CHAPTER 3After that even talk with acchan on the same day, Kai immediately talk to her parents about the situation, he knows that this is not the way it is because it’s very complicated but all he wants is to protect atsuko and the baby.
“Mom Dad, Glad I’ve catch you here in the office I thought you’re not here..”
“The meeting has just ended a minute ago and we will supposed to go out with your mother would you like to join us?” Mr. Takahashi
“Dad..I need to tell something to both you..and I don’t want to join you on your date with mom, it’s your own private time..” Kai
“What is it Kai? I can feel it’s really important I can sense it..” His mom certainly knows him well
“Oh no mother’s intuition is always right..” Kai let a deep sigh before continuing again “Mom Dad..I know just a while ago when were having breakfast together, one of topics was grandchildren thing, the baby and marriage..Alright here goes.. I’m having a child! Please don’t panic I know it’s too sudden..but..oh how should I put this..” Kai frowns looking at his parents waiting for their reaction.
“Is Ray pregnant?” his Dad made the first response
“No dad..I’ve made it into another girl..” he looks down he feels a traitor for that moment in front of his parents
“Kai kun!!Yataaa You’re really a man!” in his surprise he made his mom happy
“Mom you’re not going to scold me? I made it with someone else..You like Ray right?” he asked
“I like Ray but I like more the baby! Finally I’m officially a grandmother!” his mother goes near to him and congratulates his hands
“So is this alright with you guys? You’re not angry?” Kai furiously asked them
“How could we? It’s a baby kai! You really are my son! You’ve got that from me a good shooter!” his Dad proudly proclaimed his genes
“So I should be thankful then..” Kai bowed
“About Ray..That thing is your control, me and your father doesn’t want to get involve on that.. But we will be getting involve on our grandchild..” His Dad assures him
“Kai kun I want to meet the mother.. Is she pretty and kind?”
“She’s perfect mom..Don’t worry your grandchild will be awesome..” Kai think so
“We better renovate the house to make it a child friendly environment” his Dad was planning
“I shall bring her to you and meet her next week..For now we have just to settle some things..” Kai
Finally one of his confessions was done and he’s glad he never had a tiny problem with it. Only one person left his girlfriend ray. On that night she called ray many times but there was no answer, the phone was just ringing and ringing, again ray disappoints him. Kai didn’t know what’s going on to her, she didn’t even bother to send him mails and call back. He knows ray is busy but it’s almost one week since they had their last conversation on the phone because these past few days they were just exchanging mails to one another. So kai send her a message again because he’s sure that Ray would read it instead wasting his time calling but has no answer.
“Ray..How are you? I missed you so much..
By the way we need to talk personally I have to tell you something that I can’t say on the phone..
This is really important I hope you will grant my request..Take care always..I love you..” sent
From that day on until today kai is always visiting acchan on the store everyday even on weekends he tends to meet the mother of his child. Bringing her fruits and healthy meals every day, He even reads pregnancy books to know the pros and cons of it, searches the internet to study some facts about the changes of a pregnant women. As far as he can, he doesn’t want acchan to bribe some negative emotions, he’s making sure that the girl is always happy and safe.
“Kai..This is too much..” Acchan just shook her head seeing the guy bringing her another basket of fruits
“No..It’s alright..I will be doing this to make sure your doing great..” He smiled revealing his dimples which made acchan pinched him on cheeks
“So cute..It made me giggle..Sorry..”
“You can pinch me anywhere and anytime you like atsuko..That’s part of your pregnancy..Suddenly you want something and now you don’t”
“Eh? Even those things you knew that?”
“Hmm..well it’s a fact on women carrying a child..”
“Better be careful kai..acchan might miss you if missed a day spoiling her..” Yuko jokingly interrupted the two.
“Is that true atsuko?” he teases acchan observing her face turning light pink
“Dame da yo…I’m going inside..” acchan avoided his eyes
“Let me help you with that..” he quickly grab the bunch of fabrics on acchan’s hands “You must not carry heavy things atsuko..”
“ahh gomen..”
“By the way tomorrow is you’re third monthly check up right?”
“Hai..are you coming with me?”
“Of course I would!”
“You don’t have to shout exaggeratedly kai..” acchan just smile seeing his excitement
“Can’t help it..Riku says you’re entering the second quarter of pregnancy, so that means the first x-ray ultra sound..”
“I think you should be the one who gets pregnant because you seems know it all than me.. ” acchan was so fond hearing kai’s reaction every time they talk about this kind of stuff
“By the way atsuko..I made a promise to my parents that I would introduce you to them..Maybe after the check up tomorrow, would you like that?”
“Is it really alright kai? You know the situation..I know your parent are okay with the child but I don’t know how would I approach them..Were not even lovers but we made this..I’m afraid how would they look at me by that..”
“Don’t think of that atsuko..They’re not like that trust me I’m their son..They raised me with all their love and respect..”
“Unn you’ve got a point there kai..So see you tomorrow..We will be closing the store..”
“Let me give you a ride home..please atsuko..”
“Kai..I’m fine..You’re making me a paralyze person..I’m just pregnant..My strength doesn’t change at all..I can still walk, hop and even dance..”
“Don’t do that I’m begging you..You’ve promised right?” Kai bounced back the question to her
“Fine..you win..haist..you’re spoiling me a lot..”
“What was that atsuko?”
“Nothing I said..You win..”
“Hey you two! Why don’t you make this thing real.. like a couple ya know..” miichan shouts at them before going to the car.
“Miichan!” acchan shouts back and wobble her head “Don’t mind her kai..She’s just joking you know miichan’s attitude always like that” she explained, while kai didn’t answer he just look acchan’s face on the side mirror
Kai POV

How I wish miichan’s word is just simple to do..If ray and I were not together I would definitely court you astuko..If only I’ve met you earlier this couldn’t be a problem..”
Acchan POV
“
It’s so very impossible..I know where to place myself kai..And I’m not expecting something too..I know you’re just doing this because of the baby..”
As kai opens the door he held acchan’s hand to assist her while stepping out in the car “Well here we are in your house safe and sound”
“Arigatou kai..be safe too..” she bowed
“I will..Be more safe atsuko..See you tomorrow then..I shall pick you up here ok? Wait for me..”
“Anything you like takahashi..” she chuckled while waving goodbye.
Early morning they went to Riku’s private clinic to do the monthly check up “The father really is excited! So early huh..”
“Gomen doctor..This was kai’s idea..” acchan apologizes
“It’s ok acchan..I know kai will bring you to his house later..I’m just kinda teasing him a bit.. hehehe” the doctor laugh “So let’s start..acchan could you please remove your clothes and change into the scrub suit I’ve prepared..” as soon as achan had change her clothing, the doctor laid her on the flat bed surface and begins the ultra sound. He showed an x-ray vision on the screen, pointing a tiny figure on them.
“There it is..sugoii ne..It’s healthy..Great job acchan..and Kai too I know you’ve been taking of her everyday..yuuchan tells all on me..Ending up she wants a baby too..” riku commenced her
“haa..I can’t believe it..It’s like a seed growing in me..Before I can’t still feel it but now I wanted to cry..It makes me happy..” her eyes are filled with tears rolling down on her cheeks but still focuses on the screen watching the tiny creature move, she just felt a warm surface wiping the tears on her face, it was kai’s hands.
“You two wanna hear the heartbeat?” riku offering them
“Of course we want! Let me hear it first!” kai volunteered “I can hear it clearly atsuko..We have the same heart beat sound..”
“Silly all heart beat sounds are the same kai..” riku
“I can’t wait till the delivery comes..I’m getting more excited..” kai
“You have to wait 6 more months daddy..We shall know the gender by the next 3 months on your third quarter acchan..” riku
“I prefer not to know the gender..I want it to be surprise..” acchan says
“ahh sou desu..OK atsuko anything you want..” kai grinned but deep inside him he really wants the gender but he respects acchan’s decision as a mother.
“You’re belly isn’t that quite big acchan in fact it’s not that obvious that you’re pregnant, it’s still normal..So you can still wore you usual clothes..But when the baby bumps grows you need to wear some maternal dresses ok?” the doctor advices her
“Hai..I will..” acchan nodded
“Next week let’s go shopping atsuko..we have lots to prepare for you and the baby..” kai holds her hands and when they noticed it they immediately avoided each other’s gazes but their heartbeats were racing, they can’t deny the fact that every day they are getting more closer.
