The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove by Christopher Moore.

I bought it because I really liked the title and the setup sounded fun. It was only later when I returned home from the book shop that I noticed that the book has a blurb written by Playboy

If there's a funnier writer out there, step forward

It is hilarious, though. Fast paced and easy to follow. Perfect lazy summer reading :thumbup XD

Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger. Not at all what I expected but interesting. I thought there was sex in it. :nervous

Nine Stories by J.D. Salinger. I really really liked this. A few of the stories were related to Franny and Zooey, as in told back stories of minor characters. I didn't understand a few of the stories...

My Year of Meats by Ruth L. Ozeki. Damn, I thought this book was really good. Finished the whole thing last night, all 361 pages. As entertaining as I found it, parts also grossed the SHIT out of me. It has to do with the drugs and other things given to cows and stuff to "cheat the system" in making them weigh more and stuff like that...and how they affect the common population. Gah, ALMOST makes me wanna give up meat.

Zeitoun by Dave Eggers. I thought it was fascinating to read more in depth about Hurricane Katrina, something I only observed on TV from across the country. I hate to think that it got that scary and crazy in the aftermath... :(

Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. This book gave me faith that there are, in fact, good, selfless people in the world.

I thought it was ok. I did enjoy the naughty parts but it was overall difficult to understand.

That's true about all Murakami novels, though.. no? xD; Have you read The Wind-up Bird Chronicle? It's amazing, and perhaps my favourite Murakami novel *o*; though it's difficult to decide, actually.... hm you've made me want to do a serious re-read of my Murakami collection now (+ reminded me that I should put Murakami novels on my Christmas wishlist).

I'm currently about halfway through A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. Amazing fantasy fiction @_@;!!
