariko is being tricked into thinking she is crazy?"

"Yep."

"Who would do this?" Yukirin asked.

"Well I looked into it and found this."

Mayuyu typed something and up came a file with Mariko's information on it. It had everything about her from where she lived and who her parents were to where she graduated high school and who her best friend was in college.

"What is this?"

"Apparently Mariko is a test subject for an experiment." Mayuyu said.

"What's the experiment?" Miichan asked.

"Making someone think they're crazy using a mixture of military technology and drugs."

"So Mariko has been nothing but an experiment all her life?"

"Looks like it. They've got every major event in her life has been recorded."

"Who's in charge of all this?" Sayaka asked.

"An agency called M.A.D."

"MAD?"

"Mental Agent Disaster."

"What a stupid name." Yukirin said.

"They're basically and agency that tries to create mental insanity on a perfectly sane person. They've gone through countless experiments trying to find right technique. Their goal is to make the person so insane that they finally lose it and kill themselves. Mariko was lucky up until now. Because she was here, the agency couldn't touch her. But after the whole kidnapping thing with your old boss, they were able to find her and ended up in there."

Miichan felt guilting learning it was her fault Mariko was taken away.

"How come no one has found out about them?" Sayaka asked.

"They're secretive and good at hiding their tracks." Mayuyu said.

"We gotta get her out of there before she really does go nuts and kills herself." Miichan said.

"How? The place is heavily secured with military officers that by the wave have GUNS!"

"You leave that to me. For now let's gather everyone else and tell them what's going on."

A couple minutes later, everyone was gathered in the lunch room.

"Alright everyone listen up!" Sayaka said.

"Mariko isn't actually crazy. She's actually a test subject for some experiment that's trying to make her insane enough to the point of killing herself. Now I know that everyone here loves Mariko and wouldn't want that to happen to her. So we need to go in there and bust her out. Is everyone with me!"

"YOSH!" everyone chanted.

"Good! Then tomorrow we strike at dawn. Everyone prepare yourself because tomorrow we fight and bring our friend back!"

With that, everyone went bed ready for tomorrow. Miichan knew she was going against some tough guys and was going to need some heavy artillary. Miichan made a few phone calls and then went to her house. She walked down to her basement and turned on the light. When she did, there were guns everywhere. Miichan had everything from blades, guns, and explosives. Miichan was careful to pick out just the right weapons for everyone to use. Then she walked over to the wall and flipped a switch. A light came on revealing a suit.

"Lucifer."

That was the suits name. There hanging on a stand was an all black suit with a metal back pack and a balck helmet to the side. Lucifer was a suit that Miichan herself created back when she worked for her old agency.

"I thought I'd never have to use you." Miichan said.

It was a special suit that protected the user from any blade slash, bullet and explosive. It also gave the user the ability to move super fast and have incredible strength. There were also weapons within the suit the user could use. It was the perfect armor for any battle. But there was only one catch. The suit ran on the energy of the user. The more you used it, the more energy it drained from you. If you wore it too long then you would die. Miichan learned that the hard way when she lost one of her friends in a battle.

"I guess it's time for you to fly again Lucifer."

Miichan took down the suit and zipped on the smooth black one piece. She made sure everything was functioning properly. Then when that was done, she took two Glock hand guns and put them in the gun holders on the side. Miichan also too two machete blades and slung them across her back along with a sash of grenades. With this, Miichan was ready to fight a war.

"I'm going to get you Mariko. Just wait."

Hello everyone! The time has come for the battle to commence! I hope you all enjoy it and without further ado, let the war begin!

Chapter 28

Time: 5:00 am
Loctation: In the skies above MAD head quarters

"Alright everyone make sure your guns are loaded and everything is set to go." Miichan said.

"Hai!"

"Acchan your suit isn't zipped all the way up." Takamina said.

Takamina walked over and zipped up Acchan's suit.

"Thanks Takamina. I can't believe I'm wearing this. I don' t like the color." Acchan said.

"Hey I think you look very cute in it."

"Really? Well I guess it's ok then." Acchan started blushing.

"Nyannyan you look super sexy!" Yuko said.

"Shut up you pervert!" Haruna said trying to cover herself.

"Rena hold on to these. We're going to need them when we reach the ground." Jurina said handing Rena a bag of hand guns.

"Ok. Make sure you have everything."

"Yep. Already locked and loaded."

"Woohoo I can't wait to make things go boom!" Sae said.

"Hey you just be careful. If even one of those explosivses gets hit by a bullet you're done for. But I guess that's why we gave them to you becaue only you would be crazy enough to carry all of them." Sayaka said.

"I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait!"

"Mayuyu do you have everything?" Yukirin asked.

"Yeah do you?"

"Yep."

"Are you sure it's ok for you to be carrying that assult rifle? That thing can pack a punch." Mayuyu said.

"Hey you're carrying that mini bazooka of yours."  Yukirin said.

"Good point."

"Alright everyone we got a minute untill drop time. Is everyone ready?" Miichan asked.

"Yes!" everyone said.

"Alright then let's go!"

Miichan opened the door of the plane and one by one everyone jumped out. Then once Miichan was the only one left, she jumped out too. Everyone was wearing a parashute except her because she didn't need one. With the click of a button, the metal back pack on Miichan's suit unfolded and revealed a pair of black wings. Miichan dove down with the others all the way to the ground. They landed right outside the front gates.

"Alright now everyone listen." Miichan said.

"The suits I gave you only protect you from blade cuts. But if you get shot it will break through so becarful around guns ok?"

Everyone nodded their heads.

"Good then everyone get into battle positions."

Everyone fanned out while Miichan pulled out one of her guns and loaded it. Then she calmly walked into the front doors. There was a security guard who didn't even see her come in because he was too abosorbed in reading his newspaper.

"I'd like to speak to the manager please." Miichan said.

"I'm sorry but the manager isn't seeing anyone today you'll have to-"

The security guard was silenced by the barrel of a gun being shoved in his mouth.

"He's not seeing anyone? That's too bad. Guess I'll have to go talk to him myself."

Miichan pulled the trigger and there was a loud bang followed by blood splatter. This caused the alarm to go off and other guards rush into the scene.

"Everyone now!"

The others crashed through the windows and took down some of the guards. They were already shooting but somehow everyone managed to take cover.

"Ok Mayuyu, Jurina, Rena, and Yukirin come with me! Sayaka you got the rest?" Miichan shouted as she shot another guard down.

"Yeah I got it you just go find Mariko!" Sayaka said as she took out two guards with her katana.

Miichan was amazed at how Sayaka was easily able to dodge all the bullets that were flying past her head.

"Yuko watch Haruna and make sure she doesn't pass out on you." Miichan said.

"I got it!" Yuko said as she shot two guards with her pistols.

"Hey I won't pass out!" Haruna complained as she stabbed a guard with a sythe.

"Acchan look out!" Takamina shotuted as she shot down a guard with her machine gun.

"You too!" Acchan said as she shot down three gurads with her AK-47.

"Alright then let's move!"

Miichan, Yukirin, Mayuyu, Rena, and Jurina all ran into a separate section leaving the others behind.

"Mariko is on the second to last floor in the basement area." Mayuyu said pulling out a digital map.

"How to we get there?" Yukirin asked.

"We'll have to take an elevator. It's the only way down."

"Where is it?"

"Just up ahead."

They all ran down the hall towards where the elevator would be. They found the elevator and a wall of guards with heavy machine guns. They fired but luckily everyone got out of the way.

"Yukirin!"

"On it!"

Yukirin loaded her assult rife and aimed the long barrel down the middle of the group. When she fired, she sent them flying across the area leaving a huge spray of blood.

"Let's move!"

They all got into the elevator and pressed the floor Mariko was on. They were about half way when the elevator came to a sudden halt.

"What happened?" Miichan asked.

"They stopped the elevator. Give me a minute and I'll try to override the program." Mayuyu said.

But then there was a ding at the door.

"Not good. Jurina!"

"I got it."

As soon as the door opened, Jurina leaped out like a little monkey and started shooting all the guards outside with her dual action machine guns. Within minutes, they were all killed.

"Got it! Jurina get back in here!" Mayuyu said.

Jurina quickly jumped back in before the elevator doors closed. They were almost there but then the elevator stopped again.

"Mayuyu!"

"I got it just give me time!"

The door opened and this time all the guards outside had all kinds of blades.

"Rena!"

"Ok here I go!"

Rena stepped out with a massive chainsaw. She flipped a switch and the thing started buzzing and tearing up the ground. Rena could barely carry it but then she ran swinging the chainsaw at full speed. All the guards were slaughtered with Rena's assult.

"Alright let's go!" Mayuyu said.

Rena got back in and the elevator went down again. They had reached the floor and now it was time to get serious.

"Which room is she in?" Miichan asked.

"The very last one which is all the way in the back." Mayuyu said.

"Let's move."

They started to run down the hall when they were stopped by a huge wave of guards.

"Rena and I got these guys. You keep going." Jurina said as she loaded her machine guns.

As Rena and Jurina distracted them, Yukirin, Mayuyu and Miichan went ahead. But then they were stopped once again by another wave of guards.

"Here I've programed Mariko's location into this map. Take it and go. Yukirin and I got this." Mayuyu said.

"Let's kill them all Mayuyu!" Yukirin said.

"With pleasure."

The two started shooting eveything like there was no tomorrow. Meanwhile Miichan quickly ran past them. She made a quick turn to the right and found more guards. Miichan quickly jumped to the side and pulled out two Glocks. Then she ran down the hall and quickly shot all the guards down. When she was out of bullets, she tossed the guns to the side and pulled out the machete blades. There were a couple of guards in the way but that didn't stop her from cutting them all down. Miichan made another turn and met a new kind of enemy.

"Going somewhere?" he said in a low voice.

There was one guy that stood in front of Miichan that was the size of a small car. He looked like he could take down a fully grown gorilla.

"Move!"

Miichan jumped up and came down on the large brute with the machete blades. But he easily pushed Miichan to the side with a lot of force. Miichan hit hard but that didn't stop her. She pulled out a single pistol and shot right at the large brute. But he shook them off like it was nothing and came at Miichan. He grabbed her head and slammed her against the wall.

"Had enough?" he said.

"Not even close."

It was obvious that using guns wasn't going to work so it's time to use force. Miichan pressed a button on her suit which made it glow. Then she punched the brute sending him flying. Before her could do anything, Miichan ran over to him with amazing speed and punched him again. Then while he was still on the ground, Miichan took out a granade and shoved it in his mouth.

"Have a nice trip in hell." Miichan said as she pulled the pin.

Within seconds the grenade went off splattering the brutes brains across the hall. Miichan kept moving at full speed. Miichan checked the levels on her power suit and saw they were already at 75%. She could feel herself starting to get weak. Miichan made her way to another hall where another strange enemy waited for her. This person was very thin but had a strange weapon. They were two disc shaped blades connected by a chain.

"Let's play." he said.

He threw one blade and Miichan who easily dodged it but while she was dodging the first blade the second one came at her. It wrapped itself around Miichan's ankle and the man pulled her forward. When she was close enough, the man raised his other blade and was going to bring it down on Miichan's neck. But then Miichan shot something at the man from inside her suit. The man dropped to the ground clawing at his neck.

"Liquid nitrogen darts." Miichan said.

"Right now your throat is being turned into a popsicle."

The man tried to say something but was then silenced by death. Miichan kept moving and was almost there when another person stepped up. It was a woman and she was carrying a very large axe.

"You ready to die?" she asked.

"Hey that's my line."

The woman came at Miichan swinging her giant axe. She nearly took Miichan's head off if it wasn't for her quick reflexes. The woman swung only to miss and get her axe blade stuck in the wall.

"Guess it's my turn."

Miichan pulled out a single blade and pressed a button on the end. Then she stabbed the woman in the leg. Before she could take it out, she got blasted with ten thousand watts of electricity. The woman got fried. Miichan checked the power levels on her suit and saw it was now at 50%.

"Gotta find Mariko fast."

Miichan started running again and made it to Mariko's room. The door was at least six inches thick of steel. Miichan reached into her back pack and pulled out a single explosive. She set the timer and backed away. Then BOOM! The door busted down and Miichan rushed in.

"Mariko!"

"Gachapin?"

"I've come to-"

Something was squeezing Miichan's neck. It must have been the girl. Miichan pulled out a small clip and stuck it to whatever was on her. Within seconds, the girl became visible.

"I see you." Miichan said.

Before the girl could do anything, Miichan shot the girl with a revolver.

"Miichan!!"

"She's just a lie. Everything is a lie now come on we need to go!" Miichan said.

"What's goin on? Why are you here?" Mariko asked.

Miichan was annoyed by the girl's confusion and decided to shut her up. Miichan walked over and silenced Mariko with a kiss. When she let go, Mariko had calmed down.

"Everyone is here and we came to save you. Right now they're out there fighting a war and we need to go help them!" Miichan said.

"Miichan..."

"Mariko, your family has come to take you home."
