See this is partly why I detest horror torture porn movies. Whenever I hear about the sick, twisted concept I can't help but place myself in that situation and it doesn't get out of my head for a while.  Case in point, The Human Centipede, the writer/director even asked to find out if it was realistic and medically possible. Which apparently it is. Dude should be thrown in jail for even thinking about it. How the fuck do you even get that movie signed off by executives anyway? And if you found out what I said, and wondered how it would work, well just look it up on Google. Let's put it this way, whatever your first thought was in your head, you're probably right. *sigh*  :banghead:

This is WTF. Then again, Ghandi was played by a Brit.

American actor Mickey Rourke will play Genghis Khan in a new film.
 2010-04-24 17:25:20     CRIENGLISH.com      Web Editor: libo

American actor Mickey Rourke, a 2009 Golden Globe Winner and one of the villains in Jon Favreau's upcoming "Iron Man 2", will play Genghis Khan in a new film, which is to be written and directed by John Milius, Sina.com reports on Saturday, April 24, 2010.

Director and screenwriter John Milius previously wrote the scripts for 1980s classics 'Conan the Barbarian' and 'Red Dawn'. In this new project, Milius will present a different view of Genghis Khan by looking at the great military leader from the perspective of his son and grandson. Throughout the movie, there will be many flashbacks to his mid-40s.

The film will be filmed in India and China, and involves many equestrian scenes. Rourke has to practise his riding skills for the film, which is something he seems excited about. He even joked that he might be better at riding than driving.

Genghis Khan was the founder, ruler and emperor of the Mongol Empire. By the end of his life, the Mongol Empire occupied a substantial portion of Central Asia and China, representing the largest continuous empire in Chinese history.

Oh boy. Just goes to show how far Asian actors have progressed in Hollywood. Also pretty stupid considering a film on Genghis Khan was done about 3 years ago, and it was a great movie:

Man the Hollywood adaptation is not even based on the books by Conn Iggulden. Lame.

20th Century Fox Remaking Commando

20th Century Fox has hired David Ayer to write and direct a remake of the 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger-starrer Commando. Erwin Stoff and John Davis will produce.

Ayer is a former Navy soldier who wrote Training Day and moved into directing with Harsh Times and Street Kings.

Deadline New York says Ayer "will put his own real-world spin on this original premise: a retired elite special forces operative sees his daughter kidnapped and is told she'll die unless he gets on a plane and kills the rival of a nasty exiled dictator. In the original, Schwarzenegger jumped off the plane before takeoff, and killed everyone involved in the kidnap plot."

Ayer's version of the character "will be less brawny, but more skilled in covert tactics and weaponry."

Ang Lee's New Film Attempts 3D
« Reply #1369 on: May 02, 2010, 02:42:24 AM »
Taiwan director Ang Lee wants to shoot Canadian writer Yann Martel's renowned novel "Life of Pi" in 3D. Filming is set to begin this August, qq.com reports.

Ang Lee was finally chosen to direct the film by 20th Century Fox, despite the studio receiving several letters of self-recommendation from other famous directors.

The best-selling novel "Life of Pi" has received many awards, including the 2002 Man Booker Prize and Amazon.com's Favourite Book of 2002.

The film will be based on the novel, which describes a magical adventure centering on Pi Patel, the precocious son of a zookeeper. The family decides to move from their home in Pondicherry, India to Canada, hitching a ride on a huge freighter. After a shipwreck, Pi is found adrift in the Pacific Ocean on a 26-foot lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker, all fighting for survival.

In light of the 3D revelation, the studio has increased the film's budget to $70 million. The film is scheduled to hit screens in 2012.

At least Rourke is a decent actor. He at least can't do any worse than when John Wayne played Khan.

I wouldn't have necessarily liked to have seen a sequel, but I'm still sad to hear that Paramount have officially passed up the opportunity for a sequel to Anchorman. The expectation on it would be so huge that it could only disappoint I guess. But still a weird decision to make though, the cast were willing to do it for less money and the original is still loved even now. One of my favourite comedies ever.

But it's ok though, cause in Anchorman 2's place is a movie on..the magic 8 ball?

Stallone Says That Rambo is 'Done' & There Won't Be Another

One of the biggest, and strangest, news stories of last year was one about Sylvester Stallone's Rambo V: The Savage Hunt, his fifth movie in that action series that would introduce some sci-fi to the franchise. Stallone seemed pretty intent on making another sequel, even going so far as to clarify that the story had changed to being about "heading over the border to a violent city," as of last November. Well, found in the latest issue of Empire are some new quotes, re-published by TheShiznit  (via ComingSoon), from Stallone himself that stating that the Rambo  franchise is finished and that there will no longer be a fifth movie.

"I think Rambo's pretty well done. I don't think there'll be any more. I'm about 99 per cent sure."

Although it's unclear (since we're not in Stallone's head) why he's decided to stop after developing another sequel for so long, speculation is that he's so confident in other projects like Expendables that he doesn't need to rely on that franchise anymore. "We are very serious… we're already working on an [Expendables] sequel." So if you're a Rambo fan you better be content with the way Expendables looks, because that will probably be filling in for Rambo. Stallone has a few other action projects in development, but it looks like he's finally decided to leave Rambo and Rocky behind. It's time to move on to bigger and better, I say!

After the final scene of the last Rambo Movie there was no way to continue the franchise, exept a remake from the first part, only with an old Sly. Or they send him to Afghanistan

The only reason to watch Commando was Arnie

More info about the Rambo DC from an US Forum:

Quote
The "R" rated theatrical release was uncut. The extended cut isn't simply a couple of deleted scenes or violent bits added back into the movie, but rather a complete recut. For example, the movie no longer begins with the "contest" the soldiers force upon the Karen villagers. There are lots of little tweaks, restructuring and changes throughout(including the removal or shortening of some of the more questionable FX shots). I happen to think it's a far superior version of the movie when directly compared to the theatrical cut.
...includes an extended cut with a brand new 80+ minute production diary from Sylvester Stallone.

Clash of the Titans was suprisingly good. It had a nice smooth flow.
Iron Man. It seemed to have more of everything, but also really scattered. I liked 1 better.
Ip Man 2 also felt inferior to the first. Still pretty good.
Legion. It was ok, till the middle. I kinda liked the idea of an archangel saving humanity with machine guns. But then it turned into a boring punchfest.

For older stuff. I just checked 1408.
Maybe not the best movie to watch before going to sleep. Darn ending made me jump! XD
