First of all, let's have a quick break with this ridiculous and silly argument and comment on poor writer, Louise-sama. I will admit, I have been procrastinating and busy with my life to comment, but I just had to seeing how laughable this entire matter is. (I apologize if that sounded anyway rude or offensive to anyone.) And no, I am
NOT bringing back up the issue so we can fight over it but rather I'm just inputting my opinion on the matter. Doesn't hurt to throw in your thoughts when you want to.

So anyway, let me apologize in regard to the rest of the members, both readers and/or writers, from up above from causing a ruckus in your thread. Guess it doesn't help when you're merely asking for what pairings your readers would highly look forward to.

So let's start off with the opening! Very interesting and though I haven't myself voted since, well, I haven't, LOL, I sense angst. As a writer who likes to revolve her stories around angst, this one caught my attention quickly. (I think the colors also helped, LOL) The little prequel truly does show the individual yearning for the attention and love of another person they had their eyes on. Oh dear... Love triangle much?

In this war for love, deceits and lies are inevitable. Who can withstand the pain will take the blame. Either way, I won't cry, 'hearts don't break even.'
I really like this quote. Somehow... it struck something inside of me. Wonder what this could mean, haha

Maybe it's because we think that 'hearts don't even break even' is more on a literal sense? But if we think about it, people do actually do of being heartbroken... Though not necessarily the heart itself being broken.

Forgive me for that little ramble.

Alright, now in regard to the voting poll incident... Anou, I'm sure the author here merely wants to know what pairings everyone favors. I mean, that's a reason why there's a poll, yes? If the author really wants to write, let's say, Atsuyuu badly, then she/he will take it down and plaster that beautiful bracket/parenthesis/whatever around the pairing title 'Atsuyuu'. And of course, that could go to the same as Atsumina. If she/he wanted Atsumina, down goes the poll and up goes the pairing that leads the story (along with some others I presume).
Doesn't matter if one bribes another with voting. I mean... It's just voting, haha. If it didn't click, it's you know, a popularity contest of the pairings. Not too surprising, LOL. And I'm pretty sure someone could say/think: "Oh what the hell, I wanna vote for Atsumina anyway even if I did say I wanted Atsuyuu"

Dude, if one wants Atsumina/Atsuyuu, please go over to another writer that is willing to scrawl a drabble or two about the pairings. Or... you could take it to the next level and actually write it yourself. Hey, I mean, you get to have control over the story this time and how you wanted to portray these characters.

If you think about it, this is... just one fiction out of the many in the fan fiction section of the forum here. It's not much of a big deal.

So what if Atsuyuu wins? And so what if Atsumina wins? It's just a poll for the writer to set into stone what characters/pairings they want to revolve around it as. It's not like we're going to go to jail due to the less populated voted option, haha. And I'm quite sure that the author himself/herself would stick to the pairings since, you know, that's a reason why there's a poll (unless it's an opinionated polling, then that's a different matter). Now mainstream or not, everyone had their viewpoints on the situation at hand. Um, I will admit, I myself do say that Mayuki is quite mainstream alongside the more popular pairings, but it doesn't matter. I'm sure there are others who never dived into the Mayuki realm of shipment and view that the pairing is quite a rarity, thinking that Saeyuki is mainstream instead!
Writing is writing. It's just... words with our favorite characters. If you really want, I suggest you can mentally erase the names of the characters and input in the ones you desired and wa-la, you got yourself a fiction with pairings you fully want in the plot.
Not saying that both parties are wrong, but it's just a conflicting desire of which pairing should be the main lead of the story. Opinions are opinions after all.

And I'm not trying to act like I know it all, but merely stating my thought bubble. We should keep this thought in mind though if there are future polls.

Anyway, looking forward to this fiction, Louise-sama!
