Uh, because even in cleaned-up professional recordings her voice can get uhh...special?

My Koharu story:
I always want to support new H!P members, so I was supporting Koharu from the beginning as well. During the audition I thought her facial features were pretty and "new", something that H!P hadn't had yet. Because I have realistic expectations about H!P, her lack of singing skills was never really a huge problem to me.

I'm liking Koharu more and more as time goes by. I think she has a great aura in a group; my eye just goes straight to Koharu a lot of the time when Momusu is performing.
My favourite thing about Koharu:
Craziness, looks, charisma
A memorable performance:
Not a perf, but Resonant Blue PV (that's when I realized how often my eye goes straight to Koharu. It's been happening ever since)
A moment that surprised me:
That DVD mag where she was talking all serious (has been mentioned here before :3 ). She suddenly seemed so mature. Also, when the Kirari solo project was announced :3 and Balalaika turned out to be totally awesome boing boinging the charts

Simply because she's not as capable as Takahashi or Reina when it comes to singing strongly live. She's not the only one who lipsyncs anyway, and not all the time.

I was never a big fan of Koharu Kusumi but I enjoyed her "out there" personality. she was super bubbly, fun, cutely adorable and entertaining to watch... hearing that she is graduating Morning Musume is sad and i will miss her presence within the group.... I hope she does well in her new path... Modeling I think is what she's into now...

Which btw kinda fits her seeing how tall she is and how well she poses for the camera despite her young age...

lol my strongest memory are:

of her entrance after they announced her as the captian of her village

of when sayu said she couldn't train her cuz of the stress and would pluck her eyebrows in fustration lol.. they had to teach her to walk right or something

of her and eri trying to get the bus while in hawaii and she yelled "BUS COME ON" ointo the phone

lol yea she didn't have the best singing voice lmao her and her odd anime voice singing, and her dance moves alway felt a little wavky to me but it was koha and that what i like and enjoyed about her

im really sad she's going

I too was shocked to hear that she will be graduating. I know it would sound weird but I do enjoyed listening to her songs in Kirarin and Morning Musume. She was always so happy and active in the group but to hear the statement from Tsunku does make me feel skeptical about it weather did something happen behind the curtains.

I'm not really a fan of Koharu. I'd always thought she is quite cute and pretty, but she annoys me more than the other members. But after meeting her along with MoMusu @ AX, I like her a bit more, and hearing what members thoughts of her in the MM DVD Mag, made me thinking it's actually not bad to have her around. at that time she rose through the ranks alittle. But now that knowing about her upcoming graduation, I sort of feel sad and shocked. Not just about her graduating, but about how much I'll actually miss her. I guess it's like what they say, "you won't appreciate someone or something until it's gone."

Now I hope that she'll find success and happiness in the future, as a model or whatever she choose to become. I also hope to hear or watch her interact with the members in future even if she won't be with H!P.

Around a month ago, on their individual Ameba shows, Koharu made up a family tree. A listener sent in to inform the 2 girls about it. Basically, Koharu's mother is Eri and her father is Gaki-san.
